“I'll have it fixed. Kenley would be the main one to trip in the hole.”

“We wouldn't want that,” he said. “I'll take the job, if you don't mind. It won't take long to get it filled, and I'll fix the minor problem with your Jacuzzi.”

“You're a mover,” Milandra reminded him, but happy that he volunteered.

“That's my day job. This will be my evening project.”

“My sisters say I'm stubborn. But I see I have a twin,” she joked.

Nolan took his ultimate chance and extended his hand out to her. “Friends.”

Milandra's hand got lost in his. Nolan caressed her hand as he shook it. He stared into her brown eyes. Milandra felt guilty and let go of his hand. Her eyes began to water.

Nolan could see the tears forming. “I feel so bad. I'm making you cry.”

“It's not you. Don't flatter yourself. I'm overwhelmed—just a worn-out day,” she said, but the tears started flowing.

Milandra hurried inside the house. It was like she had come
down with the flu and her body ached for him, or better yet, the comfort of any man.

Nolan ran after her. He wanted to console her and break the hard shell that Milandra hid behind.

Inside the house, Milandra ran right into Kenley watching television on a leather sofa. Nolan came in behind her. Kenley could feel there was more heat between them than outdoors.

“Humph! It looks like the cat is chasing the mouse. But the mouse doesn't want to be caught,” Kenley observed.

“Hush such talk. What are you doing in here?” Milandra asked.

Kenley smirked. “What were you doing out at the lake?”

Nolan could tell Milandra was embarrassed by how outspoken her sister was. He interjected, “Good night,” and found his way out the house.

“Talk about being humiliated—what's wrong with you?”

“Did he try to kiss you? That's why you came running into the house?”

“I wasn't running.” Milandra wiped her face to show no signs of her tears.

“He kissed you, and you ran from him. Is he a good kisser?” Kenley asked as she puckered her lips.

“Aren't you supposed to be unpacking boxes?”

“You did kiss him. Please tell me, is he a mushy or juicy kisser?” Kenley asked as she got up from the sofa and pulled on her sister's arm.

“Let go of me. I didn't kiss any stranger.” Milandra pushed away from her sister.

“Gosh, Milandra! You're an adult. You met him, you like him, and then you smack him on the lips,” Kenley said as she puckered up her lips.

“Father would slap you if he heard you talking and acting in such a way.”

“I wish I was older. I would have such passion with him—like what I see in romance movies.”

“Kenley Houston, stop such talk.”

“I bet if Miss Half sees him, she'll scoop him up as if he was ice cream.”

“Good night, Kenley,” Milandra said and left the room.

Milandra went into her new bedroom and fell across the bed. After meeting Nolan, she yearned for him to come back and visit.

Chapter 15

A
niyah called Baron constantly until he agreed to escort her to the Houston Estate. She dropped her bag in the backseat of his car, then made her way to the front passenger seat. Without warning, she reached over and landed a kiss on his lips.

Baron pushed her away. “Please, we're in the public eye.”

“That's okay, sugar,” Aniyah said as she pulled down on the spandex dress she wore.

Baron kept looking straight ahead. He didn't want to get distracted from the spillover coming out of the top of her dress.

“After today, we won't be seeing each other. I'll help you get settled at the Houston Estate and that's where it ends.”

Aniyah reached over and touched his crotch. He took one hand off the wheel and pushed her hand away.

Aniyah tickled. “I know you're just playing games.”

“After today, we'll keep our distance. I feel guilty after seeing your mother,” Baron said sternly.

“Get over it. You and I can have a love nest at my new house. I can't wait to get there.”

Aniyah took out a nail file and began to file her nails. She couldn't believe her eyes when they drove up to the Houston Estate. The security buzzed Baron in through the gates.

“Dang, this is like being in jail, behind bars.”

“You've been to jail?” Baron asked.

“One damn time. I stayed overnight for drunk driving. Rum had me mad and speeding.”

“What happened to your car?”

“It wasn't mine. It belonged to the dude I was messing with. My license is still on lockdown.”

