“I think you might be protesting a little bit too much, Chance, because we both know that it wasn’t me or my clan.” They were looking at each other, and each one wanted to take a piece out of the other, but were holding back because they were in a public place and they didn’t want to alert others to what they were. “I think that we should allow the lady to choose for herself, and wouldn’t you agree that would be the more sensible route to go?” he was using the treaty against him, making sure to throw back in his face everything that was written down during that momentous day in the woods.

“Only you, Tanner, would bring that up, and I guess it goes without saying that you probably memorize
d the entire thing. I think that’s the only reason why Casper took you into the fold, because you had this eidetic memory that you can call upon whenever you want.” Julia was confused, watching these two young men go after each other with verbal barbs, and not understanding anything that they were saying.

Putting he
r hands on both of their chests, she looked back from each one, seeing them as potential paramours with the same feeling that she felt for one coming forth to feel the same thing for the other. “Boys…I have to say that I’m flattered, and for both of you to be fighting over little old me is a little bit more than I can take. I think it’s only fair that both of you get a chance to say what’s on your mind.” Julia thought for sure that they had sensed her new self and was now drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Maybe this was another one of the side effects that she had yet to enjoy.

“It’s not gonna happen, and neither one of us is going to be able to let the other speak. I don’t see any way around that, unless of course, Chance wants to go a few rounds and see who comes out on top. We both know that I can take you, or have you forgotten about Halloween night?”

“I haven’t forgotten anything, and we both know that you cheated to win. How coincidental was it that I had snared myself in a bear trap, when you were the one that was eating my dust the entire time. I think that you purposely set that up, and even though I don’t have any proof, I can see in your face that it’s true. You couldn’t win fairly, so you did the next best thing and made sure that I would lose. Don’t think for a second that your little tricks are going to garner you any favors with the lady in question. I have this feeling that she is going to have a good bullshit detector, and I can imagine that it’s going haywire right now inside her head.”

“We are never going to get to the bottom of this, unless we can decide on who goes first.” Tanner was
at his wits end, and had he got here a little bit sooner, he might’ve been able to sway the young lady to his side of the fence.

“Look, it’s clear to me that both of you have something to say, so I think it’s going to be up to me decide which one is going to go first. Being fair, we will play rock paper scissors, and whoever wins will be able to say what’s on their mind.

“That’s a child’s game, but yet I don’t see any other way to get past the stalemate. Fine…if Tanner is in agreement, and I don’t see any reason not to just get this over with.” Tanner wasn’t happy about this at all, but it look like he was outnumbered by 2 to 1. Nodding his agreement, they began the foolish game, finding that they were well matched and continually found themselves putting up the same thing. Two rocks, Two papers, two scissors. It was just a matter of time before one of them was going to come up on top, and it finally turned out to be Chance who had made the decision to change his mind at the last second. Instead of putting up scissors, he had changed it up to rock, essentially crushing Tanner;s chance at winning.

“No…it’s not fair... I won’t stand for this.”

“Seems like Tanner is a sore loser, and I think that you should take that into account.” Chance was directing his comment to Julia, who was now motioning for both of them to sit down at the bench.” Introductions were made, and Julia found the names of Chance and Tanner to be a little unusual, but it kind of fitted who they were. They were both different, yet there was something familiar about them that she just couldn’t put her finger on. It was agreed upon that both of them would be there, even though Julia still had no earthly idea of what they were talking about.

“So, go ahead, what are you waiting for an engraved invitation? Maybe you are second guessing about going first, because this isn’t how we normally do things.”

“Julia, I don’t know how to say this, but maybe I don’t have to.” Chance took her hand, held it tightly and looked into her eyes, only to find that the exchange of thoughts were blocked by some unknown force. “I have never experienced anything like that before, and I didn’t even know it was possible for that to happen.” Tanner took it upon himself, taking her hand away from Chance, looking into Julia’s eyes and thinking that he was going to have better luck. Unfortunately, he had to look away, as he had felt the same thing that chance had and so much more.

“That’s a first for me too, and I sense that this young lady is a little bit different than we suspect.” Tanner still couldn’t bring himself
to look her in the eye, and he was still feeling the cold shiver run down his spine.

“Okay, so it looks like we’re going to have to do this the hard way. Julia, you must have felt
that you were different, and I’m sure that there was something that happened not so long ago. Might it be that you were attacked, and left for dead, only to come out of it with these new senses that took you by surprise?” Julia looked to both of them, not believing for one second that they could have any real knowledge of what she was going through. “You feel like you are stronger, faster, and you have this deep need to run into the woods. We have both gone through the same thing, or how would we know that that was what you were feeling? This is going to be the hardest part to understand, and I wish that we had longer to beat around the bush, but I’m afraid that time is of the essence.

Tanner spoke
“I’m leaving…but I want you to really consider coming over to my side, Julia. Don’t worry, I won’t be far away, and I will know when you’re ready to make your decision. This is something that you’re going to have to decide for yourself, but I can tell you that I am the one that has the ability to show you what you are and what you can be. This is just a small step in your development, and hopefully you will do the right thing. Either way, I’m glad that we could meet, although I regret the fact that I didn’t meet you first.” Tanner walked away, not wanting to, but feeling a little out of sorts by what he felt looking into her eyes.

