Somehow Jorge must have caught my thoughts, because he smiles and tweaks my nose. “I love it when you get all mushy and then get all mad that you’ve gotten mushy.”
Aw, damn. This man is going to completely ruin my bravado yet. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. You think I’m cute. I get it.” I roll my eyes. “Now let’s go home.”
Home. It feels good to say it. I know Jorge and I still have a lot to work through and a lot to learn about each other, but I am no longer afraid. Well, mostly not afraid. I can’t turn into a super-enlightened human overnight. Still, I feel good about us. I know we have what it takes to make this thing work. I let myself get a little lost in his eyes.
His grin widens as he pulls me to him. He brushes my lips. “Let’s. But first I think we need to visit the bedroom again.”
It’s my turn to widen my grin. I’m learning my jaguar man is pretty shameless sometimes. I rather like it.
