“ No. ”
“Whatever, Trese. You didn't come here with Jeff,” he said. “Anyone that wants a ride can get one from you.”
“Fuck you, Theo.”
“Naw, that's not my job anymore.” He laughed. “Fuck Jeff.”
“You're just jealous,” Trese puffed up into his face.
Theo quickly evaluated his feelings. “I actually feel sorry for you, Trese.”
“What?” She had taken a step away, but turned back. “What do you mean, you feel sorry for me? I don't need nobody feeling sorry for me.”
“I feel bad for you because you don't mean anything to yourself,” he paused, “and that's more dangerous than not meaning anything to someone else.”
Trese lowered her voice. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“You need to get it together before it's too late.” Theo shook his head. “If this is the way you're living life now, what will you be doing five years from now?”
With a blank expression, Trese backed away until she disappeared into the crowd. Out of the same darkness came Angie.
“Hey, Theo. What's going on?”
“Nothing.” He leaned back against the wall.
“Would you like to dance?”
He looked down at Angie's perfect cheerleader-molded body, and for the moment, she seemed just right. She wasn't Trese, thank God, but she wasn't Paige either. “All right.”
A minute into dancing, he knew exactly what Angie had on her mind. Her hands were full of jeans and dick. Her smile and the innocent way she licked her lips made him grow harder as each song played. He tried stopping her, but she was dead set on having him. He never expected this from a girl like Angie; straight A's, ass kisser, and a member of every geeky club there was. Though he considered her actions tacky, he had given up on trying to stop her. In fact, when Angie said, “Let's go somewhere,” it was Theo who led her off of the dance floor.
They left the gym, sneaked past security, and scurried upstairs into the science wing. Angie had no problem finding the boys' restroom and locking them into a stall. She glanced up at him, expecting him to pounce on her. However, he thought past the tequila and realized what was about to happen.
“I think we better get out of here,” Theo said nervously
“Not a chance,” Angie said. “Do you know how long I've wanted to get you all alone?”
“How long?”
“Since the tenth grade.” The way Angie spoke, you'd think she had said “since kindergarten.”
“I'm willing to do whatever. What do you want to do?” Angie asked.
“I-I,” Theo stuttered, “I don't know.”
“Well, I know what I want to do,” she said, pulling his shirt up out of his pants.
“I don't know if this is a good idea, Angie.” He tried to get his drunken mind to follow his heart.
“Well, I have a good idea.” She reached for his belt buckle.
“Whoa.” He tried moving her hands, to no avail. “What are you doing?”
“Relax.” Angie grinned. “I've always wanted to know how big you were.”
“Well, I can tell you.” He thought of Paige sitting alone at home. “It's about nine inches when it's hard.”
Angie licked her lips. “I definitely have to see it now.” She didn't stop until his pants were around his knees. Once she had him in her hands, she refused to let go. “I want to suck your dick.”
“Look, you don't have to.”
She giggled. “I know that, but I want to.” Angie knelt before him, and before he could protest, he was in the warmth of her mouth.
“Damn,” Theo whispered, and it wasn't due to Angie doing a good job. It was because he didn't do a good enough job being the man Paige thought he was. “Fuck.” His hands flew upward to his face in disappointment.
Angie, encouraged by Theo's words, moved faster, which meant her teeth were scraping against his skin at what now felt like sixty-five miles an hour.
“Shit.” He was in pain. “Damn it, Angie stop.”
“What?” She was oblivious. “What did I do?”
“Everything.” He continued. “You're—”
“Who's in here?” a male voice asked, accompanied by the click-clacking sound of shoes against the tile. “Is someone in here?”
“Yes.” Theo sat on the toilet and pulled Angie onto his lap. “I'm on the toilet,” Theo said while holding Angie's legs up so that she wouldn't be seen.
The man asked, “And who is in there with you?”
“Nobody. I'm dropping the kids off at the pool.” He laughed. “I'm handling business, man.”
