“Denise, why you keep doing this shit to me? Why you keep fucking me over? All I'm trying to do is love you!” Rhonda cried.
“I'm sorry.”
“No, sorry isn't enough. You are supposed to be with me! We are supposed to be together.”
Denise saw the strange look in Rhonda's eyes. She finally saw what everyone else did. Rhonda looked unstable. “Rhonda, please, look, I would like to be friends.”
All of a sudden Rhonda looked up and smiled. “Yeah, Denise, friends.”
Denise didn't know what to think of the sudden mood change. “You OK with that?”
“Yeah, I'm gonna go.” Rhonda smiled and walked off.
Michelle walked up to Denise. They both looked in amazement.
“I told you that girl was crazy,” Michelle said.
Denise finally agreed.

“Hey, girl.” Cooley hugged Misha as she walked in her dorm room.
“Cooley,” Misha said.
Suddenly she realized why she was there. Cooley dropped a bag of gifts on her bed. “These are for you. How was your Christmas?”
“It was fine. Um, Cool, I can't accept—”
“You are too fucking hard to catch up with. I've been by here a couple of times before class started and couldn't get you. Did I tell you that I missed you like crazy, girl?”
“Yeah, well, I actually went to Nashville for a couple of days. Cool—”
“I got you some things I know you're gonna love, especially that bag from Gucci.”
“Carla.” Misha attempted to talk, but Cooley grabbed her and planted her lips against hers. Misha felt her knees getting weak. She pulled away. “Cooley, look I need to tell you that I don't think it's a good idea for us to hook up.”
“What?”
“I changed my mind. It would be a bad idea and I would like it if you left.”
Cooley stood frozen in her spot, trying to grasp what Misha was saying. “Mish—”
“Cooley, please just leave.”
“Naw, man, what the fuck is going on? What the hell happ—”
“Carla, I don't want you! I don't want to be with you! Now leave!” Misha stormed over to the door and held it open.
Cooley was stunned. She looked at Misha. Her facial expression didn't change. Cooley walked up to the door. “Fine, I'm out.” She threw her hands up and walked out the door.
Misha held back tears. Before she could get the door closed, Cooley pushed it open.
“No, fuck that! Misha, what the fuck is wrong with you, huh? We made plans. You think you just gon' keep fucking me over like this? This shit isn't funny!”
“Cooley, I—”
“No, you listen! What the fuck happened to make you change yo' mind, Misha?”
Misha didn't respond.
Cooley's heart dropped. “You know what, fuck this shit! I can't believe I actually believed you were gonna change. You're worse than me!”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” Misha said, offended by the comment.
“It means that at least I'm fuckin' honest. You knew everything I was up to. I told you who I was fuckin' wit. You are worse than half of these scandalous bitches around here.”
“Carla, it's not even like that.”
“Whatever, Misha. You know what, if you tell me to roll this time, don't fuckin' come back when you change your mind again. So, what's up?” Cooley looked at Misha.
Misha looked at the ground, unable to respond.
“You know what, fuck this.” Cooley headed toward the door.
“Cooley!” Misha yelled. “Carl—”
“Fuck you, Misha! Stay the fuck away from me!” Cooley slammed the door and left Misha in tears. She heard her phone ring. It was Patrick's special ring tone, “My First Love” by Avant.

“Cooley,” Lynn said when she saw Cooley standing at her doorstep.
Cooley grabbed her in her arms and kissed her.
“I forgive you.” Cooley turned around and headed out the door. She walked off, struggling to hold back her true emotions.
Chapter 26
“Brandon, this shit is getting out of hand!” Lena yelled, looking at the new surveillance videos playing in Brandon's office. “The building has security. Why the hell do you need it right at our door like this?”
“Lena, do you forget that I'm a basketball player? Do you forget that I'm one endorsement away from being a true celebrity? Once Pepsi and Nike sign, it's all over. I have a duty to protect you.”
Lena did not like all the extra protection. She already began taking telecourses so that she didn't have to go on campus. She seldom got to drive her car because Brandon wanted her to always have security.
“Brandon, this is crazy. I don't see any of the other basketball wives with all this shit. There's something going on that you aren't telling me, and I want to know what the fuck it is!” Lena was furious.
Brandon sighed. “Baby, I've received a few threats. And that psycho girl from the wedding still hasn't been found. She already approached you once. What happens if you are alone and she sees you? I'm not willing to take that chance.”
Lena was horrified. “Brandon, you said that she was just a overzealous fan. Now you're saying that she is some kind of stalker.” Lena couldn't believe what she was hearing.
“I don't really know what she is, but I'm not going to take that chance. I won't be able to live with myself if anything ever happened to you.” Brandon hugged Lena.
Lena wrapped her arms around Brandon. “I understand what you're saying, but this is still ridiculous. I don't want to feel like a prisoner in my own home, and that is what I feel like. From now on I am going to go some places on my own. If Carmen and Misha are with me, then I don't need the bodyguard or the driver. I am going to take my car and go with my friends.”
Brandon knew he was not going to win the fight, so he gave up. Lena left his office and went to take a bath. Brandon watched her leave then closed his door. He quickly snatched the phone and left another voicemail.
“You'd better be not answering the phone because you've gotten out of town. If you come anywhere near my wife, I'm going to make sure you pay.” He slammed the phone down, realizing he was in a real mess.

