“You gonna be able to handle that?”

“I don’t have a choice. Plus, I’ve been thinking about it, the girl want’s to fight a guy, she wants to be hit by a man so how can I deny a women what she really wants.”

“Yeah, I guess if you put it that way. Just remember, don’t hesitate it will not earn respect.”

“Only in a screwed up world. Right?” Dane just laughed at that ‘because truly he never would have thought it either. “But that is what the women want around here; to be noticed as equals.” He always thought them superior but most men did not. His would be the first fight which he really didn’t like, but Trey would be there and that he did like. He could show her that he would give this women, he was about to fight, the respect she deserved. He defiantly would not hesitate.

Trey went through a longer spi
el than normal explaining a few new things and the whole time she did he could not take his eyes off of her. She was confident, in control and showed strength to back her. He didn’t see her as the goddess he normally does instead he saw her as a queen on her throne. The ruler of all that have come to respect the women in charge of it all. He even respected her a little more which he thought wasn’t possible.

She watched him walk into the ring and look his opponent in the eyes and when he made his decision she smiled, while he smirked the same smirk she would have. But
then she broke with thoughts of when it was them that were staring each other in the eyes in the same situation. He made his strike without hesitation and she respected yet question it at the same time. Yes, she demanded men to respect these women but is that why he didn’t hesitate or was it that he didn’t mind to hit a girl. Her father’s face as he beat her flashed in her head; was he a man like that and is it the reason she couldn’t stand him? Shivers rapped against her body. Trey noticed that he would stay away from the girls face even when it was the only shot for him to take. In order to win he would have to knock her out. ‘What are you doing Ayden?’ Then he went in for the knock out, but it was not a punch to her face. He put her in a head lock and dropped her quick. When he did he turned to face Trey and winked.

She did not look at him impressed or even surprise instead she trained her face for no expression at all. He could not see her eyes from the distance to read into her thoughts and he so badly wanted to walk to her but he had a feeling it would tick her off, at this place. It was something he did not want to do. He walked to Dane and
accepted his congrats with a nod of his head. ‘There has to be something wrong.’ He would have to go to her after the fight to find out, he did not like the way she looked at him at all. There was always an expression on her face. He was getting angry waiting on the remaining three fights and hoped that Trey would slip out without giving a closing statement but it was without luck. She even stuck around until most were gone. When he went to follow her out he lost her but then she caught his eye. She was sneaking like a predator in the night after its prey and he laughed to himself. Was it really prey she was after or was she trying to escape without being noticed? He caught up with her only at her door when he noticed no guy was there waiting on her. “Why did you wait so long to catch up?”

“I wanted to see you home safe and I knew you wouldn’t let me.”

“Right, well here I am at my
shop
nice and safe.”

“What did you think of my fight?” He said it seriously and strained.

“It was more like street fighting and wrestling, not bad but not good enough to make it up the line.” She said it nonchalant and he knew there was a lot more to it he just couldn’t get a good read on her, why was she keeping something close and not sharing.

“Is that all?”

“Yup, pretty much, now I have a few things to do, so if you don’t mind.”

“Just one more question. Where you impressed or depressed with it?”

“Neither, I could care less. Goodnight.” She turned to walk inside and all of it just made him stand there stumped even after she was about to close the door. “Goodnight, Treasack Sirona.” She shook her head, but did not comment or turn around like he hoped she would using her full name. He got no emotions from her and it was making him nervous. He didn’t noticed anything that was going on around him as he walked home. His shower wasn’t reviving or even relaxing, but when he hit the bed he passed out instantly.

She had so many thoughts going through her head she could barely stay in bed. He could have been just toying with the girl or just letting her have more of a fight she was not sure. He didn’t hit her face, yet he didn’t hesitate. He fought well, but she didn’t think it was his best, could it have been an act or just to mess with her? Was he like her father in a way or completely opposite? Yet he refrained from messing up the girls face. She was so confused for the first time in her life; she could not get a read on a person. She tried looking into his soul through his eyes at the end of the fight, but she couldn’t really see them, than he winked. Was that to show off to her or was he just letting her know she was on his mind? She finally fell asleep with the last thought, ‘I don’t give a crap he’s just some stupid test that I will beat.’

She was glad that it was Saturday and she would not have to see him for his nightly tat. She needed the break to think. He would have to be at work early and he didn’t like it one bit. He pondered on going to Trey all day, but opted out ‘because he had a feeling she needed a little space after he saw the way she was last night. It was like she completely cut him off emotionally. It was making him crazy just thinking that, so he pushed it as far from his mind as he could.

Sunday rolled around and she was feeling a bit better, but he stilled circled her mind. She truly had no clue about this guy. There was just something that she was missing and by the time she fell asleep that night she decided that she would just have to dig a little deeper, so she could know what he was really about.

He stayed in bed all day studying and drawing. He needed a relaxing day, he’s been pushing himself to the bone. His mind didn’t agree with the staying still every time Trey crossed it, but his body forced him. He only hoped that the next time he saw her, she would be back to her normal self with him. He didn’t want her to change or hate him. His plan to get to her threw his fight didn't go so well.

School and training went by quick for both of them and so did the week. On the days she didn’t train the girls, she filled the spot with helping them, talking to them, making them see their worth, making them see that they are the only one in control of their selves and their lives. When she gave Ayden his nightly tat, she kept to her promise about finding out more of him. They were at a happy medium almost an acceptance. He tried finding out more about her just like he said he would and it worked because now she wanted the same. Yeah, they still had their moments of testing each other and messing around with the others control, but it was okay they were making progress in what they wanted; to just find out more, be more knowledgeable of each other. After they would run together and it was the ease with each other that made it almost pleasurable to have a companion; an equal.