“I thought I heard voices.”
“You heard me doing number two.”
“All right,” he said. “If you don't mind, I'll stand here until you come out.”
“Why?” He was caught. “Who are you?” Theo asked.
“A chaperone at the dance, sent to make sure that all of the other areas were vacant.” He continued. “I heard a girl's voice, so you two can come out now, or I can call security to make a big deal out of this.”
Theo waited, but the man refused to go away. It was like a hostage standoff. “You still there?”
“Yes,” he said. “Are you all coming out?”
“Damn, man.” Theo was frustrated. “We were just messing around. We're not doing anything illegal.”
“I understand that, but my job is to escort you, or anyone in these parts, back down to the dance.”
“We'll go back as soon as you leave.”
“Fine,” he whined, “I'll just call security.” The noise from the man's shoes moved away from the stall door. Theo quickly thought about the untrained and unprofessional security guards spreading the news to the other faculty members. In a flash, he imagined the look on Paige's face as she learned that he was found in a restroom stall with Angela Porter, doing God knows what.
“Okay,” he surrendered, “we're coming out.” He put Angie's feet down, stood up, and fixed his clothing.
When the lock disengaged, Angie pushed the door open and stepped out. “Please don't call my father.” She burst into tears and begged.
“This is a matter just between us,” the man said, and Angie ran out of the restroom. “Okay, come on out, son.” Theo stepped out slowly and stared into the face of Mr. Doran Bess.
“Well, well, well, Theodore Lakewood.” Doran smiled. “I know a lot of people that would love to know about this.” He paused. “No need to worry, though. You're cool by me.” Without a word, Theo walked past him like the whole thing never happened.
Theo searched the gym for fifteen minutes before he found a sweaty Will dancing with a group of girls. “I'm leaving.” Will didn't hear him, and he didn't care to. He was in hip-hugger heaven. “Will,” Theo tapped him on the shoulder, “I'm out. I'm bouncin'.”
Will strained his eyes to see his Timex. “Why?” Ten-thirty wasn't the time they agreed on. “What's up?”
“I just need to get out of here.”
“Damn.” Will looked at the eager girls and then back at Theo. “Please don't do this to me, man. I don't have another ride.”
This was the happiest he had ever seen Will. He had no rights to ruin his night. “All right, man,” Theo said reluctantly. “I'll wait in the car.”
“Are you all right?”
“Yeah.” Before the word was completely in the air, Theo turned and walked away.
“Thanks, man,” Will screamed to his back.
During the long walk to his car, Theo didn't know what bothered him more, making the mistake with Angie or getting caught during the mistake. He had never once entertained the thought of cheating on Paige. After all, he had no real reason to. She was everything he ever wanted: sexy, smart, independent, spontaneous, patient, loving, affectionate. The list was never-ending.
“Fuck,” he whispered as Angela's close-to-castration blowjob came to mind. “The shit wasn't even good.”
“How did it get that far?” he asked himself. He imagined some guy with his tongue next to Paige's pussy and became sick to his stomach. For someone to get that far with her meant that she allowed it. The same stood true for him. He allowed it.

Derek's ground floor apartment . . .
“Aren't we supposed to be studying?” Toni chuckled.
“We will,” Derek said as he gently pushed her naked body toward the black satin sheets of his king-sized bed. “You really thought I invited you here to study?”
“Yeah.” Toni smiled. “Study and eat.”
“Well, I am about to eat.” He parted her thighs and began to blow delicately on her already glistening lips.
“All this time I thought you wanted me to be your study partner because you thought I was smart.” Toni faked a frown.
“You weren't wrong.” He tenderly kissed her lower lips. “You're smart, but you're sexy as hell too.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, but I see more than just your body.” Derek smiled as he looked over the hills of her breasts. “You have a lot going for yourself.”
“Like what, a husband and two kids?” Her intentions weren't to think out loud, but she did. “I'm the perfect booty call, no strings attached.”
