“Uncle I didn’t do anything. I would never hurt Honesty. I’m in love with her.” Gigi broke down crying.

Loyalty’s mouth dropped and Khalil’s eyes bucked. Silence filled the air as the nurse came to get both of them to take them to the back. She took Loyalty to have her blood drawn and she took Khalil into the room with his daughter.

“I don’t know you sir, but I do know Gorgeous, and for what it is worth. She does love her. She didn’t do this to her.” D.J. said to Khalil.

Khalil couldn’t stop wiping the tears away as he thought about his oldest daughter dying. He remembered when he first set his eyes on her. He had just gotten out of jail and just like every time he got out, he went straight home to Beloved. He had heard that she had gotten pregnant but he didn’t care. Beloved would always be his woman. He looked at the baby and she was the carbon copy of the woman that he had found himself loving unconditionally and just like that he was a father and he was in love with her. When he asked her who her father was, Beloved told him that she had no father. He told her that as long as Allah blessed him with breath that she would always have a father.

He pulled up a chair and sat next to the hospital bed. The sheet was pulled up all the way to her neck and her head was covered in a white paper bonnet. He wanted to hold her hand. He pulled back the sheet and he saw all the cuts from the glass. Khalil wiped away all the tears that had been blocking his vision. This was not Honesty. This was Leigh. He had completely forgotten that she was in the car with Killian. He ran out of the room full force to go and talk to the doctor.

Chapter 26: Two for the price of one

She pulled up at Poke’s spot and got out of her black Porsche
Panamera
. It was pitch black dark out, but that didn’t stop her from looking around to see who might be looking at her. She had on a black Victoria Secret Pink sweat suit with the hood pulled up over her blonde hair. The last thing she needed was for someone to spot her. The music could be heard outside as she banged on the front door.

Poke came to the door with a glass of clear liquid in his hand. His shirt was off and his pants were unbuckled. She entered, looked past him and saw a girl sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed and she was drinking the same thing that he was drinking. She was not expecting him to have company. Poke’s face was messed up pretty bad, especially his lip it was swollen twice its normal size.

“Bout time you got here, I’m ready to dip. I got a feeling the bottom is gonna fall out soon and I need to be the hell up out of dodge.” Poke said to her.

“Yeah, I got two thousand for you right here. But I’m telling you nigga, something
ain’t
right with you and the work cause I know them folks had some top notch shit.” She reached into her
Fendi
Spy bag and took out her wallet. She counted twenty one hundred dollar bills and handed them to Poke.

“What the fuck am I supposed to do with this? Bea, you got me fucked up. I can’t go nowhere with this
lil
’ bit of money. You are gonna have to come better than this.” He shouted at her.

Bea took out her chrome three eighty caliber pistol and pointed at him. “You are getting beside yourself. Now I’m feeding you. It’s your own damn fault you
ain’t
eating. Now you are gonna go away for a week, sneak back into town and finish what the fuck you started. I’m not who you need to worry about. You need to worry about the wrath of those who you did something to.”

“Bitch don’t come into my house threatening me. I was following directions, so if they come for me, trust me I’m gonna lead them right to you.” Poke said through his teeth, he couldn’t believe the nerve of Bea.

She couldn’t wait till this nigga was out the way. She was gonna enjoy this.

“Calm down, we are business partners; you know that we are better than this. I got you. Go outta town and chill for a minute, then come back. If you need something, just let me know and I will Western Union you. That is all the cash that I could get my hands on in short notice.”

Bea looked over at the girl sitting on the sofa, she wasn’t saying anything and she was just all eyes and ears. No witness, No cases. She walked out the door.

Poke locked the door and turned around to face Sheena, she looked like she had an attitude.

“Don’t pay attention to what you just saw or heard. I got some money. I just told her that I didn’t so that I can get what she owes me. She be trying to birdfeed a nigga.”

“You better have some money cause I can be staying here making money instead of going with you” Sheena rolled her neck when she rolled her eyes at Poke.

Bea walked out to her car and popped her trunk. She looked around to make sure that she wasn’t being watched. She got out the three gallon gas can and closed the trunk. She heard Poke turn the music up again on the inside of the house. Bea went straight to the back and started to pour the gas around the small house. She noticed there was a laundry room that looked like it had been added onto the house. She peeped inside and there was a washing machine, dryer and a hot water heater. A light bulb went off in her head as she pulled out a pocketknife and slid it between the twist lock and the door.

The door opened, and she went in. The door leading to the inside of the house was cracked open. She heard the music and sounds of sex. She opened the door so the fumes would go into the house once she turned the knob on the hot water heater. Bea bent down and turned the knob and closed the laundry room door back. She finished going around the house with the rest of the gas. The house would be up in flames in no time once they lit a cigarette or blunt because it was made out of shabby materials. If the carbon monoxide leak didn’t kill them first.

Bea peeped around the side of the house to see if anybody was there and came around. After she finished putting gas around the entire house, she popped her trunk to put the three gallon gas container inside and gas splashed on her jacket. She glanced at the street to make sure that no one was looking as she took off the jacket and threw it in the trunk too.

As she got in the car she noticed a Dodge Challenger slowing down as if it was lost, it then sped up going up Perry Boulevard. She shook it off as someone being lost, got in her car and put it in reverse, going in the opposite direction toward Hollywood Road.

