“Goodbye, Jenny...” Logan’s low voice sounded so empty.

And it’s my fault.

I
got all of my things packed in the hotel room. I stared out of the window and the sun started to rise on the beach. Even though, it all ended so terribly—I’d never had so much fun on the beach and making new friends.

No doubt the Hunter clan wants nothing to do with me. Not after how I embarrassed their alphas.

The ride to the airport took no time at all. I woke up late so I only had so many minutes before the arrival of the plane. And then I would be back. Back to my old life of shelving books. No more sun. No more sand. No more beach. No more hunky shifters craving to have me on their arm.

No more laughing in bed. No more home cooked meals. Just frozen dinners and cold nights alone in my covers.

I hauled my luggage, slightly leaning as I carried it.

“JENNY WAIT!”

I heard someone call from behind. Quickly, I spun around Logan and Kai stood there. Still, as brawny and powerful as I remembered them.

“What are you guys doing here, my flights going to leave in any second?”

Even I didn’t think I deserved a second chance.

“Listen,” Kai spoke. “We planned on marrying the perfect mate? Turns out we don’t want the perfect mate. We want the mate who eats every last morsel of food.

“—Or, is deathly afraid of swimming in harmless water...” Logan chimed in.

“We want the girl who dances with two left feet in my kitchen...” Kai shamelessly drifted his hands down to my hips.

“If the perfect girl does exist...” Kai whispered against my hair. “—it’s you.”

They both embraced me in a vigorous hug. Logan picked up my luggage, just like the day I arrived.

He marched out in front of Kai and me.

Kai tucked a tendril of hair behind my ears and I stared directly in his golden eyes.

“So, where do you want to go?” Kai growled, holding me close to his strong body.

My stomach grumbled loudly. I half-smiled embarrassed.

“Don’t worry, I’ll cook us something to eat...” he lowly chuckled.