Derek stopped and rose up. “It's not like that.”
“Tell me about it.” Toni stared up at the ceiling.
“I haven't even been here for an hour.” She first met Marcus as a stripper. Though he married her, he treated her like he was still paying for lap dances. In fact, all the men in her life handled her like they were paying for it. It was always tit for tat, you do me and I'll do you. “It's always like this.”
“Whoa. Don't compare me to anyone,” he responded sharply. “If you have something on your mind and want to talk about it, then let's talk.”
“You don't seem to want to talk to me,” Toni said.
He completely abandoned his post and lay beside her. “Let's talk.”
“Naw.” The turmoil she left at home she expected to find when she returned. The last thing she wanted to do was talk about it. “I'm all right,” she lied.
“If you were really all right, you wouldn't be in my bed,” Derek informed her. “I know that your husband is a lawyer, you have two boys, and a big-ass house. If everything was in order, you wouldn't jeopardize all of that to be here.”
“Derek, please don't—”
“Well, talk. I don't know what's bothering you unless you say something.”
“You won't understand. You're not old enough to—” She stopped herself.
“Okay, so we're moving on to me being twenty and you being nine years wiser than me now?”
“No, we're on me being twenty-nine and stuck in the worst situation any woman could ever be in.” Toni didn't know how to make him understand. “All I wanted was to get away . . . Just forget it.”
“Well, that's why I invited you here.” He paused. “No, I didn't just want to study, and yes, I've been thinking about us doing this, but not just this. I'm open to whatever can happen.”
“Yeah, right.” She just couldn't get her mouth to stop.
Derek was confused. “Didn't you think that all that nasty talking on the phone would lead to this?”
“Yeah,” Toni rolled her eyes, “but not after forty minutes behind closed doors.”
“All right.” He stood up from the bed with a fed-up face. “I'm not holding you down if you don't want to do it.”
“I'm sorry, Derek.” She wanted to be comforted, and right now he was all she had. “I do want to be here.” He was also right about the phone sex they were having every other day for almost a month. “I really wanna be here.”
“In my bed?” he asked her to confirm.
“Yes.” She pulled him in with her feet.
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.” She gave him puppy dog eyes. “You forgive me?”
“Yeah. You play too much, though.” He laughed, and without saying another word, Derek left the room. He returned minutes later, beckoning for her with his hands. He led her to his bathroom and though it was dark, three small candles struggled to provide the room with the ideal glow. The sound of the rustling water falling from the faucet to join the suds below was hypnotic, and the cucumber melon aroma served as an aphrodisiac.
“When you're with me, you're brand new again.” He lifted her up, placed her in his bathtub, and humbled himself before her. As though she was being baptized, Derek squeezed the warm sponge over her body, and then gently applied it to her tender, honey-brown skin. He washed her worries away. She was brand new.
On his knees outside of the tub, he fed her cherries, strawberries, and grapes. However, to her, his fingertips had more flavor than any fruit that had ever graced her lips. Beneath the surface of the bubbles, he massaged her and whispered things in her ears that she hadn't heard since becoming a wife. He told her things that made her feel like a woman.
Forty-five minutes later, without drying her off, Derek picked her up and carried her back to his room. He laid her on the bed and knelt before her opened legs again.
“Toni, you're not here just because no one else wanted to come. I asked you here because I didn't want anyone else here. I wanted you here, so try to relax.” With that said, Derek's tongue touched her fleshy switch and her entire body shuddered.

Toni's movements nearly seemed choreographed to match Mary J. Blige's “All That I Can Say,” playing in the living room. At least Mary had something to say. Toni was now speechless. Just seconds into the process, she tried pulling away. She found Derek's suction too gratifying. He held on to her thighs and shook his head from side to side, meaning, “Where are you going? I'm not finished yet.” The movement brought a wickedly stimulating sensation.
