“Oh, God,” she whimpered. “I love you, too. So much it hurts. I wasn’t sure you’d really forgive me.”
“Do you doubt me now?” He turned and lay on his back, stroking his erection.
“No,” she said, laughing. She’d never been so happy.
Lily crawled over Jude and straddled his hips. Impaled herself slowly, relishing the connection, his hot cock spearing her. He grabbed her hips and moaned, gazing up at her with those pretty eyes. So clear she could almost believe he saw her.
In his own way, he did.
“God, yes,” he said. “Missed this. So crazy about you.”
She opened her mouth, but words fled as he began to move inside her, thrusting upward.
“Hang on, baby, and let me give you a ride you won’t forget. Make sure you never want to run away again.”
“I wasn’t running. I was waiting.”
With that, they began to move together. Whirls of fire torched her clit, her sex. Never had she experienced anything as wonderful as riding Jude in broad daylight. Him filling her completely, making love by the sea.
Mind-blowing, the sensation of them connected by their hearts as well as their bodies. She gasped as he pumped faster, her hands splayed on his chest. Braced herself as they found just the right rhythm, building the pressure, increasing the tension threatening to explode.
He pounded into her and they slapped noisily, the delicious buzz starting in her womb, ready . . . right there. . . .
“Oh, God! God, yes, yes!”
She went over the edge, came in a fiery burst. He followed, hoarse shouts carrying in the air, cum bathing her in a heated rush.
Completing her.
As they came down, a contentment she’d never known stole over her, soothed her weary heart.
Lily sighed and went limp draped across Jude’s chest. He cupped the back of her head and brought her down for a slow, sexy kiss, exploring. Sealing his claim on her once and for all.
When the kiss ended, Lily slid off and snuggled into him, lost in thoughts of all that had happened in the past few weeks. Jude stretched out beside her on the towel.
“Has Michael decided on Dietz’s sentence?”
“Imprisonment, for now,” Jude said. “Dietz knows where the stolen weapon is, and who the enemy plans to use it on. For now, he’s not talking and it’s the only thing keeping him alive.”
Another mission for a different set of agents. She and Jude were out of doing the dangerous undercover field work. Thank God.
There was only one thing more that would complete her happiness.
“Has Liam forgiven me?”
Jude nuzzled her hair. “You can ask him later. He wants to make amends in person.”
“He’s here?”
“With Dev and Geneva.”
“Does this mean they’ve reconciled?” she asked.
“They have. In fact, Liam’s moving in with them.” He gave a wistful smile. “I’ll miss him living at the house, not to mention missing his cooking, but it’s great he’s so damned happy.”
“They’ve told him they love him?”
“Yeah. They’ve made it clear the three of them come as a package deal from now on.”
Lily was thrilled for Liam. But she needed to know
her
place in Jude’s home, his life. Without any doubts.
“I can cook, too,” she said quietly. Voice filled with hope.
His arms tightened around her. “Can you?”
“I’m no chef, but I’m not bad.”
“Can you love a retired assassin? In sickness and in health?”
Her throat clogged with joy. “I believe I can handle that, too. If you can love a retired assassin who nearly—”
“No more of that. Ever. Let’s enjoy our vacation with our friends and after that . . . come home, Lily. Please.”
“I thought you’d never ask.”
Jude rolled her underneath him and her blood fired as he began to love her again.
The sexiest man in the world had brought color to her cold, joyless existence. Healed her weary soul.
She could think of nowhere she’d rather be than in Jude’s arms. In his bed.
For the rest of her life.