Rafek
was surprised that he had just seen Gigi leaving Poke’s house. He wondered to himself what that was all about as he turned in the first driveway in Perry Heights apartments so that he could go back down the street. He was prepared for whatever happened tonight, he had some chloroform, duct tape, zip ties and of course he was strapped. He wanted to do Poke's slimy ass on sight but he had to grab him so that he could take him back to Sam. She was adamant that she wanted to handle him herself. She didn’t say what condition that he had to be delivered to her in.

Rafek
knew that Poke wasn’t going without putting up a fight; he would just have to beat his ass. As he got to the top of the hill, he could see flames. He slowed down and rubbed his eyes in disbelief, he was in shock. It took him all of two minutes to go and turn around and now the house was on fire. He picked up speed and headed back to the warehouse to report to Sam everything that he had just seen. He glanced in his rearview one last time as he heard an explosion. Gigi had beat Sam to the punch killing Poke.

Loyalty sat in the laboratory, the phlebotomist had just drawn her blood to test it to see if it was the same type as
Killa’s
. She hadn’t had a chance to call or text K.J. since she had been at the hospital, she pulled out her iPhone to text him to let him know what was going on. The nurse walked in and she put her phone back into her purse, she would just call him after she donated the blood.

“Ms.
Rasheed
, you and your brother are the same type, but we can’t take blood from you in your condition.” She said as she looked down at the clipboard in her hand.

Loyalty looked at her sideways, “What the hell you mean, I can’t donate in my condition. Bitch I don’t have a condition. You need to take this blood because my brother needs it to live.” She shouted.

“Calm, down baby, your blood pressure is already up a little bit. Have a seat. We do not need you to get it up anymore. Your father is already going through enough with three of his children admitted at once. You are going to stroke yourself out and that can’t be good for that child you are carrying.” The older nurse told her in a very calm tone.

Loyalty literally froze; she played the words back extra slow in her head.
Can’t be good for the child you are carrying
.

“Are you telling me that I am pregnant?”

“Yes ma’am you are and that is why it is important that you calm down.” The nurse replied sweetly.

“I’m so sorry for my outburst. It’s just that I’m worried about my family. My brother and I have the same father; he adopted my sisters so I have to do this for him.” She apologized to the nurse feeling bad for how she reacted.

“Well, we can still get some from your father and just because we do not have any of your type here at the hospital doesn’t mean anything. We can still get some from the blood bank. Everything is going to be okay.” The nurse rubbed Loyalty on her back to comfort her.

Loyalty got up from the chair, went back out into the waiting room and sat down. She pulled out her iPhone and saw that she had four missed calls and six texts from K.J. She knew that she needed to let him know that she was alright, but after getting the news that she had just gotten, she didn’t know what to say. She sat there spaced out trying to figure out what to do.

Gigi had her head down in her hands, she couldn’t tell if she was sleep or not. Her bodyguard/best friend was playing a game on his phone. D.J. had his
iPad
2 in his lap looking at a movie with headphones on his ears. The waiting room had emptied out since she had gone to the lab, now they were the only ones there as daylight crept in through the double glass doors. She decided to get a little rest herself; maybe she would wake up with a clear mind.

Chapter 27: The biggest boss you have seen thus far

Khalil burst into the emergency room waiting area breathless, he felt renewed with the fact that Honesty was not on her deathbed. But he was sad at the same time that Leigh was. He had gone to the nurse’s station and informed them that the young lady who he had just seen was not his daughter, but his son’s girlfriend. He didn’t know how to contact her family because he had just met her. The nurse said that they were going to go through her things to find her identification.

They allowed him to look in on Honesty and Reality. Both of the girls were resting. The doctor had sedated them both. Khalil thought about his son. He was going to pray really hard because he knew that even though Killian could make a full recovery physically; emotionally and mentally he would never be the same.

He looked over at Gigi and he felt bad for how he had lashed out at her, he planned on apologizing when she woke up. The sun would be up in a minute and hopefully they will be discharging the girls when they awaken. The automatic doors opened and a cool breeze blew in. He looked up and coming through the door was Ponchees. Khalil’s mouth fell open.

Ponchees came straight to the hospital as soon as he landed. He felt responsible because he was supposed to be protecting everyone. Khalil’s face was the first one that he saw, he still looked young for his age, but you could see the worry on his face. He stood up as Ponchees approached him, he reached his hand out to shake his and Ponchees grabbed his hand, pulled him forward and embraced him. They had seen a lot of stuff over the years and dealt with a lot of problems together, but the strongest fiber that held their relationship together was the love that both of them had for Black
Sillk
.

“Good friend, it has been a long time. I’m not going to ask you how you knew, I’m just going to say thank you for coming.” Khalil patted Ponchees on the back, slightly overwhelmed that he had come all the way from his villa in Mexico.

“You just said it, good friend. I’m not here in the states all the time, but I’m here when it counts. How has my little
mija
been doing” Ponchees pointed to Gorgeous who was sitting in the chair with her feet under her sleeping.

“She is doing well. She doesn’t like when I tell her that she is like her mother, but she is. You know for yourself that Solitaire could wrap anyone around her finger. That is a good quality to have when you deal with so many people. Then she has a good business head on her shoulder, she be wheeling and dealing.”

“I know all these things, but how is she really doing. I mean no matter how many eyes I have around her, they are not family. Concrete’s loyalty is to her, so I’m not hearing anything from him. What is she really doing? She isn’t drinking or drugging or anything? I worry about her so. At first after
Sillk
died she called every day, now I barely talk to her once a week. She is in charge of a lot of people and a lot of money, but I don’t want it to be too much on her. She is still a young lady with her entire life ahead of her. I don’t want her to get wiped out.” Ponchees was concerned for Gigi and you could see it written all over his face.
