Maple Magic Martini Makes 2 cocktails
2 slices pound cake, but extra is always even better
2 fluid oz. vodka 2 fluid oz. maple liquor 2 fluid oz. pure maple syrup ice
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Cut slices of pound cake into cubes and place spaced slightly apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake, for 12–15 minutes, or until dry to the touch, stirring a few times to ensure even toasting. Allow to cool completely. Can be prepared several days ahead if stored in an airtight container.
In a martini shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, maple liquor, and pure maple syrup. Strain into two martini glasses. Thread pound cake croutons onto 2 cocktail picks. Place one pick in each glass. Lay a bacon strip across each glass for use as a swizzle stick. Serve and enjoy!

cup shredded sharp cheddar or maple flavored cheese pure maple syrup Spray a small sauté pan with the cooking spray and place over medium heat. Add apple slices to the pan and cover with a close-fitting lid. Stir occasionally, cooking until slices are softened but still hold their shape. Remove from heat. Heat a second pan or griddle over medium heat. Butter one side of a waffle and place it buttered side down in the pan. Add the apple slices, spreading them out to the edges. Top with the bacon slices. Add the cheese. Butter the second waffle and place on top of the cheese, buttered side up.
Continue to cook for approximately three minutes, or until bottom waffle begins to brown on the underside. Press gently on the top waffle with a spatula to secure the layers before flipping the sandwich over and toasting the second side for approximately three minutes. Remove from heat and serve with a knife, fork, and generous quantity of maple syrup.
