Chapter 32
Carrie looked out over the water and decided to let go of the argument. “I’ll forgive you if you take me out on a boat so we can have some time on the water. We need to get you away from this motel. It’s the outdoors that you love here.”
“Great idea. Let me go check with the boat captain and see what’s available this afternoon. Why don’t you pack us a lunch that we can take on the boat?”
Grabbing her hand, they strolled back to the motel. “Meet me back here at the palapa,” Bob said as he headed toward the fishing boats.
Carrie was walking toward the kitchen when she bumped into Jose in the bar. “So how was the Open House, Carrie?”
“We didn’t stay long but I liked what I saw. Bob was unhappy to see Felix there. He talked to him just long enough to get an idea of his intentions then headed back here to tell you.” She paused and looked Jose in the eyes, “Trust me, Jose, he’s a smooth talker. He will work both angles – your motel and The Spa just to see which one gives up first.”
“We’ve called Alfredo. I want to hear what he thinks.”
“That’s smart; a group always makes a better decision. I’m heading to the kitchen. We hope to take a boat out this afternoon.”
“You’ll have to stay close to shore if Bob’s driving. We have to have a captain onboard for insurance purposes.”
“I’ll be sure to tell Bob. Anything else we should know?”
“No, go help yourself to anything in the kitchen. It’s lunch time for the cooks.”
Carrie grabbed a bag and opened the refrigerator door. She saw leftovers from the buffet the night before. A pork roast caught her attention. Cutting open some fresh bolillos, she stuffed them with pork slices and tomatoes. Carrie wrapped slices of pineapple in foil and tucked a couple of slices of tres leche cake into the bag. Cold beers finished off the meal.
She and Bob walked into the palapa at the same time. Bob grinned, “I know you’ve forgiven me because you didn’t keep me waiting.” He looked at her full bag. “Can’t wait to see what’s for lunch.”
“I bumped into Jose. He asked us to keep close to shore since we won’t have a boat captain aboard. It has something to do with insurance rules.”
“Not a problem. We’ll just putter down the shoreline and pull up at Rancho Murieta. I’ll keep in touch with the radio so the captain knows where we are.”
Wading out to the boat, Carrie climbed aboard to check out all the fishing gear before she wandered up front to the captain’s station. Bob was busy adjusting the throttle and setting gauges. They slowed moved forward and turned right heading away from the motel.
“Would you like a chance to steer the boat?” Bob pulled her in front of the captain’s chair where he was seated. Wrapping his arms around her, they both had their hands on the wheel. “The touch is light with a boat when the water is calm like today.” He let go placing his hands on her hips and resting his head on her shoulder. “That’s it. Can you feel the rolling motion of the boat? Spread your legs so you keep your balance.”
He left her in charge while he walked outside checking the horizon. No one was this close to shore. Assured that the coast was clear, Bob returned to the cabin to find that Carrie has stripped down to her bikini.
“You look like a woman in charge,” smiled Bob as he unbuttoned his shirt and leaned against the doorway.
“Just call me ‘Rosie’ from
The African Queen.
”
“Oh, does that make me Humphrey Bogart?”
“Well, he is a hero in the end, Bob. We all have our moments.”
Bob walked behind the chair and kissed Carrie’s neck. “Thanks, sweetheart. You want me to take over here? I’m getting a little hungry.”
“Why don’t you set the food out while I steer? This is relaxing, especially the motion of the boat. You can let me be the captain today.”
Bob reached into the bag and brought out two cold beers. He placed the rest of them in the cooler under the table. Pulling out the sandwiches, Bob moaned at the bolillos. “Fresh baked bread.” He passed one to Carrie and placed his on the table nearby. Unwrapping the foiled pineapple, he bit into a slice before sharing it with Carrie.
“Um-m, sweet,” she murmured licking the juice from her fingers.
“We can kill the engine and let the boat drift while we eat.” He leaned forward to turn the key off and moved the captain’s chair so they could face each other to share the table.
