“Kyle…careful…” Jake wheezed, digging his fingers into her hips to draw her into the rhythm. Jake made a feral noise. She opened her eyes to look at him, but Kyle and Jake had their faces buried against either side of her neck, both of them sucking and nipping at her. They slowed down at some unspoken signal between them.

She mewled, clamping down onto them, needing just a little more of the driving pleasure to crest, just another few thrusts. “More,” she cried out, trying to get them to take her hard again. “Please. Harder. Bite me.”

Both roared in unison and began pounding her. As she screamed out her orgasm, they both bit her hard on the neck.

Her orgasm torqued her right into a second climax as she felt them swell and come inside of her. Jake and Kyle both growled out their pleasure as they completed. Her orgasm rolled on and on as she clenched and came, screaming in tandem with them.

It was moments later while she was coming down a little, when the ache in her neck began. She realized they had both bitten her hard. “Guys, what was that?” she murmured, too languid to move yet.

Kyle panted, not lifting his head. She gasped as Jake moved against her, sending her into a wave of aftershock. She clenched onto both of them. They groaned, and she felt them swelling inside of her.

“What…what have you done to me? I can smell…everything…feel…oh Gods…”

“Have to sate you,” Kyle gasped.

“I’m totally sated. I have to be after that.”

“Your body wants more,” Jake grunted, thrusting up inside of her. “And we have to give it to you.”

“We’re completely yours now, we’re completely…we have to.”

“Oh yes, yes…gods…there…” Ellie couldn’t deny, as they moved inside her again, that she needed them more. She’d never been this insatiable, never. What was wrong with her?

“Yes,” Kyle cried out. “There…”

“Yes!”

They came together again, and Kyle rolled them to the side. She slipped off both of them, panting, writhing in aftershocks. After long minutes, she sat up. “What is going on?”

Kyle finally looked up at her, and she gasped, seeing the amber glow of his eyes. “We have a few things we’ll have to explain to you.”

“What the hell—” She drew back.

“It’s all right.” Jake sat up next to her and took her hand, his eyes glowing just as Kyle’s had. Ellie pulled back as she noticed his elongated teeth, the strange cast to his features. “We’re different. But we won’t hurt you.”

She rubbed her neck. “You bit me.”

“You did ask for it,” Kyle groaned, taking her other hand. “Demanded it, actually.”

Ellie blushed. “I don’t know why I did that.”

“Don’t be embarrassed.” Kyle reached out a hand to her chin and she recoiled—his nails had grown into claws. He grimaced, and she noticed his teeth, though they seemed to be shrinking back to regular size. “So…yeah. We’re shapeshifters.”

“Shapeshifters?”

“Werewolves,” Jake offered. “Though that’s not what we call ourselves.”

“I’m…you’re…what?” Obviously the two of them were not entirely human; their features were shifting right before their eyes. But werewolves?

“Surely you’ve noticed a few other strange things around this retreat center.”

“A few, but—” she touched her neck “—you bit me. Did you—”

“No, you’re not a werewolf. That’s not how it works.” Kyle flopped onto his back, blushing. “But we did do something to you.”

“Dammit, I knew this was too good to be true.”

“What?”

“Two hot guys acting out my dirtiest fantasies.”

“I like acting out your dirtiest fantasies.” Jake grinned and stroked her cheek, and she was soothed a bit that his teeth were back to normal, though his eyes were still golden.

“What did you do to me?”

Kyle took her hand again. “We bit you. Among our kind, biting a lover means we are mated.”

“Mated, like married?”

“On a psychic, biochemical level,” said Jake. “There are a few complications. One is you didn’t bite us back, so it’s not yet binding.”

“Ok. And?”

“The other is that we
both
bit you.”

“That means you’re bound to both of us, and we’re both bound to you.”

Ellie shook her head. She was still stuck on them being werewolves. She’d never considered that something might exist like that. Psychic phenomena, sure. Werewolves? “In a minute you’re going to have to explain to me how werewolves actually exist. Right now I need you to explain what this mating thing means. Does this mean that you…own me?”

Kyle grunted, “It’s more like you own us. If you want us like that.”

“We’ll worship you. We’ll make love to you, and no other.” Jake nuzzled his cheek against her hand.