Cooley stared at the computer screen. She and the other night owls typed away on their various midterm projects and papers. Cooley loved coming to the computer lab in the early morning hours when there weren't many people out. She decided to take a break from her paper to check her Facebook page. She had twelve new messages, twenty-four new friend requests, and seven new comments.
Cooley read the comments. It was the usual: girls trying to flirt via Facebook. She read through her messages. They were mostly from men, so she quickly deleted them. All of her friends were deleted, since she'd never heard of any of them. She never understood why people sent friend requests and didn't take the time to say hello at all.
Suddenly, her Yahoo! Messenger alert popped up. She had a new instant message.
Sexykitten4u: Hey Cooley
Cooley looked at her friends list; this was someone she didn't know.
KillaCooley: Who is this?
Sexykitten4u: Someone special
Cooley was about to press ignore when another message came through.
Sexykitten4u: Want to know who I am? Come around the corner to your marketing classroom.
Cooley decided to take a chance. She grabbed her bag and headed to the class. Cooley could see a shadowy figure sitting in the far corner. She went to turn the light on.
“Don't turn the light on. Just lock the door and come over here,” the seductive voice instructed.
Cooley instantly recognized the voice. “It's about time you got at me, Tara,” Cooley said as she walked up on Tara.
“How did you know it was me?” Tara said, as Cooley grabbed her butt.
“I never forget a sexy voice.” Cooley kissed Tara on her neck. “So, what's the business?”
“I want you to fuck me. Can you handle that?” Tara said as she sat on top of the desk.
Cooley laughed. “Girl, you gon' need to ask yourself that question when I'm done.” Cooley pulled down Tara's little dress. She didn't have on any underwear, which made things easier for Cooley.
Cooley began to devour her breasts, licking over her erect nipples.
“Fuck the sweet shit, Cooley. Fuck me now,” Tara demanded as she took Cooley's hand and placed it on her wet pussy.
“Damn, girl, let me do my thing,” Cooley said as she rammed two of her fingers in Tara, causing her to jump. “See, be careful what you ask for.”
Cooley grabbed hold of Tara's ass and pulled her toward the edge of the desk. She pushed the girl's legs open wide, and as she slid her body between them, she began to finger-fuck Tara like she had a real penis. Tara's body twitched each time Cooley hit her G-spot. “Oh, yes, harder,” Tara moaned.
Cooley turned her over and pressed her chest down against the cool, hard desk. She began to hit it from the back. She got off watching Tara's plump ass shake each time she pounded the soft flesh harder. Tara's whole body began to shake as Cooley felt her juices running down her arm.
Tara turned around and smiled. “Well, well, I must say I didn't expect that,” Tara said as she pulled up her dress.
“Never underestimate me,” Cooley responded as she pulled Tara close to kiss her.
Tara turned her head.
“No kissing. I have a man, remember.” Tara smiled. “But I will be in touch soon.”
Cooley stood shocked as Tara headed toward the door. “Yeah, you be in touch. Maybe I'll answer.”
Tara looked over her shoulder. “Trust me, you will.” She walked out of the door.
Cooley didn't know what to think. She smiled. The cockiness turned her on. She was going to get Tara again.

Cooley pulled up to her apartment. She cursed to herself when she saw Lynn sitting in her car.
“Hey, girl, how long you been waiting?” Cooley said.
“Well, about an hour, but I left and got some food. I figured you got caught up on your paper.” Lynn smiled as she walked up the stairs.
Cooley watched Lynn walk. She realized she needed to take care of that situation. Lynn was a nice girl, and Cooley didn't want to hurt her.
“So, Lynn, are you seeing anyone else right now?” Cooley asked as they walked in the apartment.
Lynn turned to Cooley. “Why would I be seeing someone else? Why would you ask me that?”
“I just wondered. I mean, you know, I date other people, so I wanted to make sure you were meeting others as well.”
Lynn wanted to scream but she held it in. “Well, there is one other person, but she don't have anything on my
papi
,” Lynn smiled.
“That's cool.” Cooley headed back to her room.
“Shit,” Lynn said to herself. She fought back tears. She was in love and she knew it.
“So, what are we going to watch?” Cooley asked as she walked in the kitchen. “Lynn, what's wrong with you?”
“Cooley, I will be honest with you. There is no one else. We've been seeing each other since the first week of school, and I figured things were going to change from this dating-other-people thing.”
“Lynn, I told you from the beginning, I wasn't looking for a relationship.”
Lynn put her hand on Cooley's arm. “I know, but I thought you would change your mind eventually. I mean, I am the one that you have mainly been with. What am I not doing that is making you go to other girls?” Lynn felt the tears forming in her eyes.
“Lynn, it's not like that. I just don't want to be tied down right now. If it is too much for you, then we may need to end this now,” Cooley said as she wiped the tear that fell from Lynn's eye.
“No, I'm good. I just wonder why I never seem to be relationship material.”
Cooley looked confused by the statement. “Lynn, what does that mean?”
Lynn lowered her head. “‘Cause every time I try to be with someone, they don't want me. I can cook and clean, but nothing else. At first I thought it was just 'cause I wasn't giving it up, but obviously it's more than that.”
Cooley put her arms around Lynn. “Lynn, you are good enough; you just caught me at a time when that's not what I am looking for. In a little less than two months, I'll be moving to Miami. I don't want to tie myself down when I know what kind of life I'm 'bout to be part of. But anyone should be proud to have you as their piece.” Cooley gave her a forehead kiss, hoping that Lynn took the excuse.
“You are a very special woman, Carla. When you finally decide to settle down, I know you are going to make the girl very happy. I hope I will be that girl one day.”
Cooley ignored the comment and headed into the living room. She realized she had a serious issue on her hands, but she didn't want to deal with it tonight.