“You look good sitting in the big chair, Carrie. You know it has adjustments so you can lean back and raise it up or down.” Looking around for the controls Carrie pushed one that was on the chair base. She slowly drifted down. Pushing the button again, she rose until she stopped.
“This would make a great sex chair,” she quipped taking a long drink of beer. “I wonder if it has a vibrate position.” She looked to the side searching for more controls while Bob admired her body. He felt a surge of passion as he watched her bend to examine the chair.
“Now that’s an idea,” Bob grinned. He stood and slowly approached her, “We need some make-up sex and I’d love to take you right there in that chair. What do you say, captain?”
“So, you want to make up for this morning?” She smiled, “That’s mighty sweet.”
He wiggled his eyebrows at her before bending down to kiss her. Bracing himself on the arms of the chair, he turned it so he had her full attention.
She wrapped her legs around him but she was too low. He leaned forward to touch the lever and raised the chair until he fit snugly between her legs. Pushing the button on the arm of the chair, Bob tilted Carrie back slightly. Just then a wave rocked the boat and pushed him forward into Carrie. They laughed and grabbed each other. Bob spread his legs wider before bringing his head down to kiss Carrie again. She lifted her hands under his shirt rubbing his chest while he nibbled down her neck. He pulled the bikini strings loose with his teeth and kissed his way back to her chest.
“You are the captain of my heart,” he whispered taking her breast into his mouth and drawing on the nipple. The boat rocked again and Carrie wrapped her legs tighter around Bob’s thighs. Her hands drifted down to his shorts which she unzipped and pulled out his shaft. She untied the side of her bikini bottom so his penis could rub against her labia.
“Oh, you are mine,” she sighed as she felt the surge of his cock thicken.
Raising his head, Bob returned to her lips. He replaced her hand on his penis and forced it down to stroke the full length of her labia. “Lean back, Carrie, and let me love you.” She slid down the chair so her core was at the edge and Bob’s shaft was pushing against it.
“Take me, baby, it’s all yours,” she chanted raising her arms over her head thrusting her breasts up for him.
Bob moved closer between her legs and widened his stance for balance. Stretching her out in front of him, Bob raked his hand down her body as he came deeply inside her and stopped just as the boat rocked in the water. “Two cockpits in two days, baby.” He thrust again with the roll of the boat.
“Oh, now I like the ocean,” panted Carrie as they let the waves rock them together. “Yeah, roll that cock for me.”
Bob moved his hands over Carrie’s breasts palming them while his body moved slowly in rhythm with the sea. She braced her arms to meet each of his thrusts.
Soon she was crying out in pleasure as his seed spilled into her making her throb. She took Bob’s head between her hands and kissed him passionately. “I love you,” she whispered to his lips as she pulled back and watched him return to his standing position.
Bob was breathing heavily from his climax but he leaned forward to kiss Cassie. Looking down he saw his cum on her labia. “I want to show you how much I love you,” he said before dipping his head to lap up his semen. Her body jerked but he soothed the sensitive area with kisses and hummed his pleasure as he kissed her mound and blew on her inner lips before sucking on them.
When his tongue flicked her clitoris, she cried out, “I don’t believe it. I’m coming again.” Bob thrust his tongue deeper into her vagina as he sucked out the remaining cum, licked and stroked up to her apex. “Deeper,” she cried as her body rose to meet the orgasm. Lifting her hips, Bob’s tongue dived into her core then worked her clitoris till she cried, “Enough.”
He stood smiling down at her as she reclined in the chair to catch her breath. “I had to have you, Carrie. Making love to you puts the past behind us so we can enjoy the afternoon. I hope you understand.”
“I’m not complaining. I’ve just never had a man do that before. Now I know I like plane sex and boat sex. What else you got in mind?” She leaned forward to kiss him. “Um-m, sweet love juice is on your lips. It makes me hungry. Let’s eat.”
Chapter 33
By late afternoon Bob and Carrie pulled into the Rancho Murieta shoreline as the fishing boats returned for the day. Bob and Carrie watched the fishermen unload their catch while they tied up their boat.