Baron looked over at her. He couldn't comprehend how he had allowed her to manipulate him.

They drove to the right of the estate. “The workers' residences are that way,” he said as he pointed to the left.

“Look at the flowers. I could pick roses to put in my hair.”

“Yes, you can do that.”

He pulled around until the house began to show.

“This is not a house. It's an apartment complex,” she said. “I think I'll rent rooms.”

“Oh no, you can't do that,” he said. “I see you have a lot to learn.”

“I got you, baby, to teach me,” she said as she touched him on the neck.

He pushed her hand away. “Keep your hands off me. Please, behave when you get in front of the staff.”

Baron drove up to the front and got out. Aniyah jumped out of the car. She pulled her dress down. She held a big red pocketbook on her arm. He opened up the front door and Aniyah strutted into the house. She began to dance around. “This is beautiful. Look how clean it is. I won't be able to find my way around here.”

“You will in due time,” he said.

Elsa appeared at the sound of their voices. “Hello, Mr. Chavis.” She smiled.

“Hello, Elsa. This is Aniyah Sanchez, Mr. Houston's daughter. She'll be living here from now on.”

Baron knew that word had already gotten back to the help about Rupert having a daughter with one his servants.

“Give me a hug,” Elsa said. She embraced Aniyah.

“Be careful, don't wrinkle my dress,” Aniyah said.

“Oh, I'm good at ironing.” Elsa chuckled as she got a good look at Aniyah's dress code. “I see you look just like Tessa, but you don't dress like her.”

“My mother dresses pitiful. She's not hot like me.” Aniyah grinned as she spun around. She shook her body briefly. “Where's the music around here? It's so quiet.”

“The Houstons only play music in the family room in the evening, except that baby girl listening to music with her ear plugs.”

“Those heifers better not be here, are they?”

Elsa was mesmerized by the way Aniyah spoke of the Houstons. “No, they moved out.”

“They're too uppity for me, conceited, rich broads.”

“I see you do speak your mind,” Elsa said, surprised.

“I'm thirsty. Where's the fridge?” Aniyah wondered.

“It's not too far down the hall.” Elsa pointed in the direction of the kitchen.

Baron, ready to leave, interrupted their conversation. “Elsa, I'll leave Miss Sanchez in your hands. I'll be going. Show her to the bedrooms.”

“Hold up. I don't want a woman showing me where the bedrooms are. That's a man's job.” Aniyah said as she put her arm under Baron's arms.

He gave in, not wanting Aniyah to expose any information about them to Elsa. “I'll go ahead and escort her to the bedrooms.”

Right away Elsa noticed that Aniyah had a crush on the attorney. “Sassy gal,” she mumbled as she left the room. Elsa couldn't wait
for Tessa to call her. She understood why she didn't brag about her daughter. The girl was wild.

Baron led Aniyah up to the second floor. He first showed her the west wing and then the east wing. He showed her the master suite where Rupert and Alana had slept.

“I'm not sleeping on any dead folks' bed. I'm dumping all this mess.”

“Mr. Houston has a storage place on the property. Ask Elsa to get someone to move the furniture for you.”

“Come on, for now you can sleep in the guestroom,” he said as he took her to a huge room with a king-sized bed covered in a white eyelet bedspread. A bouquet of roses in a crystal vase accented a table near the window. Aniyah went into the bathroom. It was bigger than the apartment she had once shared with a boyfriend before they were evicted for nonpayment of rent.

“Put your bag in the closet.”

Aniyah went into the huge walk-in closet. Two long bar rails awaited lots of clothes.

She only had the spandex dress she wore and two other garments to put in the closet.

“Everything is so dang big.”

“Maybe you don't want to live here in such a big house. You can trade with the Houstons. They would be very happy to move back here.”

Aniyah went up to him and yanked on his tie. “No way in hell!” She released his tie. “Take me, baby,” she begged as she reached up and swung her arms around his neck.

Baron pulled her arms off of him. “There are too many people around here. We could get caught.”
This was his excuse and he was sticking to it.

“Who cares? We're both single.”

