“Shhh.
Yes, he does.” Gretchen smiled, relieved he seemed to understand that their lives had changed. They had a baby to care for.

“You’re going to love our baby
,” she said. “He’s so beautiful, so sweet. He’s a perfect little angel.”

“Like… you.”

Kyros pressed his lips to hers. Gretchen reveled in the fact he was alive, and he loved her. Nothing else mattered. Despite all the confusion and threats looming overhead, not any of that mattered at this moment. What mattered was that they would face them together. Her life was his, and his was hers. And the future was theirs to share together.

To Rebecca, Courtney, Dyan and Marya.  Without you, I'd still be a woman sitting in my pajamas, plucking away on my laptop.  Now I'm an author plucking away on my computer in my pj's.

I'm a mom who writes books in her spare time: translation--I hide in the
 bathroom with my laptop and lock the door while the kids destroy the house and smear peanut butter on the walls. ;) I was born in Utah but lived in Salina, Kansas until I was 13 and in Garland, Texas until I was 18. I'm now back in Utah–"happy valley". I'm married to a wonderful husband, James, and we are currently raising 6 rambunctious children. My interests are reading, writing (of course), martial arts, visual arts, and spending time with family.
