Chapter 7

My first time having sex can only be described as amazing but scary.  Not only was Ryder very, very good looking but his dick was a master piece.  Huge, thick, and he knew what to do with it.

“What’s going through that pretty little head of yours?” He asked and lifted my chin to look at him.  The steam inside the glass shower causing little drops of mist to cover his thick black eyelashes.

“Nothing.”

“Bullshit, talk to me Harley.” His thumb caressed my cheek.

I tried to lower my head but he wouldn’t let me, “I just…you’re more experienced than me.”

“Do you want to know how many women I’ve fucked?  Just one, that’s it.  I never went without a condom.  While we are on that subject, don’t you suppose that maybe you should have told me that you were a virgin?”

“I wanted to, I thought you knew, but…it was feeling too good.” I could feel myself blushing.

Ryder smiled, “Do you regret it?”

“What?! No!  But Ryder, we can’t date.  I’m going to be leaving for college in a couple of months.”

His jaw muscle ticked, “You don’t think we can have a relationship if we live just a couple of hours away from each other?”

“I…I didn’t say that.  It’s just…”

He cut me off, “I get it, you don’t trust me do you?” he was clenching his teeth together so hard I could practically hear his teeth grinding together.  He opened the shower door and got out before I could say anything to answer him.

When I got out of the shower he wasn’t in the bedroom I found my clothes and got dressed.  I found him in the kitchen making a sandwich.

“I didn’t say I don’t trust you.  It’s just that I need to be able to focus on school and I’m going to be busy…”

He nodded his head, “And you’ll be meeting new guys.  You seem to forget that I can be there in no time at all if you call.  You hungry?”

“Ryder,” I sighed and tried to keep the tears from falling, “Please don’t be like this.”

He slammed his hands down on the island, “I’ve been in fucking love with you for years Harley…fucking
years
and before I even get a chance to prove just how much.  You fucking shoot me down.”

I shook my head, “No I’m not.  If’ you’re going to be like this, please just take me home.” I wiped a couple of stray tears off of my face.

Ryder nodded his head and walked through the house to get his hoodie, “We’ll take the car back to town.” He said as he walked past me to the front door.

The ride to town was quiet except for the music playing through the speakers.

“Ryder, please don’t be mad.”  I said as he turned down the street to my house.

He didn’t say anything until he pulled up in front of the house and put the car in Park but didn’t shut it off.  He leaned his elbows against the steering wheel and scrubbed his hands down his face.  “You want to know what my biggest fear is Harley?” without giving me time to answer he continued talking, “That you’ll go to college and find somebody else without even giving me a chance.  I don’t know what I’ll do when you bring a guy home to meet your parents.”  He finished then finally looked at me.  “I said that I love you and I mean it.”

More tears fell, "I, I don’t know what to say Ryder.”  I should have threw myself at him and told him that I loved him and had for years.  Instead I grabbed the door handle and got out of the car without telling him.  As I walked to the front door, it took all I had not to turn around and run back to him.

Luckily my parent’s didn’t have twenty questions for me, they were watching a movie so I went up to my room and went to bed.  I hugged my pillow and let the tears fall.  How could I do that to Ryder, but most importantly how would I ever get a second chance to tell him that I loved him?

I spent time with Star since her family would be leaving to go on vacation soon. I stayed busy helping mom and Sydney at the fitness center.  I loved teaching Zumba class with Macy.  She was absolutely hilarious and we always had a blast with the clients.

“So you’re heading off to college in a couple of weeks?  I bet you’re pretty excited!” she said after our last class finished.

“Yeah, I’m hoping I get a good roommate, I’m not sure what I’ll do if I get somebody that stares at me while I sleep.”

Macy threw her head back and laughed, “Sleep with one eye open I guess.”  A tall, extremely good looking guy with black hair and a goatee walked in with her son Colton.

“Hey buddy.” I knelt down and hugged him.  Colton hugged me then darted over to Macy that was now putting her purse in her gym bag.

“I haven’t met you yet, I’m T.C. you have to be Harley.” he said and extended his hand.

“That’s me.” I smiled and shook his hand.

“I’ve heard a lot about you from Colton.  He says you’re a blast.”

I laughed, “I love having him here.”

Macy walked over, “Thanks for dropping him by, this little lady was slow all through class.” She winked at me and bumped her shoulder against mine.

I rolled my eyes, “What she meant to say, is she doesn’t have the stamina to keep up with us young ladies.”

T.C. quirked an eyebrow at us, “Is that so?” he grinned when he looked at Macy.

Macy blushed, “Not talking about this.” She blushed more before grabbing Colton’s hand.  T.C. and I both laughed as we followed her out of the building.

I spent the weekend packing more of my clothes and things that I wanted to take with me.  My cell phone pinged with a new message from a number I didn’t recognize.

This is Sarah Davis, your roommate.  Just wanted to tell you that our dorm is totally the shit!  P.S. I got your number from the email that you sent me a few weeks ago.

Me

You’re there already?  I can’t wait!

Sarah

Well yeah today was the day we could start moving in.  When are you coming?

Me

I might this week if my parents can help.

