Yes, oh sweet God yes!
There’s nothing she wanted more than to feel his cum slamming into her. She clawed at the hay under her as she reached the summit. Just as she hit the point of no return, he slammed into her a final time and with a loud groan, a violent stream of his cum filled her. The feeling of him filling her with his warm cum sent her spiralling over the edge and she echoed his moan. His cum shot into her with several forceful spurts, each spurt setting off another orgasm within her, until she was left exhausted, panting and feeling more satisfied than she ever had before.

“Oh damn.” Keeping his slowly depleting cock embedded within her, he lowered his muscular body over hers and kissed her, sweet and soft. “You’re incredible, Samantha Wilkes,” he murmured against her lips.

She slid her hand to his face, following the hard line of his jawline. “You too Connor Hudson. Have I mentioned how lucky I am to be here right now?”

He smiled. “Not sure. Feel free to say it again.”

“I’m the luckiest girl alive.”

Chuckling, he kissed her again. “I think you’re overstating, darlin’, but thank you.” He slowly pulled out and stood, grabbing his boxer briefs and pulling them on followed by his jeans.

She groaned, reaching out to him. She wasn’t ready to be apart from him, not yet. “Come back down, just for a second.”

“Would love to Princess, but in less than a minute William will be entering the stables.” He said it so nonchalantly that she was left wondering if he was serious or not.

“How do you know?”

“I heard the horses get riled up a few minutes ago. I assume its William, might be someone else.”

“Oh my God!” She squealed, jumping from the hay pile and attempting to pull her clothing on before William or whomever was approaching arrived. “Why didn’t you say something earlier!” She could hear the footsteps now and chatter.

Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod!

“I would’ve but I was in the middle of my having sex with a stunning woman on a hay pile.”

She scowled at him. “Cute, real cute.” She had just pulled her t-shirt over her head when the owners of the voices appeared inside the stable making their way towards them.

“Connor, hey I –” William stopped in his tracks, Jacob on one side and the wolf-dog on the other side. With his mouth partially dropping open, William looked from Connor to Samantha and back again.

Feeling her cheeks burning, she took a few steps to the left so she was partially hidden by Connor’s large frame. Having the eyes of William, a kid and dog on her guilty face was worse she imagined than being caught by her mother. Even the wolf-dog, Max, looked at them with judgment in its eyes.

“I can’t believe you didn’t pull out!” she hissed in Connor’s ear, just loud enough for him to hear.

“What is it William?” Connor asked, ignoring her.

“I’m going back to the parlour. I’ll speak with you later, Connor.” He looked over at Samantha, gave a tight smile and nodded. “Samantha.” He turned to Jacob, spun him around and urged him out of the stable.

“But we have to tell –” Jacob protested.

“Later, Jacob.”

“But –”

As soon as the trio exited the stables and was out of sight and she assumed earshot, Samantha swatted his arm. “What the fuck Connor!”

His body heaved and when he turned to face her a burst of laughter erupted from him.

“It’s not funny. Even Max was judging me!”

His laughter slowed and he reached out and picked a piece of straw from her hair and then pulled her into his arms. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll let you in on a secret.”

“What’s that?”

“I’m kinda the boss here.”

She laughed despite herself. “A boss who has sex with his staff on the hay bales.”

He tapped her on the tip of the nose and then followed up with a kiss. “But the boss, nonetheless.”

Chapter 12

~ One and 1/2 Weeks Later ~

“I’m going to go check on the horses one last time and when I get back I’ll expect to see your pretty little ass dressed and ready to go.” Connor gave her bare bottom a little slap as he walked past and out of the bedroom. “You sure, you really want to go to this?”

A wide smile spread across her lips as she nodded. “Very sure.” While she’d only wanted to go to the first barn dance as a joke and she hadn’t been even remotely serious, now she genuinely wanted to attend. They’d gone into town a number of times and just as Connor said, people there were genuinely nice when she gave them an honest chance. A part of her hoped maybe she might get along with the people in the town well enough to make some real friendships.