Walking to the outdoor bar, they ordered margaritas and took them to the hammocks down on the beach. “I bet this is gonna sway more than that boat,” teased Carrie as she handed her drink to Bob so she could climb in.
“Let’s sit in it like a swing while we enjoy our drinks,” Bob suggested. He handed off the drinks to Carrie and gently slipped into the hammock beside her. They watched the birds dive into the water hunting for fish as they sipped their drinks.
“Do you think we can cuddle in this thing?” Carrie asked as she leaned forward to stretch out her arms.
“Sure, let’s just grab each other and move as one.” He stretched out behind her and together they swung their legs up to stretch them out.
“It’s a perfect fit. Now we just wait for the wind to blow us.” They lay in silence for a few minutes while the hammock barely moved.
“So tell me about this motel. Why is it not a target for someone like Felix?”
“It’s already owned by a corporation in Cabo. I knew the man who started it years ago. He retired and sold out to a chain. They’ve worked very hard to keep the ambience the same. Sometimes he comes back to visit. I should ask if he’s here.”
“I wonder if he’d know anyone at Royal Hacienda. There’s nothing like a local to get your message across for you.”
Bob squeezed Carrie and kissed her ear. “You are brilliant. Hugo would do that for me. Let’s go see if he’s here this weekend.” He pulled Carrie up with him and swung their legs over the side. He stopped the swinging with his legs so they could step out. Bob took her hand and walked through the sand to the patio. He asked the bartender if Hugo was visiting this weekend.
“Si, senor, he went fishing today. I think he’s in the kitchen fileting a Dorado.”
Pulling money from his pocket, he passed a tip to the bartender. “Would you please go tell Hugo that Bob Stevens would like to say hello?”
Within minutes, a stocky gray-haired Hispanic came walking through the door wiping his hands on a towel. “Roberto,” he greeted shaking hands with Bob. “And, who is your lovely companion?” Bob introduced Hugo to Carrie and asked if he could buy him a drink.
“I’d like your opinion on a local motel matter. It will only take five minutes.”
They moved to a table in the bar and ordered margaritas for everyone. Bob asked about Hugo’s family first before summarizing Pleasure Cove’s plait with Felix Jacada.
“You have evidence that someone from Royal Hacienda knew about Felix’s plans?”
“Yes, we have emails that state Royal Hacienda as an interested buyer. We have an eye witness who met with Felix and heard him say he was doing this for someone inside the Royal Hacienda Company.”
“It doesn’t sound like their style, Roberto. It must be someone new in the organization. I met their CEO before I sold to El Presidential. We talked about converting this motel to casitas but I decided to cash out. I didn’t want to wait five years for my money.”
“Would the CEO take your call if you wanted to warn him that someone in his firm is using Jacada Construction to sabotage a targeted motel?”
“You would have to show me the evidence first, and I would want to talk to your witness and see if his testimony is credible. He could be lying to you. It would be very embarrassing to make that call and not back it up.”
“I agree,” nodded Bob. “If we could get the witness to Pleasure Cove tomorrow, could you stop by to interview him?” Bob turned to Carrie and asked, “Is your schedule flexible on Monday in case we need to stay one more day?” Carrie thought for a minute before squeezing his hand, “I can make it work.”
“Hugo, you are welcome to come spend the night at the motel so you can review the evidence before Miguel arrives from Tiajuana.”
“Roberto, I need to get my Dorado in the freezer. I can stay here tonight. I’ll drive over tomorrow morning. Maybe we could have lunch.”
“That would be perfect. I do appreciate your time, Hugo. Carrie and I came here to have dinner so I could show her your place. I want you to see the changes we’re making at Pleasure Cove.” The men shook hands before Hugo returned to his fish in the kitchen.
“This could be very good for us. If Hugo believes the evidence, he will follow through. I'm encouraged. What did you think of him, Carrie?”
