am so excited
; I am ready to burst. Last night was just amazing. The awards ceremony turned into an engagement party after everything settled down and the girls went home for the night. I was so happy to get the chance to thank them for their words and being a part of the proposal.

I am still in shock. Half of the people in the room were aware that I was going to be proposed to last night. I can’t believe I didn’t have a clue.

Ettie and my mother pounced to start planning the wedding, but Nick already had that covered as well. Ettie, Kimmie, my mother and I will all be leaving for Jamaica this morning, where I get to plan our wedding that will take place in two weeks.

That was the reason for his weird question about where I would want to go if I could go anywhere. I keep thinking that there is no way that I could love Nick any more than I already do, but he keeps proving me wrong.

That is why I have planned my own surprise. I am going to be miserable without Nick for two whole weeks. The last time we were apart, it didn’t end well, so I want to make sure things end on a great note.

Nick is usually up before me. He gets up early for his morning workout. Not this morning, however. I set a silent alarm before going to bed last night and placed my phone in my pillow case, knowing the light would wake me as I am not much of a heavy sleeper when it comes to light.

Now I just need to slip out from under Nick’s sleeping body and get into the bathroom. I give him a slight nudge, but he only tightens his hold. I inhale deeply before trying to wiggle free. Thankfully, Nick rolls onto his back, but he doesn’t wake. His morning wood however, does tent the sheet that is draped loosely and low on his waist.

I bounce over into the closet and pull out the lace cat suit I had planned to save for a special occasion. This seems like one now.

I slip into it quietly and then head for the ankle boots I ordered online a few weeks ago. They are blue suede four inch heels that I know Nick will more than appreciate. After I pull all the stuffing out of the new shoes I slip them onto my feet.

I take one look in the mirror and I love what I see. I look sexy and confident. I am proud of the woman staring back at me. Her sister and best friend had nothing to do with this outfit and they darn sure don’t have anything to do with what she plans to do to her man in it. I did this myself.

I saunter my way back into the bedroom. I’m a little annoyed when I see Nick is awake. That was not part of my plan. I actually stop in my tracks as he pushes up slightly on his elbows. A slow sexy smile takes over his lips and I can’t help but to smile in return.

I spring into action before my plans can be derailed any further. Nick lifts a brow as his eyes roam lazily over my body. I sway my hips sensually as I make my way over to the bed.

in a deep sleep when my phone rings, tugging at my subconscious. In my head I am cursing the fucking thing. This is the first night I have gotten a real good night’s sleep since Sephora left for Jamaica.

I don’t know if it is because I am on my way to Jamaica in the morning or if it is because I talked to Sephora right before I went to bed. I loved hearing the excitement in her voice. She has been emailing and texting me with wedding plans and decisions she wanted me to weigh in on.

Honestly, I am happy with whatever makes her happy. That is why I have spared no expense for our wedding. The sky is the limit where Sephora is concerned.

She is so adorable. The gown she wanted was twice what her mother had given her for a budget. Instead of telling her mother what she really wanted, she was going to settle for a cheaper version of the same dress until Kimmie and Ettie called me to snitch on her.

I called her to ask about it and she made a case for why it wasn’t a big deal. She tried to convince me that the cheaper dress was fine. It wasn’t Sephora will never have to settle for anything.

I had Luke fly down with the right dress and a seamstress to make it perfect for her. Luke was driving me to drink anyhow. He needed to be there with Kimmie before I strangled him. I still don’t get these two. Faraz is going to kill Lucian and I want a front row seat.

Everything is just about set for our wedding. I just need to get there for the festivities to start. In two days we will be married. Time has seemed like it is moving too quickly, yet not fast enough.

However, right now I want that fucking phone to stop ringing so I can get some real sleep before I get my woman back in my arms. As I come awake, I punch the pillow under my head in frustration. When the ringing stops and starts again, my heart stops.

Realization sets into my awaking mind that something could be wrong with Sephora. I roll instantly and reach for my phone. I answer without even looking at the caller ID.

“Hello,” my voice comes out husky from sleep.

“Tell her to back the fuck off,” my whole body stiffens as I recognize the voice from so many years ago.

“Who is this,” I growl into the phone.

“That is not important yet. Just tell your little girlfriend to back off,” the voice replies. Something is so familiar this time around.

I rake my sleep fogged brain trying to place the voice. I get more pissed off with each passing second. I push aside that fact that I recognize the voice and focus on the message he is trying to give me.

“My girlfriend, what are you talking about,” I snap.

“Tell baby Emilsson to stop digging. She stops or she is next. I left a warning in your office. Now I am telling you directly. Tell her to back the fuck off or she will be through a windshield,” he snarls clearly losing his patience.

“You, motherfucker, when I find you I am going to gut you like a fish. You want to see FLI go down, be my fucking guess, but you fucked up when you threatened my woman. Now you be warned. I. AM. COMING. FOR. YOU,” Without another word I cut the call. I’ve had enough of this shit.

I dial the only number important to me right now. “We leave now,” I hiss into the phone as soon as I hear the line open. The sigh on the other end tells me that my message is received and I hang up.
