HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS

Aloe vera juice before meals.

Drink calming teas before bed to aid sleep: chamomile, St. John’s wort, valerian, lemon balm, and lime flowers can all be helpful.

Make a paste out of slippery elm powder and water and apply this to the blisters to soothe and speed healing. Aloe vera gel is also calming and soothing.

If you have pain, at the onset take echinacea regularly.

Astragalus, skullcap, and lobelia are all good nerve tonic herbs.

L-lysine for its antiviral effects.

Vitamin C for its immune-supportive effects.

Sublingual vitamin B

to support the nervous system.

Vitamin B complex twice daily.

Zinc citrate daily.

EXTRA TIPS

Do not touch the sores unless applying an ointment or poultice to aid healing. This can increase irritation and spread the infection.

Relax and get as much rest as possible.

Take care with personal hygiene; do not share towels, etc.
