She moaned. “You really, truly, are going to leave me without undergarments?”

“Yep. I love knowing your pussy is bare and seeing your nipples under your shirts.” Jaden twisted toward her. “If we’re out in public, you can always wear one of those shirts with the built-in bra thingy. At the cabin, why bother?”

It wasn’t as though she needed the support. Her A-cup boobs weren’t exactly saggy, but she still flushed to think of being underdressed in a restaurant, her pussy rubbing against the denim shorts.

She didn’t look up as she wiggled her way into a pair and lifted her ass to zip and button them. They were short, low in the waist, and high in the ass. Of course. Thank God she was tiny.

Glancing left and right, she scooted down in the seat and whipped off the guys’ T-shirt to pull a bright red, tight-fitting shirt over her head. Seconds later, she sat up, relieved to be semi-dressed and presentable. She tugged on the hem of the shirt and shook her head. Not quite as large as she would have chosen, but what had she expected?

No matter what she did, her nipples puckered. They would be that way every time she was with Jaden and Liam, or thought of them, or breathed.

And she breathed often.

“Let’s drop off this laundry and then grab lunch.” Jaden twisted in the seat and started the car. He watched Emma through the mirror as though she would disappear if he let his eyes trail away.

They’d been a little stressed about leaving her alone in the car to go into the store. And she’d felt bad for causing them such distress, but really, where was she going to go dressed in nothing but a T-shirt that barely covered her ass? It wasn’t as though she could shift into wolf form and run through the parking lot.

People tended to scream when that happened.

It took only minutes to stop at a laundry mat that would do the job for them, and then they were parking in front of a quaint diner. It was two in the afternoon. No other customers were inside, and Emma breathed a sigh of relief when they entered.

An older woman approached. “Three for lunch?” she asked.

Jaden and Liam nodded. Emma hid behind them, shaking at being seen in public. It was amazing how much more alert and concerned she was since the incident at the coffee shop. She hadn’t shown her face in public in weeks, and she feared doing so now, as irrational as that was.

They settled into a back corner, Emma squeezing into the booth first, Jaden next to her, Liam across. She could see the entire room and the front door from there, and she relaxed.
Stop it. No one knows you’re here.

The waitress brought them all waters and then took their order.

Jaden grasped her hand under the table. “Are you okay?”

“Fine,” she lied. She even shook her head in disagreement with herself.

Liam frowned. “You don’t seem fine.” He glanced around. “No one is here but the waitress. I think you’re safe. And you know we wouldn’t let anything happen to you.” He grinned. “In fact, we should be offended you are so distrusting of our abilities to protect what’s ours.” He puffed up his chest. She realized he was just trying to lighten the mood, but it didn’t keep her from glancing around nervously.

The hair on the back of her neck stood on end. Something just didn’t feel right. Call it wolf’s intuition or whatever you want. Didn’t the men feel it too?

She stared hard at both their faces in turn as the waitress returned with their drinks. If she said anything, Emma didn’t hear it.

Jaden and Liam looked too relaxed, as though they were forcing themselves.

She didn’t want to voice her concerns with an irrational fear that saying anything out loud would make it come true.

“So, you’re going to help us with the plants, huh?” Liam asked.

She nodded. Her lips wouldn’t move.

“Have you ever studied plants?” Jaden asked. Filler questions, intended to make conversation.

She shook her head.

Their food arrived, and she struggled to swallow it. What the hell was her problem?

The front door opened, and she jumped in her seat. Now she wasn’t being irrational. The man staring across the room at her was none other than the same dark-skinned, tall, black-haired man who’d come to the coffee shop with her photos.

He smiled and walked toward her. Smiled? Was that the face of a hired killer?

Jaden stood and blocked her view. “Who are you?” he asked the stranger.

“Name’s Gerald Kingsley. I’m a private investigator. I mean you no harm.”

Emma peeked around Jaden’s huge body.

“Emma? Emma Bennett?” he asked.

She didn’t move.

He grinned. “You’re a hard woman to locate. I’ve spent months trailing you. Your aunt and uncle were about to have a conniption.”

“My aunt and uncle?” What the hell? Why would they send a man to look for her?

“What do you want with Emma?” Liam asked.

Mr. Kingsley’s brow furrowed as he grew serious. “Her uncle hired me to find her.” He stepped to one side to get more in line with Emma’s vision. “He wanted you to have this.” He held out an envelope and slid it across the table. “You can read it at your leisure, but I’ll tell you what it says. Whoever hunted your parents down and killed them has been caught. Well, caught isn’t quite accurate. Those men are dead. The details are in the letter. Your family wanted you to know so you could stop worrying, running, hiding. And you can finally go home.”

Emma reached forward with shaky fingers and took the envelope.

Kingsley continued. “I thought I’d finally found you at that coffee shop in Kentucky, but you took off.”

“I assumed you were my parents’ killer, there to finish the job when I saw you passing around my picture,” Emma muttered, gripping the letter with her hands as though it were a lifeline.