“Is that what you want?” she asked. “You barely know me.”

“You can smell more now, right?”

“Yes. It’s very strange.” She could smell Kyle and Jake—she could smell their desire. Even if she hadn’t just seen them shift, the sudden intensity of her own sensations was clearly not natural. She’d never been able to smell so much. She could almost hear their pulses. And she could feel things from them too. Feel them inside of her skin. She had experienced empathy, clairvoyance, but never something of this intensity.

“That’s just a ghost of what Jake and I can smell and sense. We know more about you than you think.”

Jake caressed her arm. “Do you know how many days I could smell you, aroused and frustrated? I felt how much you needed it, but you never let yourself flirt with us.”

“Jake had to talk me out of hitting on you a bunch of times. We couldn’t tell which one of us you wanted, and we were trying to not compete with each other.”

“Why?”

“We’ve been friends and pack-mates for a long time. But when shapeshifters compete for a lover, it gets bloody,” Jake said softly.

“But then you accepted both of us.”

“We weren’t trying to mate you. I promise you, we didn’t mean to do it.”

“You drove us mad with need. We both got caught up in your need. In your scent.”

Ellie scrubbed a hand over her eye. “So I’m not a werewolf.”

“No.”

“But I can smell things.”

“You’re part of our energy field. And you’re biologically compatible with us. It’s hard to explain.”

“Particularly when we’re totally shagged out,” Kyle grumbled.

“And I don’t have to stay mated to you?”

Jake and Kyle went still. Jake broke the silence first. “You can repudiate the mating at any time. It’s a psychically complicated process and takes some time, but yes, you can go back to being a normal human.”

“If you want,” Kyle said quietly.

Ellie made them stop touching her and pulled a pillow close to wrap herself around. Jake and Kyle did their best to answer her questions for nearly an hour about their pack, about shifting. Finally she drew her knees up to her chest and buried her head on them.

“Sweetheart?”

“Nnnnn.” She shook her head.

“What’s that baby?”

She looked up. “This is a little too much to take in.”

“Sorry, baby,” Jake kissed the palm of her hand. “We didn’t know this would happen. We just wanted to make love to you.”

She squirmed a little, surprised that his words still had the power to arouse her, and both Kyle and Jake leaned forward a little, their eyes going amber. “Whoa. You guys are going to wear me out.”

“We can’t wear you out. You have some of our stamina, so that we can’t hurt you.” Kyle started nibbling up her arm.

“I…need rest. I have to get up in the morning. So do you.”

“Yeah, but baby, we can smell how much you want it. Every cell in my body is clawing at me to fulfill your every need.”

“I can’t possibly come again. I’ve never, ever come this much in my life.”

“Let us please you again.” Kyle leaned forward to kiss her.

She responded for a minute before she slid off the bed. “I need a moment, guys.” She bolted to the bathroom.

Kyle and Jake looked at each other. “What are we going to do?”

Jake shook his head. “She needs time. This is a lot.”

“Jake, if this is a lot for her, how will she handle the pack?”

“She’s brave and strong, otherwise we’d never have been driven to mate her.” Jake frowned. “I am concerned though. Do we even know how much this will change her? Do we know any mated humans she could talk to?”

Kyle groaned. “I do.”

“Who?”

“Guess.”

Jake swore a foul oath. “Kara’s mate? You want to talk to your ex-lover from Hagalaz pack that’s out for our blood because you shagged
her
without permission from their shaman?”

“That…would be the one.”

“Fuck, Kyle. Just…fuck.”

“Kara wasn’t mad. I don’t think. It was her pack. It’s a risk we’ll have to take.”

Jake sighed. “Do you think Ellie’s ever coming out?”

Ellie started laughing. She worried she’d never stop. Finally the hysteria eased. What was she going to do? Apparently she had to start believing in werewolves. Shapeshifters, she corrected herself.

And after all she’d done that night, how could she still be lusting after them? And yet she did, she wanted them. Craved them. But did she want them enough to risk becoming not-quite human? What did it even mean?

“Sweetheart, you all right?” Jake knocked.

“Yeah.”

“Can we come in and rinse off?” Kyle peeked in, looking sheepish.

