tombs in the west of Britain. Starting from the front of the chamber each pair of orthostats overlaps with the pair in front on the outside.
Imhotep

Egyptian god, chief minister of Djoser of the 3rd Dynasty. Architect of the Step Pyramid at Sakkara, and later deified and worshipped as a god of medicine. He is shown as a man holding a roll of papyrus. Equated by the Greeks with Asklepios and Imouthes.
