I was counting tips and waiting to be paid by Jimbo. I made close to three hundred dollars today between the lunch crowd and the guys who dropped by in the afternoon.
And
it was a slow day!

Elena had told me Friday’s weren't great days to work but I took the days Jimbo had open. Adding in what Jimbo paid me, I made some good money.

V walking in had shocked me but I’d known he was going to find out one way or another. Maybe now that he caught me, he would make time to talk or scream at me. I wasn't sure how he would react.

Now I had to decide what to do. Go face V and his brothers or slip out the back?

This was such bullshit! I tossed the costumes in my bag, made sure my make up was perfect, and went over to get paid from the manager.

V had never told me I wasn't allowed to dance, just that he didn't want dirty old men to look at me. I would go head to head with him over this. I didn't tell him what to do. How
dare
he try to run
my life!

At least Thrash and Jersey were good tippers – I’d be damned if they were getting their tips back. Well, may as well face V now, in public; no time like the present.

V was pacing the parking lot as I walked toward him. All the brothers were looking and smiling at me except for V.

"Hi guys! How are you all?" I asked, all innocent like.

V stalked over and grabbed my arm, pulling me toward his bike.

"Hey, V! Let the fuck go! You’re hurting me," I cried.

V was so pissed off he didn't care.

"Don't you
dare
start a fight in public. We can go home and talk. Do you really need to do this in front of everyone? Let me drive my car home and we can talk about this later when we're alone," I hissed.

"Oh, Babe... you're in so much trouble after they leave. Where the fuck did you get a car from?" V was really mad.

"My daddy bought me a Volkswagen beetle and paid for the insurance. Look, it’s right there." I pointed to my new car.

V looked at the bright orange Volkswagen beetle in horror. "Bright orange?"

"Of course! It's my graduation present - it was supposed to be a truck, but I ended up with this. My dad thinks I'm the worst driver so he wanted to make sure that people could see me, I guess. At least it was free! Maybe I should leave now so I don't run into you guys. Give me a kiss," I demanded.

He looked stunned so I kissed him then hurried out of there.

V was still staring in shock so Kima just kissed him and hopped into her new car, zooming out of the parking lot.

Jersey broke the ice, "Wow, that one is full of surprises, isn't she?"

V just shook his head.

Everyone laughed as Nailz commented, "Least she warned us to stay far behind her. Hunter calls her Trouble and now you know why."

V was still muttering how sorry Kima was going to be as they got on their bikes.

Oddly it was Thrash who stuck up for Kima, "V, give the chick a break. She's young, she always said she was going to dance. You knew she was a gonna be a handful."

V looked at his older brother with a hard, dark stare.

Thrash decided to be nicer to Kima because any woman that could get under V's skin like this was truly amazing.

Damn V,
I thought! I didn't even want to go home but I didn't know where else to go, either.

I knew that the guys would expect to be fed. So I thought getting some extra large pizzas for them would be a good idea. Beer and pizza might cool his ass down.

I picked them up and took the road back into the Lodge slowly so the pizzas wouldn't tip. Driving up to the cabin, I found V standing outside, waiting for me. At least he didn't look quite as angry as he had been.

I opened my door. "V, can you grab the pizzas please?"

V looked me up and down. "Kima, you’re still on my shit list."

I looked at him and shot back, "Yeah, well...when am I not on somebody's shit list? You think that's news to me? Let's feed the guys and then you can scream at me. But V, I will dance. I have nothing else to do."

I slammed my door shut and I walked over to the guys.

"Hey, did you like Brandy? I know I’m new at dancing but at least I’m making my own money."

The guys, I think, didn't know what to say or where to look.

"Brandy dances fine, Kima. Did she send us the beer and pizza?" Nailz asked, laughing.

I happily replied, "You bet she did."

I decided I missed Jo and wanted her to come by. I ran up to the Lodge payphone to call her.

She answered after a few rings.

"Hey Jo! Just wanted to see if you want to come over for beer and pizza?"

Jo replied, "That sounds great! Thanks, Kima. I was just sitting here bored and wondering what I was going to do about dinner."

I wanted to let her know Nailz was going to be there, too, so I causally dropped it into our conversation.

"That's great! I never get to see you as much now that I am dancing. I grabbed a couple of pizzas to feed the guys. Nailz, Jersey, and Thrash are here by the way. The boys are hungry so I thought I'd feed them. V and I are fighting so it’d be great if you'd come by and save me. He caught me dancing."

"I knew dancing was a bad idea but I won't say I told you so. Oh... Nailz is there? Well, I guess I can put up that moron for a couple hours. I’ll be right there!"

I laughed, knowing Jo was probably very pleased Nailz was here. I bet she’d show up with full make-up on and decked out in her tightest clothes. I knew she liked him a whole lot more than she was letting on.

Smiling to myself, I walked back to the cabin.