She wrapped herself in a towel. “Sure.” She dodged them both. “I’m going to go back to my room.”

Both men looked stricken, and Ellie instantly felt bad. She was so confused.

“I’m sorry,” Kyle said. “I didn’t mean for all this.”

“I believe you. But I need time.”

They both pulled back, visibly straining with effort. “If you wish.”

“Ellie, I want you. I want to be your lover. I want to please you.” Kyle reached out a hand to caress her cheek.

“You have to feel us burning for you through the bond; and we can feel you burning too.”

It was true. Her pussy was tight and throbbing again. She could smell their desire. She shook her head. “This is… Please. Can I borrow some clothes?”

Kyle gave her a look she couldn’t interpret. “Of course, sweetheart. Just a moment.”

He brought her a T-shirt and sweatpants. “Thanks.” She started gathering up her clothes.

“Don’t worry about those. We’ll wash them.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, babe.” Jake’s voice shook a little.

“Ok. Um…good night.”

“We’ll see you tomorrow.”

Ellie closed her eyes so she wouldn’t see the devastated expression on both of their faces.

Ellie felt less sore than she expected. She stretched awake, her thoughts already spinning about what to do. She was completely conflicted; her lovers were shapeshifters…they wanted her to marry them after one night…that was more than she could even cope with. There was something inherently unfair about all of her fantasies of being with them, living with them, and to have them suddenly offer up all her fantasies. It was just too fast.

Seeing herself in the mirror, she grinned wryly at the howling wolf on the shirt Kyle had loaned her. She realized she’d have to go throw her laundry into the dryer, as it was still in the washer. She looked for Kyle’s sweatpants and noticed her laundry basket just inside the bedroom door with a plate of bacon and eggs on it.

“Oh my,” she picked up the plate and saw a note that said simply, “Good morning.”

She sat on her bed, a little disturbed by how aroused she got at the thought of Kyle and Jake, and breakfast in bed, and the morning lovemaking she could have had if she’d stayed with them last night. She wanted it in a way that shocked her. Maybe if they could just slow things down, see how the summer went, she could give them an answer.

“Little Physicist on the Prairie, indeed.”

“I notice you didn’t mention that we’re going to go completely bonkers mad in a few days if she doesn’t make a decision.”

“In case you didn’t notice, she was totally overwhelmed.” Jake flipped more eggs. “We also didn’t bring up that if she leaves here and meets up with other shifters who smell us on her, she could be in danger.”

“That would be excessive to burden her with that now.” Kyle smiled softly. “Do you think she’ll like breakfast?”

“At least as much as she’ll like folded laundry.” Jake smirked.

Kyle’s hand shook as he flipped the bacon. “I don’t think I can go much longer without seeing her, touching her.”

Jake nodded. “Me either. Call Kara.”

Kyle grunted. “Wish me luck.”

Ellie managed to get through the morning without seeing Kyle or Jake. She ached for them, craved them. But seeing them meant talking to them. And it meant trying to figure out what to do about them. Maybe a few days away would clear her head a little.

She spent her morning working with Kerri and Angel. They drove the tractor to the creek and worked the rocks into the tractor bucket. “This is great, Ellie. I’ll still need to buy some flagstones, but this will go a long way and save SpiralStone some money. We’re just barely scraping by.”

“Happy to help.”

“Here, I’ll give you a ride back up to the house. Either of you want to try driving the rig?”

Angel and Ellie looked at each other. “No, that’s ok.” They both laughed.

“Suit yourself.”

Ellie washed off in the sink near the dining area when Kyle brought in large bowls of salad for lunch. “Ellie,” he murmured, setting the bowls down. “How are you? Did you sleep ok?”

“Yeah. Thanks for breakfast. And laundry.”

“You’re welcome for breakfast. Jake was laundry.”

He caressed her cheek, and she went liquid at his touch. She saw him breathe in. His eyes went amber. How had she missed that before, that animal glow to their eyes?

“I’m sorry things went too far.”

“We were all a little…pent up, I guess.”

“It’s more than that, but yeah, Jake and I haven’t been with a woman since we got here.”

“No? But you two are so…wait. With a woman?”

Kyle shrugged. “Jake and I have been with each other a few times over the years. We’re bisexual.”
