Three months ago, the next day…
STELLA
“Hey, Steve.” I smile. Steve is sexy, and almost as hot as
Colton in many girls’ eyes. Do I want him? No way. Colton is so much better
than him. It’s like a turtle versus a lion, there is no comparison.
“I’m glad you’re here.” He smiles happily. “Let me get you
something to drink.”
“Juice, please.”
He runs over to buy the drinks and then sits down on the
other side of the table.
“Thank you so much, Steve.” I sip my juice and look
around. This small park is nice and quiet. Best of all, it’s all surrounded
by bushes and trees. No one can see what’s happening from outside.
“So…” He looks at me. His voice is so eager.
“All set.” I smile and pull out my cellphone. “Shoot.
What’s going on?” I dial a number and whisper, “Five more minutes.” I smile to
Steve.
“Oh, boy...” Steve’s eyes brighten.
“Come over here.” I smile to him, patting at the bench
beside me.
He comes over and sits beside me. I turn my cellphone a bit
his way and swipe the screen.
“Holy fuck! Oh, fuck!” His eyes bulge out like ping-pong
balls.
“Like them?” I smile.
“Sure.” He sits even closer, grinning big time.
I move my butt away, but he moves closer again. “Come on,
Stella…” He looks at me with eager eyes.
“Maybe you need a big screen TV.” I tease.
“Sure thing.”
“No, you don’t.” I giggle. “You’re going to see the real
thing anyway.”
“Like… this?” His eyes drop onto my cellphone screen again.
“Well, good luck.” I look around, stand up, and smile, “H-e-y,
J-u-l-i-e. We’re here…” I call.
Julie runs our way. Soon, she stops right in front of me,
gasping. Her monstrous C cups move up and down with her heavy breath. “Sorry,
I’m late guys.” she gasps. Her cheeks are all red from the effort.
“It’s okay.” I smile. “Steve, meet Julie. Julie, this is
Steve…”
Steve grins huge. “Nice to meet you, Julie.”
“Nice to meet you, too, Steve.” Julie extends her hand.
“I guess you guys met before.” I wink.
“Uh-huh.” The same voice comes out from two mouths.
Nice.
I look at Steve and whisper, “Good luck.”
Then I turn around and walk fast, leaving the park.
Boy, this spot is going to be too hot to stay.
I
grin to myself, shaking my head.
“Colton?” I’m so surprised to see my stepbrother the moment
I’m out of the park. “Why the heck are you here?”
“Taking a walk,” he mumbles.
“You don’t fool me a bit,” I say, raising an eyebrow. I know
him too well.
His face turns vermilion. Pacing back and forth a few
times, he makes up his mind.
“Okay, I’m not taking a walk.”
“You’re watching me, right? Why are you doing this to me?”
“I…” He thinks for a moment and then says, “Okay, listen. I
don’t want that asshole to get you.”
“What are you talking about, Colton? You mean Steve and
me?”
“Yeah.”
“You’re out of your mind, Colton. We’re just friends, okay?”
He shakes his head, saying nothing.
“What’s wrong with you, Colton? You don’t believe me?”
“We need to talk.” He stares at me.
“Sure we do. What do you want to know?”
“Everything.”
I shrug. “Okay.” I think for a short moment and then look
right into his eyes. “Look, I can tell you everything, but you have to promise
not to tell anyone else.”
“I promise.”
“And not to be angry with me or anyone else.”
He bites his lower lip and thinks for a few moments.
“Okay.”
“Look, Steve and I are
not
close friends.”
“Now you’re talking.” I see a quick smirk flit across his
face.
“But we know each other.”
“I know.” He was, after all, the one who introduced me to
Steve.
“Last week, he asked me to meet him here in this park.”
“He
did
?” His eyes pop huge. His facial
muscles tense.
“Yeah. Is it a big deal?”
“Ummm… no.” He fakes a smile.
Jealous.
I shake my head. “Look, he wants Julie but
Julie doesn’t want to see him.”
“Really?” His jaw drops.
“Yup. That was why he asked me to help out. We were doing
the planning in this park.”
“Oh.” His whole body relaxes. Crossing his arms on his muscled
chest, he smiles happily.
“Do you know why Julie didn’t want to see him?”
“Why?”
“Because she liked
you
.”
“What? You… serious?”
“Sure, I
am
.”
Come on. Please don’t show me that
dirty smile.
I roll my eyes.
Julie has begged me a million times to hook her up with
Colton.
“Come on, Stella. You’re not going to fuck your
stepbrother, right? Then why don’t you let me have him? Don’t forget, we’re
besties.” she kept insisting.
But I never said
yes
.
“But she agreed to meet Steve today?” Colton’s voice is full
of curiosity.
“Right.”
“How come?”
“Because,” I take a deep breath and look at Colton.
“Because… what?” He’s so eager to know.
“Because I told her that you’re no longer available.”
“What the fuck! That’s a lie.”
“Colton, you want Julie? I never knew that.” I smirk.
“Ah… Um, no.”
“See? I did the right thing.”
“What a nice girl. I owe you a big thanks, sis.” He rolls
his eyes, with no intention of hiding his disappointment and sarcasm.
“My pleasure.” I wink.
