About the Author

Kendra Leigh fell in love with books and the wonderful world of reading from a very young age. She was captivated when Enid Blyton whisked her away to the magical lands at the top of the Faraway Tree with Moon-face and the rest of the gang. Books helped her escape the turbulence of troubled times and were a constant source of comfort during the course of a devastating illness. Kendra's awareness of how reading helped her cope with her illness - and the part it played in her recovery - inspired her to write. She believes that if her books offer only one person a diversion from the life-load they carry – a chance to escape into another world and a chance to breathe – then it will all be worth it.
