O
ur trip home goes by way too fast. I’m happy we took my truck instead of the bike. This way I can hold her hand, and enjoy her recap of our weekend and all the other things she has to say. As we drive up to the clubhouse she grows quiet.

“What’s wrong?” I ask.

“Nothing. I can’t wait to see Alexa. I miss her.”

I reach over and take her hand, giving her a gentle squeeze.

I can’t say goodbye to her yet, so I walk her over to Rock and Hope’s. Plus, I want to see the baby, too.

Rock and Hope are in the living room with Alexa.

“How was your trip?” Hope asks as she rushes over to hug both of us.

Heidi’s blushing like crazy, so I answer for her. “Fun. Peaceful.”

A knowing smile slides over Rock’s face as he joins us and hands Heidi’s daughter over. “She missed you,” he says to Heidi.

Heidi’s gone. Lost in making baby noises and cooing at her daughter. I think it’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how much I love this woman.

It’s a little awkward with all of us standing in the entryway. Hope finally has us move to the kitchen. I feel like I’m overstaying my welcome, but I can’t find it in me to say goodbye to Heidi.

While the girls catch up on everything Alexa did while we were away, I ask Rock if I can measure a piece of property to start building a house. The corner of his mouth pulls into a lazy smile. “You know you can. The property belongs to the club. Figure out where you want to build, and I’ll help you anyway I can. We should probably think about extending the driveway from the clubhouse out here or putting in one from the other access road.”

We’ve never had more than one entry point at the club property, so that’s a big undertaking and also a security issue.

“I think the driveway from the clubhouse should be enough. Maybe we can do a circular thing that loops around.”

He nods. “We’ll ask Wrath what he thinks.”

“I can tell you right now what he’s going to say: ‘stay the fuck away from my house’.”

Rock laughs. “Yeah, probably.” His gaze strays to Heidi and Alexa. Then he gives Hope a look and tilts his head. Finally, he turns to me. “You can stay here with them if you want.”

I can’t tell if they discussed this ahead of time or if Rock just came up with the idea. Hope excitedly picks up his thought. “I never use my home office. We can move Alexa’s things in there for now, so you two can have privacy.”

I’m so stunned by the offer, I can’t answer them. Heidi keeps blushing and won’t meet my eyes.

“Are you sure? I don’t want to be in the way here.”

“Well”—Rock nods at Heidi—“they can’t be over at the clubhouse all the time. Alexa will be miserable listening to all that noise.”

I huff out a laugh. “You sure it won’t be weird for you two? I mean, you moved out here to get away from the clubhouse, not have extended guests.”

“Family’s always welcome,” Hope assures me.

My gaze swings to Heidi again. This time she’s watching me with a hopeful expression. “That okay with you?”

“Yes,” she whispers. “I’d like that.”

“Okay then.”

Rock and Murphy spent the afternoon rearranging Hope’s office and then moving Alexa’s crib and other stuff into the cleared space. It’s not ideal, but it’s nice to have a room to myself again.

A room that includes Blake.

“Is this weird? It’s weird, right?” I ask before settling down for the night.

“It’d be weirder if I was over at the clubhouse and you were here.”

“True.”

“I don’t want to spend another night of my life without you next to me.”

His words stir up so much happiness inside me. I don’t want to spend another night without him, either.

“Kiss me,” I whisper.

He glances over and a playful naughtiness enters his eyes. “Where, beautiful?”

“Anywhere you want.”

The naughty gleam is replaced by warmth and sweetness as he shifts to kiss my lips, my cheek, my forehead, and back to my mouth.

I can’t stop touching him. His warm skin revealed from the waist up. I stop at the drawstring of his flannel pants.

“Wow, first night under Mom and Dad’s roof and you’re already going for a quickie,” he whispers against my ear, teasing me.

“They’re all the way upstairs.”

He rocks his hips against my hand. “Keep going,” he whispers, his lips skimming my neck.

My fingers trail a little lower, resting against the soft flannel and the hard bulge behind it. A little pressure and he groans, squeezing his eyes tight. “Not yet. This is about you.”

Hmm
…I like that, but I’m also frustrated, wanting to explore every inch of him.

“Take your shirt off,” he growls in my ear. Low and demanding. I can’t get my shirt off fast enough. Or wriggle out of my shorts.

His hands cup my breasts, squeezing enough to thrill. He runs his thumbs lightly over my hard nipples, and I gasp.

“Do you like that?”

“Yes.”

“Tell me what you like. I love hearing you say it.” His mouth trails down my collarbone, finally replacing his thumb. He lingers on each nipple until I’m squirming beneath him.

Excitement builds as he throws the covers back and trails lower, over my stomach, nipping at my skin. He doesn’t yank my underwear off. No, he drives me nuts first, nibbling at the small scrap of fabric covering me. My hands settle on his shoulders—to push him away or pull him closer, I’m not sure. I’m trembling everywhere, little noises coming out of my mouth. I’m barely aware of when he slips his hands under the straps at my hips and eases the cotton panties down my legs. Then his mouth is on me, touching me, kissing me. His hands hold my thighs apart to give him access. His tongue traces over me, feather-light, slowly building pressure. Then the pressure stops.