Kingsley nodded. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize you were living in such fear. When your foster parents were unaware of your exact whereabouts, your uncle called me, but nobody realized you were on the run.” He stepped back. “Well, I’ll leave you to read the letter. Good luck to you. I’m exhausted. I think I’ll go back to the hotel and crash.” He chuckled as he turned to leave.

“Wait,” Jaden said, “how did you find her?”

He turned back to Emma. “Well, I figured you went downriver after your trail went cold. That was easy. So I dropped off missing person flyers at every town south of where you went in the water. It was a coincidence that I happened to be here in this town now and just gave the owner your picture today. The waitress recognized you and called me at the hotel. Another day and I’d have moved on.”

No wonder her hackles had been raised. The waitress had been calling Mr. Kingsley as they sat there eating.

Jaden was still perplexed. “You tracked her? How? You’re—” He stopped himself, though they all three knew what he’d been about to say.

“Human?” Kingsley stated. “Yeah, but I have people working for me who are not.” He lowered his voice before continuing. “I had
help
that day at the coffee shop. They weren’t fast enough to keep up with you, but we managed eventually.” He swept a hand her way with a grin, and then he left.

Jaden slumped down into his seat, appearing as relieved and fatigued as Emma felt. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and drew her close to his side.

She relaxed against him for the first time in years. Not only was she free from discovery, but she had two big shifter men to spend the rest of her life with. The running could stop here.

Chapter 11

“What is
that
?” Emma backed up against the wall of the cabin. It suddenly seemed smaller than it had earlier that day. Ever since they’d returned, hustling about putting things away, she’d been aware of both men as though they filled the entire space with their pheromones.

Finally, she could enjoy them without fear. She didn’t have to look over her shoulder and wonder if someone was going to fly through the door and shoot her—and them.

It was hard to let go of old habits, and she had to remind herself she was safe over and over again each time she jumped at a noise.

Liam stalked toward her. “Remember that bag of toys we mentioned?”

Jaden joined him, grasping at the item swinging from Liam’s fingers. “Now’s a good time to put some of them to use. Are you game?”

She stared at the black fabric in Jaden’s hand and swallowed. “I’m not sure. Will it hurt?”

“This?” Jaden asked. He chuckled. “I’ve never hurt anyone with a blindfold.”

“Ha ha. That’s not what I mean, and you know it.” She crossed her arms, partially to make a defensive stance and partially to cover her hardened nipples. After all, she wore nothing but a tight tank top. Her small breasts were framed beneath the material and had seemed to make both men drool throughout the day. Every time she glanced down, she saw her nipples pointing out and puckering the cotton.

Liam took her hands in his and pulled her arms down. “Emma, we would never ever hurt you in any way. Anything we do with our bag of tricks will be for your pleasure and ours. I swear to you, we would never leave a mark on your gorgeous body or cause you any pain. Trust us?”

She nodded. She did trust them. With her life. She glanced at the handcuffs on the bed. “You know I’m not a flight risk anymore. I swear. You don’t have to strap me down to keep me in your bed.”

“We know,” Jaden stated. “But we’re still going to strap you down for purely sexual reasons. You get so fucking aroused when you’re restrained, and that makes both of us harder.”

“Will you release me after?”

“Will you promise not to run?” Liam joked.

“Never. I’m…” She hesitated.

“What?” Jaden prompted.

She lifted her chin and looked them in the eye. “I’m in love with you two oafs.”

Liam grinned. “Good, ’cause I’m in love with you too.” He turned to Jaden and took his hand. Emma had the feeling he was about to profess something he’d never said before to Jaden. In fact, his fingers shook. “I love you too, Jade. I have for a long time.”

Jaden swallowed and opened his mouth. Seconds ticked by. You could have heard a leaf fall. “I love you too, Liam. Always have. I suck at saying it, and I’ll work on that, but know that I do love you. And you, Emma. I love the hell out of both of you.” Jaden grabbed them both and pulled them into a group hug.

Before Emma knew what was happening, Jaden had pulled her shirt over her head and Liam was tying the blindfold behind her, blocking out the room.

Her arousal shot sky-high instantly.

Liam rubbed her cheek. “I bet it’s been a long time since you’ve let all your defenses down and just felt…everything.”

She’d never. Not once in her life.

Jaden took her hand and led her across the room blind. “Tonight we’re going to change that. Your job is to relax and feel. Without your eyes, you’ll have to give us your trust. We’ll protect you, always. And, in the meantime, we’ll make you come like you’ve never imagined. Over and over.”

She bit her lower lip as her knees hit the edge of the bed.

Soft noises ensued, made louder by the silence and the anticipation. A snap. A zip. A rip.

She shook, and her pussy wept against the tight denim of her shorts, but as Liam and Jaden laid her down and stretched her out on the bed, she relaxed into their touch. It was going to be a long night. And she was going to love every minute of it.