Right. I
am
a nice girl. In fact, I was so
nice, I shared Julie’s sexy pictures with Steve in the park. That was why he
got so excited.
“Oh, yes, Steve…” I hear a girl’s sensual voice. And I know
that’s Julie for sure.
Colton rushes into the park to take a quick peek. He
returns with a big smile on his face.
“You’re fucking turned on, aren’t you?” I look at him.
“Yup.” He tosses a few big kisses into the air.
STELLA
What’s going on? Julie and Steve have been together for
three months! They’re always making out, it was almost sickening.
How the hell did Colton get her to cheat on him? How could
he convince her to fuck him right beside my room?!
Does Julie have two boyfriends now? Does she need two thick
dicks to satisfy her?
Yeah, I know she likes hot sex, but she always has a one-guy
relationship, outside of occasional one-night stands, of course.
Is today another ‘one night’ for her? Maybe her and Steve
had a fight. If so, why did she choose Colton to have hot sex with?
Colton can answer all my questions, but I’m too scared to
ask. Not because he may refuse to tell me the truth, but because the truth can
be more than my heart can bear.
The hell. Whatever.
I wanted to keep Colton away,
right? Now he is pushing us further apart. He brought Julie, my bestie, back
home to upset me. And his dirty moans were so loud.
“Thank you for the great meal, Colton,” I said, staring at
him hard. I wipe my mouth with a napkin and stand up.
“You’re welcome, Stella.” He begins to bring our dishes to
the kitchen sink.
I walk upstairs. I know I should have volunteered to do
dishes, but I’m hurting so much, I just want to leave.
I guess this is the end of our siblinghood.
Wonderful,
Stella. This is just wonderful.
And Julie. She’s been my bestie since elementary school. I
thought our friendship would last as long as we were in this world. But today,
it’s over.
Once and for all.
I’ve decided. I don’t know what had happened between her and
Colton to bring them this close, and I don’t fucking care. Starting tomorrow, she’s
going to be a stranger to me.
Oh, well. I can try to be nice to her, pretending to talk
to her like any other girl, but that’s pretty much all I can do.
Funny. In one day, I lost my stepbrother and my bestie. What
do I have now?
Strangers.
This world is full of surprises, like it or not.
Time flies. High school is over. I was a camp counselor
all summer, firmly avoiding any contact with my high school friends and Colton.
Now I’m finally free. Free from high school, free from drama. I’m in college.
Our parents wanted us to go to the same college but we
didn’t want to. I ended up here in Bunker Hill College for my life science
program. He enrolled in Eastern Emerson, a college famous for his favorite
program, archeology.
The funny thing is, these two are ‘sister colleges’ with
many connections, from scientific research programs to academic activities and
fun stuff. For example, guys often come over to our campus to meet girls.
Believe it or not, they are on the other side of the same road. It’s that
close!
Now our parents are happy because we are literally
together. They can come to see us with one trip.
We are super happy, too, because without crossing the road,
we won’t see each other.
And I swear I will
never
cross that road.
“So?” Edie smiles at me.
I smile back, saying nothing. Edie is in her second year of
the life science program. We met the first day of college. Now she’s asking
me to join her sorority, Kappa Alpha.
She brought me to the house to meet all the sisters. They
were super nice. The food was gorgeous. The scheduled events interested me, but
I’m not so sure about this sorority thing.
“Any questions?” she asks.
Thinking hard for a few moments, I murmur, “Well, it’s just
that… sorority, I’m not so sure… It’s a Greek thing, isn’t it?”
“Sure, it has a Greek origin but now it’s for all the girls
around the world.” She stops for a moment and then continues, “Do you know, the
largest sorority, Chi Omega, has over 300,000 members around the world? And it
was found in 1895.”
“Oh, wow…” I’m so impressed.
“All the sisters help each other. They become lifetime
friends. And they serve their communities, too.”
I’m thrilled. “So… Kappa Alpha is like that?”
“Not really. We are small and we want to be different.” Her
smile turns mysterious.
I look at her, waiting for more information.
“First of all, its activities are full of fun and
surprises. Secondly, new members are by invitation only.” She leans closer and
lowers her voice. “Do you know why you were invited?”
“Um… no.” I blink.
“Because the sisters voted in your favor.” She winks.
“Really?” Oh, wow, I didn’t know that.
“Remember the time you were in the house?”
“Yeah?” The smiling faces and yummy food come back to my
memory instantly.
“That was when they made the decision.”
“
Really?
” What a surprise.
“Only a very small percentage of girls have ever been
invited. You will have to be the very best and be super lucky at the same time.”
Oh, my, am I so good and so lucky?
I’m overly
thrilled. “Sure, I’ll join.”
“You can apply, but there is no guarantee yet. The new member
process has its rules.” She leans back, smiling.
My heart sinks.
“And there is an application fee, too.” she adds.
“How much?” I do hope that it’s not going to dig a big hole
in my wallet because I’m so eager to be in now.
“Twenty bucks.”
“Oh, sure, no problem.” Boy, today is my lucky day.
Soon, I learned so much about sororities on the Internet.
As a bonus, I also learned about the guys’ similar organization—
fraternity
or
frat
.