Samantha watched him walk down the hallway and disappear down the stairs before pulling on her jeans and tank top, sans a bra. She went to the double dresser and examined herself as she ran a brush through her still-damp long locks. There was a gleam in her eyes that was so foreign that it took her a minute of staring to recognize it – happiness.

Once satisfied that her hair was as smooth as it could be, she patted it down with coconut-scented oil and gave herself one more examination. Clucking her tongue off of the roof of her mouth, she decided she was missing something. Glancing over at his open closet, she saw just what she was missing – a hat – and Connor had a nice black leather one sitting on the top shelf of the closet.

“Dammit!” The shelf was just slightly out of reach. She made a jump and a grab and missed. She jumped a second time; again, another miss. Looking down she noticed a little toolbox at the back of his impeccably organized closet. Lining it up, she stepped up onto it, giving her just enough that her fingertips could touch the brim. Taking a chance, she made another little jump, swatting at the hat. The hat went tumbling over the side of the shelf and onto the floor along with a floral print photo box.

The box cover came off and the contents spilled onto the floor. Frowning and curious of the contents, she stepped off of the toolbox and fell to her knees by the spilled contents. Her eyes immediately caught sight of a man’s wedding band. Picking up the band, she brought it up to her eyes. It was fairly plain, with faint Celtic markings, but no engraving inside the band to give her an idea of who it belonged to.

Placing the ring back into the box, she began to gather the photos. She didn’t intend to look at them, but the urge to peek was too much to resist. The first few were of Connor, bringing a smile to her lips. He looked different than the cowboy she knew now, she immediately knew where they were taken – Miami. Her curiosity was piqued at the thought of any information about Miami; he still refused to talk about it and this was her only clue to his life while there.

A voice in the back of her mind screamed at her to put it all away and that she was intruding on something she shouldn’t be, but she couldn’t resist. The subject of the pictures changed to a slender woman, maybe in her early twenties, with long blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a wide smile. Old girlfriend? She kept flipping and began finding pictures of Connor and the mystery woman embracing. When she came to the wedding pictures of Connor and the mystery woman she gasped, the pictures falling from her fingertips.

“Oh shit.” Knowing she’d overstepped her boundaries she began to frantically gather the scattered pictures.

“What are you doing with those?” Connor’s voice boomed through the room, making her cringe and her face flush in guilt.

Oh shit, shit, shit. Busted.

“I – Ummm.”

Connor quickly crossed the room, gathered the photos, snatching the ones from her fingertips, tucked them back into the box and placed them on the top shelf, pushing it as far back as possible.

“I wasn’t… I mean…” she sighed, thrusting a hand into her long locks and grabbing the hat that caused all the problems before standing. “It wasn’t my fault.”

“Do you have any respect at all for privacy Samantha?” His words were sharp, anger evident.

She swallowed down the lump forming in her throat as she looked up into his angry eyes. “I just wanted the hat. I didn’t –”

“You shouldn’t be going through my stuff. Fuck!” He rubbed the back of his neck, turning away from her.

She knew she should let him have a moment to simmer down, but she couldn’t, she needed to know about those pictures. “I don’t get it. Why are you hiding those? Are you divorced or something?”

He shook his head. “No, I’m not divorced.”

“Well, I saw wedding pictures of you and –”
Holy shit, he’s married!
The pieces began falling into place. His aversion to dating and relationships. So what was she? A lapse? Where was his wife?

He walked over to the window and peered out in the direction of the stable. “Her name’s Rebecca. We were married a couple years out of high school. I met her when I moved to Miami.”

“So where is she?” Samantha held her breath, hoping the worst wasn’t right. Hoping there was a reasonable explanation, one that didn’t involve him cheating on his wife with her.

Connor’s body stiffened. “She’s dead, because of me.”

Samantha’s mouth fell open. She wasn’t sure what she was more surprised over, the fact he had been married and his wife was now passed away or that Connor claimed to be the reason. She shook her head trying to make sense of it all.

“I don’t understand.” When he didn’t answer, she stepped up behind him and taking a chance she may get rejected – or worse – but not knowing what else to do, she slipped her arms around his waist and pressed herself to his back. To her relief he didn’t force her away.