“Anyone finds out about us and they'll think you and I had something to do with Mr. Houston's death. Milandra Houston would see that I'm disbarred.”

Aniyah went over and closed the door. “Now, no one will see us,” she said as she pushed him, catching him off-guard. He fell back onto the bed.

She jumped on top of the white eyelet spread. Her spandex dress rose to where she could feel the conditioned air on her rear. Her breasts popped out. Baron came eye to eye with her nipples. He was back in the trap he didn't want to be in. It was Tessa he wanted, not her daughter. But his hunger for motherly milk led his mouth to her right nipple.

Elsa came to the top of the stairs. She had brought up two glasses of cold iced tea. She saw the door closed. Putting her ear to the door, she heard Aniyah giggling, but no sound from Baron until he let out a loud moan.

“Well, Father help me,” Elsa whispered. “Tessa has lost her man to her daughter.” She hurried back down the hallway, spilling iced tea on the hardwood floors.

Baron got up from the bed. He put his pants back on. “I must leave,” he said as he headed to the door.
This can't happen again.

Aniyah stood up and pulled down on her dress. She made sure her breasts were covered.

She followed Baron into the hallway. They noticed a male servant had begun to mop up a spilled substance on the floor.

“What happened here?” Baron asked as he straightened his tie.

“Elsa said one of the help wasted tea,” the servant said.

Baron knew there were no spills on the floor when he and Aniyah came down the hall. He wondered if Elsa or one of the servants who brought up the drinks had heard them.

Aniyah gave her attention to the young man. She admired the darkness of his hair and the muscles in his arms from days of hard work. “You're Mexican?” She smiled.

“Yes,” the young man said as he tried to keep his eyes off the dress that was drawn up her legs.

“I'm Black-Mexican,” she announced.

“So am I,” the young man said.

“What's your name?”

“Pete,” he said.

“How old are you?” she asked.

“Eighteen, almost nineteen.”

“I have another job for you,” Aniyah flirted. She took the mop out of Pete's hand and passed it to Baron. “On your way out, Mr. Chavis, drop the mop off wherever it goes? I have a real man's job for Pete to do,” she said as she winked her eye at him.

Baron stood holding the mop in his hand as he watched Aniyah pull Pete by the hand down the hallway. Pete nervously went with her.

Baron called, “Isn't he a bit too young for you?”

Aniyah turned around. “I'll teach him what you old farts lack.” She laughed and kept walking away with Pete to her new bedroom.

Baron listened to them as they spoke, but didn't understand their dialogue at times because they spoke in Spanish. They vanished into the bedroom, with Aniyah shutting the door behind them.

He placed the mop against the wall. He went back to the bedroom and eased the door open. He looked in and saw that Pete was his replacement in a snap.

Inside the room, Aniyah unbuttoned the white, short-sleeved shirt Pete wore. He stood tall with his arms by his side. She removed his shirt.

“Strong arms for a young man.” She admired him.

“Thank you,” Pete shyly responded in Spanish.

Aniyah assumed this was going to be his first time having sex. She could sense that he was nervous by the way sweat accumulated on his forehead. His hands trembled as she placed one of them on her left breast. Right then his hand froze; it lay numb on her breast.

She laughed. “Sugar, relax.”

“I've never been with a girl before,” he admitted.

“See, you have graduated to the head of the class. You get to be with a woman who can teach you how to handle them young thangs.”

Aniyah placed her arms around his neck. She smothered his lips and kissed him with force. She then ordered Pete to remove the rest of his clothes.

Pete followed her instructions. Rupert had recently hired him. He was the first young male that Rupert had ever employed. Due to Alana's heart trouble, a young man stealing his wife didn't threaten Rupert.

Pete was happy that he had a job that gave him room and board. As sexy as he thought Aniyah was, he realized that it was wrong for what he was doing. But to stay working at the Houston Estate, he submitted to her demands just as the women servants had done with Rupert.

Aniyah pulled him over to the bed. “Lay down,” she insisted.

Pete did as he was told.

She studied his manhood as she removed her dress.