“Is that good?” he asks.

I groan in frustration. “Don’t stop.” Tipping my head up, I find him grinning. “Don’t be a jerk.” He laughs even harder, then abruptly licks me again, sending my hips shooting off the bed.

After that bit of teasing, he’s all focus, making me forget everything. Where we are, who we are, nothing but his tongue, lips, mouth, teeth on me matters. Pressure builds as he pleasures me with so much care and focus, that any doubts I have melt away. My body responds,
reaching, reaching, reaching
for something, just beyond my grasp. When it hits, every muscle in my body tightens as the shock wave of pleasure crashes over me.

When I finally open my eyes, he’s kissing his way up my body. I reach down and brush my hand over his cheek, and he turns to kiss my fingers. “That was amazing,” he says.

“Yes.”

He settles next to me, pulling me into his arms so we’re pressed together so tight I can feel his heartbeat, rapid like mine. He kisses me over and over. “I want to do that a hundred more times.”

My laughter seems loud in the quiet surrounding us. “I won’t say no.”

T
he warmth of Blake’s protection and love surrounds me so tight, I’m smiling before I’m even fully awake the next morning.

“Hey, beautiful,” he murmurs at me. Turning over, he pulls me closer, sealing his mouth over mine.

A sort of grunt bursts out of me and I push him away. “Don’t. I’m all morning breath stinky.”

He tips his head back and laughs.

“You’re all minty fresh, though. How long have you been up?”

“A while. Now shut up and kiss me.” He rolls me under him, and we spend a lot of time teasing and tasting each other. I shift, spreading my legs and bumping my hips up to meet his hardness.

“Blake,” I whisper. “I need—”

Screaming interrupts my words. “Alexa’s up,” I groan.

Blake’s up and out of bed. “Stay there. I’ll grab her.”

Ugh, this is awful. I don’t think he realizes the fun we had over the weekend won’t happen on a regular basis. Those days are over for me and for him, if he wants to be with me.

I’m a puddle of mush as I watch him saunter back into the room, swaying Alexa in his big arms until she settles down. She wraps one tiny fist around his beard and yanks hard.

“That’s her new favorite thing.”

“I noticed.”

He hands me a bottle and as she settles into my arms for her morning feeding, Blake sits on the edge of the bed, watching us with a smile.

“I’m sorry,” I say. “Are you sure you’ve thought about this? I’m…being with me means not having any time to ourselves. Are you ready to have your life turned upside down?”

He reaches out and brushes his hand over mine. “You’re what I want. Don’t ever doubt it.”

I don’t know why I feel compelled to warn him. He’s spent enough time with Alexa and me over the last few months to know what he’s getting into. “Being with me will change everything for you. Your life won’t be the same.”

He shifts and runs his hand over Alexa’s head. “I know what I’m taking on. I’m ready for it, beautiful.”

“Well, you
are
so much older than me,” I tease to break up the heaviness settling over us.

Instead of laughing, he smiles. “Thanks for reminding me that I’m a big perv.”

“I didn’t mean it like that.”

“I know.”

He’s quiet for a while, watching us.

When Alexa’s settled back down, I slip across the hall and tuck her back in her crib, then duck into the bathroom. As soon as I step back in the bedroom, Blake’s hands are on my hips, yanking me against him. “Where were we?”

Laughter dies on his lips as he takes in my expression. “What’s wrong?”

“You said you’re ready for it. But, what about those cross-country trips you love taking? I can’t go with you.”

His brow wrinkles. “So, we’ll take my truck. We should wait until Alexa’s older so she can remember the trip.”

“What?”

“She’s too young—”

“No, I got that part.”

“The truck?”

“I thought the whole point was to do it on the bike? Wind in your face and all that.” I poke my finger in his chest where his flash would be if he were wearing his cut. “Mr. Road Captain.”

“So, we’ll do that when the kids are older.”

Whoa. What? “Kids? Plural?” I glance down and run my hand over my belly. “Do you know something I don’t know?”

His mouth slides into a wide grin. “You know what I mean. We talked about this.”

“Uh, I guess.”

“I feel like you’re overthinking things again. Let me worry about road trips and stuff.”

“Okay.”

“You know what we do need to worry about?”

When I can’t come up with anything, he laughs. “Your brother.”

“Oh.”

“I’d like to officially tell him.”

I slap my hand over my chest. “You mean you didn’t ask for his permission before you defiled me?”

I get a smack on my butt that ends in an ass-grab. When I wiggle my hips, he slaps my ass again. “Watch it, Heidi, I can spend all day spanking your ass.”

“You wouldn’t dare,” I taunt, just to see the look on his face.

I get more than I bargained for. He puts me over his shoulder and tosses me on the bed. After a flurry of kisses, he sits up. “Come on, get dressed. I can’t enjoy this knowing I haven’t told him yet.”

I’m touched by how much he cares about my brother. But also
frustrated