Sarah

Sunday was the day that the McAllister’s and us would have lunch together.  I caught up with mom and dad as they were getting on dad’s motorcycle.  I loved seeing them together, mom was beautiful and dad was pretty handsome all decked out in his riding leathers.

“Hey,” I flagged them down.

“What’s up baby girl?” dad asked and killed the engine.

“I just heard from my roommate, I was wondering if we could move me down there this week, Please?”

Mom’s eyes got big, “So soon?” she pouted.

“Please…pretty please?” I sounded like a five year old begging for candy.

“We’ll talk about it later.” My dad said.

I knew that they weren’t ready for me to leave home, but I was way excited about starting college and meeting new people.

When we got to McAllister’s, Sydney put mom and I to work fixing the desserts and setting the table.  I grabbed six plates out of the cupboard, “Oh, Ryder’s not coming today.” Sydney took one plate off the stack and put it back.

“Why?” I asked a little louder than I should have.  I hadn’t talked to Ryder since that night at his house.  He hadn’t bothered to text me so I decided it was better if I didn’t text or call him.

“He’s swamped with paint jobs he has to have done before that big bike rally.”

“Oh.” I nodded then walked into the dining room.

The meal went good, I missed Ryder though.  I decided to text him when I left, hopefully he wouldn’t ignore me.

Harley

Missed you at dinner

Ryder

Busy sorry
.

Those two words did two things to me, they pissed me off and made me want to cry.  I had never regretted sleeping with Ryder until that very second.  I made my mind up, I was going to go to college and live life.  Ryder could give me the cold shoulder all he wanted.

Mom and dad decided that I could go ahead and move to Washington State.  I didn’t stop smiling the entire drive there.  Cade and Sydney even helped us move my stuff.  Since mom and Sydney had attended the same college they knew right where my dorm building was located.  The good thing about Cade coming along was us women had to do very little lifting.

I stood at my dorm room door, “Do I knock or do I just go in?” I asked nervously.

Mom smiled, “Just go in.” she twisted the handle and pushed the door open.

“Sarah?!” I called out.

“Just a sec!” her voice was muffled behind a door down one of the short hallways.

A few seconds later she bounded out of what I assumed was her bedroom.  “Sorry about that I was moving my bed around.  I’m so glad you’re here!” she enveloped me in a tight hug.

“I’m glad to finally be here.”

“Okay there are some things I want to get out of the way; One--I know I’m fat but I’m happy and healthy believe it or not.  Two--I’ll be here for you no matter what, anytime you need me…I’ve got your back.  Three—I’ll love you unless you stab me in the back.” She smiled big.  It was that very minute that I knew I had landed the most awesome roommate on campus.

“Good to know.” I smiled back at her.

Sarah was a heavier set woman, but absolutely beautiful.  She could easily be a plus size pinup model.  Her brown hair was tied up with a bandana, she had a light dusting of eye shadow on, and pale red lip gloss covered her full lips.  Mom and Sydney introduced themselves to her; I could tell right away that she had won over both of them.

“Whoa!  Who are those studs?” Sarah’s eyes got big when dad and Cade walked in carry boxes.

Mom laughed, “That guy,” she pointed at dad, “is Bryan my annoying husband.  And that tattooed teddy bear is Cade, Sydney’s annoying husband.”

“Nice to meet you both.” Sarah waved at them.  “Okay, let me show you to your room little princess.” She clapped her hands, looped her arm through mine and walked with me to the opposite side of the dorm room.

Mom and Sydney both laughed, “It’s nicer than what we had that’s for sure.” Sydney said.

“Our beds were like, this far apart.” Mom held her arms out.

Sarah wrinkled up her nose, “That had to suck if you brought home a romper room buddy.”

Dad cleared his throat, “Do you intend on doing that frequently young lady?” he narrowed his eyes at Sarah.

Sarah snorted, “Are you kidding me?  Look at me, I’m not exactly first pickin’ for college boys.”

Sydney rubbed Sarah’s arm, “You’re beautiful, why would you even think you’re not?”

She shrugged her shoulders, “It’s no big deal, honestly, I plan on studying hard and spending as much time with my roomy as possible.”

I loved Sarah, she was the breath of fresh air that I needed.

A few hours later all of my stuff was tucked into my room, Mom and Sydney both started crying when they got ready to leave.  Dad even had tears in his eyes, “I promise all of you, I’ll take good care of her.  No Debbie downers allowed!” Sarah hugged mom and Sydney then Dad and Cade.

We decided to take a walk around campus before it turned dark outside.  While we walked Sarah and I spent that time getting to know each other.  She was the youngest of four girls, her home town was a small town in Kansas, and she chose Washington State because it was far enough away she didn’t have to worry about her mom showing up.

“Why?  I mean you and your mom don’t get along, at all?”

Sarah shook her head, “Nope, I’m the fat one.  The one that won’t amount to anything in life.  She hates that I want to start my own clothing line for plus sized people.  When we get back to the dorm I’ll show you the portfolio I’ve made so far and you can give me your opinion.”

“I’d like that.” I smiled at her.

“OH!  I have a great idea, follow me.” She picked up our walking pace.

“Where are we going?” I asked with a laugh.

“You tell me what sport you like better--Baseball or Football?”

“Honestly I’ve never been big into sports but maybe…baseball?”