When I got there I saw Hunter telling V he had a message to call someone right away. They both left looking serious and I decided we needed to get a phone for ourselves as soon as possible. We needed it for important calls and it sucked walking back and forth to the Lodge. Plus I had to keep all my change for the phone in a jar.

Thrash sat down next to me. "Kima, don't let my brother stop you from dancing. He’s really jealous, but you need to do what makes you happy. Just be smart and stay down here and dance. Tell V you won't go up by Ocean Cove or North Jersey. The club isn't in this area so you’re pretty safe as long as you stay away from bikers."

I could have hugged Thrash but Jo pulled up and hurried over to us.

Both Nailz and Jersey stood up to greet her.

"What the hell is up with those two and your friend?" Thrash asked.

"I don't have any idea," I responded, pushing my hair back.

And I really didn't.

Everyone had a great time but me - I was too busy waiting for V to have it out with me.

I wished Jo was staying in the loft but she decided to go bar hopping with Thrash, Jersey, and Nailz.

As I’d predicted, she had come dressed to the nines and even had her biker boots on, the ones from the night of the fight. She’d taken extra care with her make-up and, knowing Jo, she had probably gone over the speed limit, racing to get here.

Hunter had a cabin open and the guys planned to crash there. The whole Lodge was reserved for Thorn's party. I suppose I was happy she was getting out and not under her parent's thumb as much. She said she told them she was staying with me.

The Parker's knew I moved out, but I doubted they knew I was living in sin with a hardcore, one percent biker.

My family was trying hard to keep up appearances. Who knows how they explained where I was. I made sure to stay out of Beach View. So far, I didn't think they knew I was dancing. Damn. I hoped my dad didn't ever come into the Drop Inn. I think he’d have a heart attack on the spot. Thrash was right - I should dance more in southern New Jersey. I made a mental note to ask Elena about gogo bars down there. Elena danced in Delaware and Maryland sometimes and maybe I could go with her. I was sure there were plenty of gogo bars I didn't even know of.

V wasn't winning this. I loved him, but I also knew I needed to support myself.

There was a very good chance he could cheat on me and, if he did, we were done. Or he could be killed, which I hated to think about.

I didn't believe the club was a family and I would be taken care of. I had seen enough to figure out some brother would just ask me to be his old lady and I wasn't interested.
Fuck supporting some lazy biker!

I liked some of the men but not all of them - many of them scared the shit out of me. Others just seemed to live off of women. There was a variety of women that did a whole lot of different things and the men seemed fine with letting women support them.

Since my fight, I got along with the old ladies somewhat and the sluts were scared of me. I had worn a necklace with a fake eyeball hanging off of it the last time we’d gone to the club. It was really a glass eye Hunter made into a necklace for me which Elena and I had planned out.

I still hadn't seen Pam or that skank, Roxy, but the other sluts got my message. Learning Elena's strut was a very good thing  too. It gave the impression I was confident and fearless.

If I was the VP's old lady, then I was going to get the respect I deserved. When I was there I strutted around that clubhouse like I owned it. Flop, who was president, didn't have an old lady, so I figured I had the upper hand as of now. When he got back, that would probably change.

I’d heard quite a bit about Flop and I already I disliked him.

Not that V had told me shit. The other old ladies had filled my ears about the president and were scared of him. They were also afraid of this other guy named Rabid. I pretended I knew what the hell they were talking about but, in reality, I didn't have a clue. Quite frankly, I didn't care.

I loved the brothers V was close to and they were becoming my friends. The same went for Hunter and his brothers. And, of course, there was Thorn.

He was coming back this weekend and I couldn't wait to see him. That was another reason Hunter had given the cabin to the guys. It was his big party.

I was so tired of waiting up to talk to V. He was still talking to Hunter and he hadn't come back to the cabin.

Screw this! I was laying my head down and going to sleep.

I woke to V shaking me awake.

Damn it!

He started to shout, "Kima. KIMA! Wake up! Did you think I'd forget about today?"

"Leave me alone, V! You had hours to talk to me and I’m tired," I replied sleepily and started to drift off again.

He pinched my nipple hard and I woke up, pissed off.

"Well, go ahead. I'm awake now!" I snapped.

V looked at me, his eyes hard. "I said no dancing, didn't I?"

I tossed back, "No! You asked why I’d want dirty old men looking at me. You never wanted to talk to me about dancing, Veiko!"

"I don't want any of those scumbags looking at my old lady when she’s almost naked, Kima!" he retorted angrily.

He was unreal! I wore less swimming.

"Fine, V... you don't want me to dance? I’ll stop taking the pill and we can have a baby because I refuse to sit and do nothing all day while you work and do whatever it is you do when you aren't here!"

I was pouting now. I don't know where that came from but things tended to slip from my lips without me thinking.

"You want a baby, Kima? Don't you think you need to grow up more first?"

How dare he!

"Yup! I want a baby and twins run in my family. So I hope we have twins. If you won't let me grow up, then I may as well have babies to play with!"

I turned my back to him. Screw Veiko Finn! I fell right back to sleep.