“I thought that he would never leave, and maybe now
we can have a frank discussion,” said Chance. You had to know that this new power had to come with a harsh reality, because I really don’t take you as naïve or stupid. You are a Lycanthrope, and I’m not sure if you fully understand what that means. Tonight is a full Moon, and you will no doubt have your first change. You will need somebody to guide you, and I am taking it upon myself to train you in our ways. The first thing I need to know is if you know who did this to you.” Chance could see that she was shocked, dismayed, or maybe she just didn’t believe a single word that he said.

“I don’t know what to say, but I think you have had too many drinks this morning. Either that, or you were hit in the head too many times. I don’t know which one it is, and I really h
ave no desire to find out. What you’re saying is crazy, and what I’m going through is because of some kind of drug that the hospital gave me. I’m sure that it will wear off in time, and then I will be going back to who I once was.

There was something about the term Lycanthrope that gave her
a moment of pause. “I don’t think I have imparted on you the seriousness of this, and all I can tell you is that Tanner and his Clan are going to have to answer for this. In the meantime, you’re just going to have to accept what you are, because there is no going back.” He hadn’t said the one word that would seal the deal, and he was reluctant to make her see him as nothing but a crackpot. “I would really like to get to know you better, and maybe after classes you can come over to my place and have a cup of coffee. I might be better prepared at that time, and I’m thinking that I’m going to need some kind of visual aids to show you the full scope of what you are going through.” They agreed to meet after classes, going their separate ways with Julia having more questions and answers.

All she really wanted to know was what they were fighting over, and maybe find some kind of peace of mind about these newfound powers. Chance was what she would call a tall dark handsome man, and she kind of felt like she knew him and Tanner better than she knew herself.

Over the next couple of hours, she just couldn’t get them off of her mind, and she really wanted to rip their clothes off. She could envision herself using her teeth to tear into the fabric, while straddling one of their waists, grabbing onto their hard cock and using it for her own pleasure.

Lost in thought and fantasies, she was in the process of going to her last class, when she bumped into Tanner.

“If I am a betting man, I would say that Chance chickened out at the last minute. He probably thought that you couldn’t handle it, and you’re still as much in the dark as you were before. Unless of course you are afraid and if that’s the case then you are not the woman that I think you are.” His arrogance appalled her, making her shy away from him, only to have his hand grab onto hers. “You can’t hide it from me, and I know that you want me as much as I want you. Give in to those impulses, and you will see a whole world come to life in front of your eyes. You will live like nobody else, doing things that nobody else can do, and having the power of the beast in the palm of your hand. Tell me that you don’t want that, and I will leave you in peace and never return.”

“God help me…but I do want that.” His dazzling white teeth
were followed by him grabbing her and pulling her outside to a very daunting and pure black motorcycle. He motioned for her to get on, but not seeing a helmet made her a little bit weary. He laughed out loud, lifting her easily onto the back of the motorcycle, before getting in the front and grabbing her hands and putting them around his waist.

He peeled out of there in a hurry,
looking back to make sure that Chance hadn’t seen his double cross, and was right now about to intervene on her behalf. He had to smile seeing that he had gotten one over on him, and the fact that he was unwilling to admit to changing her was something of a surprise to Tanner.

Speeding along traffic, the speedometer was almost at the ve
ry top, and he could feel Julia’s hands digging into the sides of his waist. She was holding on for dear life, and he loved putting her through hell, making her adrenaline push to the maximum, and consciously awakening the sexual side of her beast. This was after all his way of doing things, and after physically joining with a new recruit, it was virtually impossible for that recruit to turn down his request. They would be forever enamored with him, following him around like a lost puppy, never quite having the control over their powers that they would hope they have.

He drove t
hem to the top of the city, parking and putting his hand back to graze her cheek with his fingertips. “All you have to do is tell me to stop, and we will go no further than this.” Her mouth came forward and they began to lightly kiss, with his head to the side and his tongue playfully playing over her lips. She grabbed onto with her teeth, pulling it into her mouth and twisting her tongue around it. There was this heat between them that she couldn’t deny and he turned around to face her with his genitalia not more than a few inches from her own. “I won’t do anything that you don’t want me to do.” His fingers suddenly showed longer fingernails and she remembered, gripping her blouse and ripping it open with the buttons flying in all directions. The sharpness of his fingernails sliced through the middle of her bra, cutting it in half and making her shrug it over her shoulders in self defeat. Julia had never felt this way before, never having this raw animal hunger that consumed her every thought.

“You won’t be able
to make me do anything, and right now I want to see that nice hard cock of yours.” The way that she said it made him almost regret what he was doing, as there was something about her that went beyond the true wolf inside. She was biting her lip, pulling at his belt and using it to slap it across his face two times in succession. The blow took them