“He’s a straight shooter. Does Jose know him? You have to convince him and Alfredo that Hugo will get the job done.”
“First things first. Let’s enjoy dinner and deal with that later.” They left the bar to enter the dining room. Carrie immediately liked the romantic atmosphere with candles, white table cloths and wicker chairs.
After placing their order, Bob moved his chair closer to Carrie’s and placed his hand on her leg under the table. “You look lovely in the candlelight.”
“So do you, Bob.” She leaned over to kiss his lightly. She looked around the dining room and was taken in by the simple elegance. “What a difference between this and Jose’s place.”
Bob nodded as he took in a quick glance. “Hugo knew what to do. He started out at the Twin Dolphins in Cabo and brought that experience with him. Jose will probably always be Motel 6,” Bob joked as he sipped his drink.
“Hey, there’s nothing wrong with Pleasure Cove. You’ve got your work cut out for you tomorrow gathering the evidence and getting Miguel down here. What if he doesn’t co-operate? What’s your Plan B?”
“Let’s hope that sitting in jail has made him antsy. If he gets a free ticket back to the mainland in exchange for his testimony he’ll co-operate ‘cause there is no Plan B.”
They enjoyed their dinner while watching the sky move from orange to pink at the horizon.
Arm in arm Bob and Carrie strolled back into the motel to find Jose at the front desk. “Buenos noches,” Carrie greeted him. “We had a lovely time on the boat.”
“Yes, I can tell, you look like lovebirds,” Jose teased.
“Guess who I ran into at Rancho Murieta,” Bob challenged with a smile on his face.
“Eva Langoria,” Jose quipped, “She’s one hot chica.”
“No, Hugo Verdez, you remember him. He used to own Rancho Murieta.”
“Oh, yeah, the old guy with the white hair.”
“Right,” Bob nodded. “He’s coming here tomorrow for lunch. I believe he can help us get rid of Felix.”
“How would he do that?” interrupted Jose.
Bob put up his hand, “Just listen for a minute. Hugo knows the CEO at Royal Hacienda. He says he’d never condone sabotage. He thinks Felix is working with an underling. He agreed to interview Miguel. If his testimony is strong enough, he’ll call Royal Hacienda for us.” Bob studied Jose’s face for his reaction.
“That would be good if we could solve this without the police,” Jose agreed nodding his head.
“Have you heard from Alfredo?” Carrie asked.
“No, not yet, Saturday is his busy day at the dealership. He’ll call in the morning.”
“We need to get Miguel here tomorrow afternoon. Between his testimony and the emails that Juanita found, it should be enough evidence. See if Alfredo can bring Miguel here.”
“Okay. Juanita is watching Felix right now. I’ll talk to her in the morning.”
“Good night,” Carrie waved as they headed to their room.
Early the next morning Bob slid quietly out of the bed so Carrie could sleep. He pulled on shorts and left the room for a morning walk on the beach. It was always his best time to think when his head was clear. He knew that Miguel hearing Felix talk about someone at Royal Hacienda was merely circumstantial evidence. Did Miguel ever hear Felix on the phone with his contact or meet his contact at The Spa? He needed to study the emails Juanita had found on Mary’s computer. A direct email with a Royal Hacienda address would be more incriminating. He wandered toward Alfredo’s house hoping that Juanita was an early riser. He knocked on the door and Juanita soon appeared with a cup of coffee in her hand.
“Buenos dias, Roberto,” she greeted.
“I know it’s early but do you have a minute? I was very curious what happened with Felix last night.”
Juanita smiled waving him into the kitchen. “Would you like some coffee?” she offered as she began talking, “Our man Felix put the make on a waitress at The Spa. She just happens to be the older sister of one of the security guards here at Pescadero.”
Sipping his coffee, Bob sighed, “Yeah, sounds like Felix all right. He thinks he’ll get to us through the girl and her brother.”
“That’s what I’m thinking. I’m just getting ready to go give my report to Jose.”
