“You please me so much,” Leah said. “I will find the strength to share my deepest feelings. More than anything, I want you to show me what I am capable of. In the safety of your arms, I find freedom. It’s because of you.” She breathed in. “I’m not afraid. Not with you.”

The discussion with Gianni impacted Leah heavily. Complying with his request to communicate things that were nearly impossible to put into words was not a task to be taken lightly. But she understood why he thought it was important.

Yet beyond the prospect of enlightening him on deep emotions was the lure of what he offered. To say that what they had done together was only the beginning ignited a fire within her that threatened to roar into a blaze that could not be put out. Leah wanted all he would give her, and the more intense the encounter, the better she liked it.

She knew that about herself.

Surely Gianni could see that without her having to say so. And he must. For he guided her toward sensation that she craved like a junkie, while skirting past the tip of pain, which only served to heighten the experience. And he gave no sign of going easy on her. Instead, he seemed to want nothing more than to continue push boundaries.

A few days later, when Gianni told her to pack a bag and plan to stay at the condo over the weekend, she was overcome with nervous anticipation. An entire weekend meant a lot of time in the playroom. She hoped. As Leah packed, heavy longing stirred within her.

Leah couldn’t imagine life without Gianni. She couldn’t imagine a man that could satisfy her as much. And there was no other man she wanted to give herself to the way she had with Gianni. Loving him as she did, all that she experienced with him, every emotion, was amplified.

He wanted her to talk to him, and tell him of her feelings. Yet the strongest feeling was
love
. It overshadowed all others. Was he ready to deal with that? Or did he still think she was only responding to his domination, feeling a connection that she misinterpreted? That love was too strong a word.

She knew about Ava, and the incident that had scarred Gianni’s past, made him doubt himself. But that was over. Understandably, he had hardened his heart against love, seeing its dangers. Leah couldn’t help thinking that his capacity to love would be restored. Now they could move beyond what had happened.

The defeat Gianni felt, when he was convinced he had let Ava down, had made him withdraw. The shock and sadness was so great that he had locked that door, maybe for good. Then he found Leah, and more than anything, she wanted to satisfy his deepest needs. He had opened the door again, so they could enter the playroom together. Gianni could share the potent scenes he preferred. And he would find love, finally allow himself to feel it. Leah couldn’t be wrong about that. Could she?