“Samantha, I –”

“Please. Talk to me. I need to understand. Please.” She shrugged and pressed her forehead to his back. “I can be a good listener for you, if you want me to be.”

After a minute she was about to give up hope he would answer when he released a loud sigh and turned in her arms. When she looked up pain was etched in his expression and reflecting in his eyes. To her surprise, he pulled her into his arms and buried his face into her hair.

“I’m sorry I yelled at you, Sam.”

She flashed him a smile of reassurance. “It’s all right. I’m sure I deserved it for something I’ve done over the past couple of weeks.”

He chuckled softly returning her smile, but his expression quickly grew somber. “I failed her, Sam. I promised to protect her and I didn’t live up to that promise.”

He wasn’t making a lick of sense. “I don’t understand, Connor.”

He let out an unsteady breath and pulled back. Taking her hand he led her over to the bed and sat down, pulling her down and onto his lap. She slid her arms around his neck and pressed herself tight to him, sensing he needed her support for whatever it was he was going to say and she was grateful he was allowing her to be that support.

“You can tell me anything. You know all my ugly secrets.”

He chuckled, although the laughter didn’t follow through to his eyes. “Sweetheart, you’re still young, your secrets aren’t that bad. Besides, the worst were posted in the gossip pages.”

She laughed and gave him a swat on the shoulder. “Not all of them.”

“Hmmm. Remind me later to find out more about that comment.”

“Please tell me.”

“I met her when I moved to Miami, she lived in the apartment next to the one I moved into.” A faint smile touched his lips. “I tried for weeks to get her attention, get some sign that she was interested. Hell, when I heard her leave her apartment I’d make up some lame excuse to leave as well, just to ride the elevator with her. She was always full of life and happy. I don’t think I ever saw her in a bad mood. She was one of those people who made you feel good just being in the same room with her, you know?”

Samantha nodded, but in truth she had no idea how to comment so she remained deathly quiet, scared any word from her would make him clam up.

“Finally she took notice of me and we started dating. I knew after the first date that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. We were married three months after our first date. I just knew it was right and I was young, anxious to be married and start a family.” He paused and caught her gaze; she nodded her head, urging him to keep going.

“A month after we were married my brother and I opened the club. She worked as a bartender and after a couple of years of hard work, devoting everything we had physically and emotionally, it became the hottest place to go in Miami. By then she didn’t need to work the bar, but the club scene was in her veins. So each night while I worked the club keeping everything in order, she partied.”

Samantha knew well enough how addictive the club scene could be: the friends, the alcohol, the drugs…the good times. She also knew all too well how that kind of life could take a toll on you. She’d lost count of the number of friends she knew who were sent to rehab; they’d get out, go back to their wild lifestyle and the never-ending cycle would just continue. She realized at that moment she was one of the lucky ones.

“Drugs began circulating the club, it’s next to impossible to keep that shit out. And in truth I didn’t make it my business to care. As long as I was making money, the guests were having fun, coming back and no one was getting hurt I turned a blind eye to it. On one level I knew things were getting bad for her; that she was getting over her head. But I was so damned busy being successful that my head was too far up my ass to see what was right in front of me. Maybe I didn’t want to see it, I don’t know.”

“So what happened?” She suspected she knew.

“She started spending time with a crowd I didn’t approve of. I knew they were trouble, I voiced my opinion, hell I even forbid her to socialize with them, which caused a major strain on the marriage, I even banned the group from the club, but it didn’t matter... So one night she told me she wasn’t going to go with me to the club, she told me she had a headache and wanted some down time at home. In truth I was hoping maybe she was finally seeing things clearly and was going to take a break from the club scene for a while.” His jaw clenched and she could see him struggling.

“What happened?” She held her breath waiting and hoping he’d tell her the rest.

“The night at the club was surprisingly quiet, no incidents at all, it was a good night. I closed up and just as I was walking toward the car to go home I got the call.” Anger flared up in his eyes and his body tensed against hers. “The fuckers left her in the parking lot of the hospital. Just fucking left her there, didn’t even take her inside. If they’d taken her in maybe she’d still be alive.”
