Irish term for a substantial fortified hilltop settlement or hillfort of the 1st millennium

, often reflected in the name of the site. The most famous example is Cashel, Co. Tipperary, home to the Eoghanacht dynasties of the 4th and 5th centuries

South American cultural grouping found in the Rio Ucayali area of Amazonia in the period

ad 500–700. Defined by its ceramics which belong to the Polychrome Horizon of painted wares. Vessels include lidded urns, large plates, and anthropomorphic burial urns.
Casper, Wyoming, USA

Bison kill site dating to about 6000 bc. Plano hunters stampeded a herd of about 100 bison and trapped them in a steep-sided U-shaped arrangement of sand dunes from which they were unable to escape. Once trapped in this way, the hunters dispatched the beasts using spears.