Saturday rolled around and Trey was up for a fight. Like usual she took the guy home, but told him to meet her in the back of the shop because she knew that Ayden would walk her home. He did in silence and he kissed her cheek like usual with his goodbye. He waited to see if she would wind up on her porch with the guy she just fought and when she did, it broke his heart. He knew she would, but he wished she wouldn’t. He wanted her to be interested in him, it felt like she was starting to, but here she was with another guy. He went to the bar and picked up a girl to block out some of the pain to give love to this girl to make up for the lack of giving it to Trey. It didn’t suit him like usual, but he still did do it just like he also did the past week a few times, it was too hard to keep it from Trey and he had to give it away somehow, see any kind of love.

The next time he went in to get a tat from Trey it took him a bit to settle from the thoughts of her with the other guy, but he did it quickly remembering there has to be a reason for her just like there is for him and he hasn’t given it up, so why would she. He would just have to push her more into liking him, wanting to be with him. There was certain things that he would do that got to her more than usual; him being respectful to women, him being nice to Trey, not as much use of his
mouth,
stuff like that.

So for this week he did so, it made her close up a bit, made her loose some control here and there, but she endure it because she just had to have the knowledge of him so that she could beat him. Instead she found herself respecting him the slightest bit more and it made her open up to him a little more against her will. By the end of their runs at night she felt almost at ease with him or maybe it was just enjoyable in a way she did not want to admit to herself, so she just called it ease. She welcomed his kiss on her cheek just a little and it would put her in good dreams at night that settled her, but irritated her the next morning. She was fighting her feelings that were growing for him like a plant cut off from sunlight due to the huge tree that blocked it. The tree; a symbol of her need to control everything.

He was getting to her; he could see it in her eyes. They were the slightest bit more revealing, but on the night of the fight they went back to the solid barrier that once was there when he first met her. He did not like it and he knew that she would take the guy she fought home with her; he saw it in her eyes after the fight when she looked into those of the guy she just beat. He couldn’t bear to see it firsthand so he ran to the bar instead of walking her home.

She was a bit puzzled by it because for a second time because of Ayden she did not bring the guy home she fought. It wasn’t an anger like last time it was more of a second guess of Ayden that made her do so at the last minute, but then she regretted her decision when he didn’t walk her home. ‘He didn’t care for her, he cared to take her control of the fights.’ It was just a reminder why he was truly there trying to seduce her; she was starting to crack, but instead she built stronger walls that night as she fell asleep. She would just have to keep her need of knowledge of him in check; be more cautious.

Even with knowing she had to be more cautious she still let him in the following week. She had to in order to gain more knowledge of her enemy that was trying to conquer her kingdom. He had to conquer her; he worked harder to try and figure out what truly made her tick; what truly created her to be the way she is built. He tried getting her to tell him more about her past, but every time he did he would watch the walls slide up easily in her eyes, but before they did completely she would give him glimpses that only made him more curious. They were soft spoken words that screamed with a need to control; he understood it, so he only pondered on it instead of voicing it to her.

It’s Thursday night and he had a feeling with the way she was acting when giving him the tat that there would be a fight tonight, so he asked her, “You’ve dreamed about me more, I’m sure not enough
yet,
but how about that
spot of tea
we talked about a few weeks back? Tomorrow after you give me a tat, I’ll take you out for it instead of
our
run.”

“No. I will not give up time to a guy when it is my training I would have to give up.”

“Fine, than after
our training
?”

“No.” She stood up and walked out the front while he trailed behind her. The front; she started to do last week thinking he would go with her anyway why not. She started letting people see she had a weakness with him, but she did not realize the real symbol of it, but Gwen sure did. She was accepting him more than she realized. Jocelyn even voiced it to her, but she only shook her head to the ridiculousness of it because how could she accept him wanting to take her control from her. The fights are hers, she is hers.

He walked out the door, shoulders a bit slumped in defeat behind her. He knew he was a bit closer to breaking her because she actually gave a specific time she would not give up so it meant there was a time she would, he would just have to find it. She was just finishing a text when she turned to look at him with a smirk. He went to wonder about it, but she took off quickly in a sprint. At first there was no jumps, twists, kicks or flips, but then she slowed and started it. He could sense there was something different and he knew it was something about the fight tonight when she lost him. He stopped and finally took out his phone to check it; it beeped a text when they left, but he didn’t want to lose her and here he was checking it after he did almost an hour later. He sees now why it was a different run; he is on the list for tonight and she was trying to wear him tired. He would prove her wrong. He was close to where it would be held tonight so he shot Dane a text to meet him there and walked in himself. He looked for Trey to give her a knowing wink, but he did not see her until she stood to give her round-up speech. He liked her most there he decided; a true queen on her throne, and forgot all about the wink.

He won his fight against a guy this time happily with the knowledge that Trey wouldn’t be taking that one home
ever.
Than he leaned back against a pole to watch her with a little hope that she would lose just so she wouldn’t take this guy home. He stomped on that thought like it was a deadly spider; he would not hope to take these fights from her, it meant to much to her, he could see it in her eyes the need for them just like his. She was smart, calculating and knew each attack before they were followed threw; her drive, her will to survive, to be in control of the situation is what made her a good fighter and Ayden thought of all that. What he liked most was her ability to read the person in front of her; she could look into their eyes and see their drive just like he could. When he made it up the list to her; he knew it would be one hell of a fight. ‘She might just beat me.’ She beat the guy she just fought and he was lost.
