“Yeah? Tell me what you’re imagining.” Justin’s voice was low and a little breathless, starting to pant a little bit.
“I can tell you’re jerking off, just from your voice. And I’ve seen enough of your videos to know what you look like doing that. God, you’re so fucking hot. I want you bent over, maybe across the arm of the couch or on all fours on the bed When Work Is a Pleasure |

or the floor. I want to see my dick stretching your hole, see the sweat on your back, lick the drops from the back of your neck. Wrap my arms around you and just
take
you,” Garrett groaned.
Justin groaned too. “Damn, Gar, I love it when you let go a little, just for me. When you stop being so self-conscious and let the other side of you out. I bet you’re a fucking animal once you get going. I can’t wait for you to pound my ass hard. You’re so goddamned huge I know you’ll get my good spot every time, and with those huge arms wrapped around me, holding me, moving me back onto your dick with every thrust…
oh
yeah….”
“Ohh… Jus….”
“Mmhmm… get into it, go ahead. Come on,” Justin encouraged him, voice hitching between each word. “Come on… for me.”
His words flipped some kind of switch in Garrett’s brain or body or something and suddenly his hand was flying, stripping his cock so fast it was a blur. Every downstroke sent him higher and higher, until his legs were shaking, his eyes were squeezed shut, and his grip on the phone was so hard he actually spared a moment to worry that he might break it. He was never this loud when he was alone, but he couldn’t stop moaning, every sound echoed back by Justin, which just made it better and better.
“Holy
shit
, ohhh,” Justin groaned, coming, and Garrett could see it in his mind, Justin’s hand on his cock, milky fluid splattering all over his gorgeous body.
Garrett gasped, his entire body clenching, toes curling, and the phone actually did make a creaking noise when his When Work Is a Pleasure |

hand clenched around it as he came and came and came in long, wrenching pulses that left him feeling like he’d ejaculated out his entire brain.
Slowly, somewhat painfully, Garrett uncurled, unclenched, and generally let his body collapse back into the embrace of his office chair while his heart rate returned to something approaching normal.
A small noise came from the floor.
Sighing, Garrett opened his eyes and reached over to find that he’d dropped the phone at some point. “Oops,” he said, still breathing heavily. “Sorry, dunno when I dropped you,” he mumbled into the receiver.
Justin chuckled, sounding equally wiped out. “S’all right. Was it good for you?” he joked.
“So good I think you might just kill me in person,”
Garrett agreed.
“I’ll try my best not to. After all, it’s not a good idea to fuck someone to death before you learn where to hide the bodies. Maybe after I’ve been in town a while….”
“Jerk.”
“Dork.”
“G’night, Justin.”
“Good night, Garrett. Sleep well.”
He definitely would, Garrett thought, reaching for some tissues to clean up. Not as good as he would with Justin curled around him in bed, but pretty damn good anyway.

THE week seemed inordinately long, despite being good. Jeff called Garrett into his office and closed the door, which nearly gave Garrett a heart attack, but it turned out that Jeff wanted to offer him a promotion. One with a
raise
, even, which wasn’t always the case in journalism. By the time Garrett left the office he was the new assistant features manager. He’d have more opportunity to write and, best of all, could pawn off some of the fact-checking research onto the new intern they were going to hire.
Garrett was going to be someone’s boss. How awesome was that?
By the time Friday rolled around, Garrett had given up and was on his fifty-second game of solitaire when Ellen came up behind him and smacked him on the back of his head. “If you’re not going to work, go home.”
“Sorry. I’m just distracted,” he apologized, closing the game and opening his e-mail.
“Seriously, it’s after three o’clock, it’s Friday, and I’ll let you go home if you’ll tell me what’s got your knickers in a twist,” she offered with a naughty grin.
He stuck his tongue out at her. “Justin’s moving up this weekend. From L.A. I’m—” He toyed with “nervous
”
for a moment, before going with, “excited.”
Shaking her head, she sighed in a very put-upon way.
“Only you would end up with a boyfriend from an article on porn stars, Garrett. You’re like our very own golden child.”
He grinned, which made her roll her eyes again. “Go home.
Come back on Monday and either be productive or give me all the NC-17 details.”

With that threat ringing in his ears, Garrett fled the building. The bus ride home seemed to take forever, and he still had the evening to kill: Justin didn’t plan to arrive until that night. But at just after six, the buzzer to Garrett’s apartment sounded. “Yeah?” he asked, pressing the intercom.
“Handyman—I’m here to clean out your pipes.”
“Dork.” Garrett buzzed him up. “You’re early. And I thought you were going to call when you got in. I offered to help you move,” he said, giving Justin a quick kiss.
“Nah, I was good. Put Steve and Kris to work in exchange for buying them beer and pizza. I managed to shove the futon in my car and sold the rest of my crappy furniture to a friend. We were done in less than half an hour, and I wanted to come see you.”
“Don’t you want to break in the new bedroom?”
Justin wiggled his eyebrows. “Later. After I find out how soundproofed the walls are. Have you eaten yet? I want to take you out somewhere nice.” Garrett gave him a questioning look. “To celebrate.”
“Um, okay.”
Garrett eventually managed to get changed after several interruptions from Justin, who couldn’t seem to stay on the bed and just watch but kept coming over to “help” Garrett dress. After about ten minutes of Garrett’s shirt getting buttoned and unbuttoned, Justin’s hands sliding down both the back and front of Garrett’s pants to assist in tucking it in, rolling up the sleeves and sucking Garrett’s fingers, Garrett wasn’t even sure he

if it meant leaving the bedroom, if they were finally going to fuck.
“You’re such a tease,” he whined. “Either stop molesting me or fuck me right now.”
Justin only laughed. “Save it for dessert,” he suggested, and they headed out.
The restaurant Justin chose was a nice one with excellent food and great service. Garrett wasn’t entirely sure what the occasion was, if it was Justin’s relocation or something else, but he was happy to go along with it and made no objections whatsoever to the wine and desserts. It wasn’t until Justin grabbed the bill without letting Garrett even see it that he realized they were on a date, all formal and official.
“Hey. You didn’t have to do this,” he protested as Justin signed his name on the receipt, smiling.
“I know. I wanted to. Plus, now you have to put out,”
Justin teased.
“Such a hardship.” Garrett leaned over and gave Justin a quick kiss, pulling him out of the restaurant and down the street. They walked down the hill, opting out of getting on the Muni, since it was still early and the weather was nice.
“So what do you want to do now?” Garrett asked.
Justin squeezed his hand. “Be with you. Walk and talk.
You know,” he shrugged. Garrett gave him a somewhat puzzled look so he continued. “I want to date you.”
“Haven’t we been doing that?”
“Yeah, but….” Justin sighed. “I just landed a two-year contract with Hawk Studios. I’m just getting started. I know When Work Is a Pleasure |

this is crazy, and it’s going to be difficult with my job, if not impossible, but I want to be with you.”
Garrett couldn’t help grinning. “Me too.”
“I’m not going to quit,” Justin warned him. “And I can’t have too many rules or anything, or I’ll come across as too picky and I’ve already got a bunch of things on my refusal list. That’s why I ended up with Hawk in the first place. But,”
he took a deep breath, “but we could find something that’s special, just for us. And Tom and Mike make it work. I think we could too. If you want.” He stopped walking and turned to face Garrett at the street corner, waiting for his answer.
“I want,” Garrett said, his heart pounding in his throat.
“I don’t know how, and I’m not promising you forever, but I’d like to give it a try.”
Justin grinned. “That’ll do for a start.” He pressed Garrett back against the stop sign and kissed him breathless, right there on Folsom Street, lights sparkling all around them.