“Before you go, do you think there could be anything else in Mary’s computer? Is there any chance that Miguel would have any other forwarded messages that might include Royal Hacienda’s contact in them?”
“That would be a long shot. Why do you ask?”
“We’re going to need your help, Juanita. Someone is coming today who has contacts at Royal Hacienda. If our evidence is strong enough, he’s willing to call the CEO for us.”
“Whoa, that would get somebody’s attention,” Juanita commented. “We definitely have the email communication between Royal Hacienda and Felix. That message got forwarded to Miguel.”
“Do you have the equipment to tape today’s interview with Miguel? I think it’s important that we show Hugo’s interview with Miguel. And, I’d rather Miguel not know we’re taping if that’s possible.”
“I can audio tape it by planting a microphone in Jose’s office, but videotaping would be harder. I only have a handheld camera with me.”
“What about the police? I wonder if the they would have something that Alfredo could bring with him.” He stood and set his coffee cup down. “Let’s go find Jose. The three of us need to talk so we’re ready for this afternoon.”
Jose was finishing his breakfast as they walked into the bar. “Hola, Jose,” greeted Juanita. “We had a busy night last night.”
“You’re up early, Bob,” noticed Jose, “No breakfast in bed with Carrie today?”
“I woke up thinking about today. I think it’s important to get Miguel in front of Hugo so we can see if he’s willing to support our efforts. Juanita here tells me Felix hit on a waitress last night so he’s obviously looking for new informants.”
“Okay. Let’s go call Alfredo at home.” The three of them headed back to Jose’s office where they could talk in private.
Dialing the number, Jose sat behind his desk as Juanita and Bob gathered around the front. Alfredo picked up on the third ring. “Hola,” he began.
“Primo,” Jose greeted affectionately. “We need to talk. Do you have a few minutes now. Juanita and Bob are here with me.”
“Sure, what’s going on?”
Jose summarized the weekend activity about Felix, and Bob bumping into Hugo at Rancho Murieta. He ended with Juanita’s report of Felix’s nighttime activities.
“Well, at least we know he’s not going away as we hoped,” Alfredo said drily.
“Hugo is willing to come to Pleasure Cove today to meet with us. He’d like to interview Miguel himself. Is it possible that you could bring him down this afternoon?”
“Let me make some calls and check on that. I’ve been too busy at the dealership to worry about Miguel for a few days.”
“Bob has a special request. Ask your detective if he has a video camera we can use to tape Hugo’s interview. He wants a record of Miguel’s testimony in case he tries to change it later.”
“Okay. I’ll ask. Give me an hour or two and I’ll call you back. At least it’s a great day to drive to the beach.”
Bob turned to Juanita and asked, “Can you think of anything else we can do to collect evidence against Felix?”
“Well, what if he’s courting the waitress just to get info on The Spa? I’d like to hack into The Spa’s server and see if he’s trading emails with anyone this weekend.”
“Could you do that from here?” Jose asked curiously.
“Maybe,” she replied hesitantly. “It’s worth a try. We need to know what he’s up to, and that’s something I can do now.”
“Good enough for me, what do you think, Jose?”
“As long as we can do it here, and they will never know, let’s give it a try.” He gave her a long look. “So, someone could hack into our computers here?” he asked.
“No, I’ve set up security levels for you, Jose, and I may find the same thing at The Spa.”
Leaving the room, she returned to the front desk so she could start her research.
Bob filled up coffee cups and ordered food for him and Carrie. He wanted to surprise her with breakfast in bed. He stopped long enough to drop a fresh flower on the tray.
Slipping quietly into the room, he noticed the empty rumpled bed, and could just hear the shower running over Carrie’s humming. He set the tray on the bed silently.
Walking her coffee into the bathroom, she immediately picked up the smell. “Coffee,” she sighed. She stopped the shower grabbing a towel as she stepped out to give him a wet kiss. “Thanks,” she smiled taking the cup and sipping the black warmth.
“Anything for my lady. Your breakfast is waiting,” he guided her back to the bed.
