Dillon’s mind was on one thing and one thing only, claiming what was his and Camille was his. She was made for him, she gave him pleasure like no other woman ever had or ever could. He continue to move as he felt the tingling sensation work its way up his spine, his balls drew up tight against his body in preparation. He knew she was so close they would come together; he could feel it as his mind seemed to short circuit. He leaned into her and whispered in her ear. “I am so close Cam I want you to come with me now; I need to feel your juices flowing over my fingers.” He inserted two fingers into her core and it was as if he had set her ablaze. Camille screamed his name and Dillon thrust into her so hard he almost sent her head into the headboard. Suddenly he felt the jets of semen leave his body and Camille’s orgasm sent her over the edge at the same time, she came with a force that had her whole body tightening up, as her muscles locked. It was as if they both were floating on air as the white-hot pleasure washed over them. When they finally floated back to earth, they both collapsed in a tangle of arms and legs. They were both breathing heavy, their bodies drenched with sweat. It was long minutes before Dillon could even get his mind to focus his body was weak.

He slowly rolled off Camille and went into the bathroom. Camille was aware of running water, but she couldn’t be bothered she had just had the single most incredible sexual experience of her life. She was drained all she wanted to do was sleep. Before she could fall into a coma, she was aware of her body being lifted; she felt Dillon’s strong arms wrap around her. Before she could protest, Dillon kissed her deeply. As exhausted as she was her body began to warm. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. Dillon broke the kiss when he stepped into the Jacuzzi tub; he lowered Camille into the water and positioned himself behind her. She leaned her head back on his shoulder and sighed her contentment. Dillon slowly began to wash her body using circular motions up and down her arms and torso.
“That feels so good. Tell me what just happened?” she asked. Dillon smiled as he placed his head on top of hers. “You turned me inside out that’s what happened. Damn Cam do you have any idea what you do to me?” Camille sat up and turned to face him. He reached out and stroked his wet fingers across her jaw. He took a deep breath. “I’ve been running from what’s between us for so long Cam that I don’t know if I know how to do anything else. I still believe that you deserve more than I can give you.” Camille stared into his beautiful green eyes, his face was still flush from their lovemaking and there was a hint of a five o’clock shadow on his strong jaw. She wanted to look at his beautiful face for the rest of their life.

“Don’t you get it; you’re all I’ve ever wanted.  It’s just that simple even if you walk away. No other man will ever hold my heart. I love you Dillon McLaughlin.”  she said with so much emotion. Those simple words shook his soul; this incredible woman was baring her soul to him. Could it really be that simple? He searched his soul and realized that no other woman would ever due. It was always Cam.

He leaned in and kissed her tenderly. I love you to Cam he said barley above a whisper. Camille stared at him searching his face for any signs that she might be dreaming. She’d waited so long to hear those words. “What did you say?”  she asked trying not to sound too hopeful. Dillon smiled at her as he wrapped his strong arms around her. “I think you heard me. I love you, I love everything about you and I’m tired of fighting the attraction we have for each other.” Camille smiled up at him as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down to her for a soul-shattering kiss. When he pulled back, he gave her the sexy smile that made her insides all warm and tingly.

“If you keep kissing me like that we won’t be leaving this bedroom for a week.” Camille leaned back a laughed aloud, it sounded like music to his ears. He was happy for the first time in his
life; everything about her brought him such profound joy. Now that he wasn’t running anymore, he was going to spend every day of the rest of his life making her happy.

“Dillon, I need to tell you something.
When I got home I started getting phone calls, the person on the other end never says anything.” It started right after I came home. I have to admit the first person I thought of was Luc. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.

Dillon said nothing for what seemed like forever.  “I want to rip his throat out for putting his hands on you.” He reached out and stroked Camille’s face. She kissed his palm. “I hated seeing you with him.” he said barley above a whisper. The pain in his voice was obvious. She took his face in both of her hands. “My heart has always been yours. No one could ever touch me the way you do.” Dillon kissed her hard. “I love you Cam, I won’t let anything or anyone hurt you ever.” he said with such conviction. She knew she was safe with Dillon. She wasn’t sure if it was that thought or the water getting cold that made her shiver. Dillon noticed that Camille was shivering, there bath water was cold.
Dillon got out of the tub and made quick work of drying Camille off. He led her back to the bedroom and back to bed; they kissed and touched each other building the heat between them all over again. As badly as he wanted to make love to her again, he knew it was too soon. After losing his control and taking her hard he wanted to give her time. They had all the time in the world and he was going to enjoy it for once in his life.

“Cam.” Yes she said barely above a whisper. “We need to talk about today and the fact that I forgot to use a condom. You had me so crazy that I didn’t remember it until afterwards.” Camille opened her eyes and looked up at him. He was looking at her and she could see the regret in his eyes. She reached up and stroked his face. “I know, I don’t think I’m ready for kids just yet. I’ll make an appoint to see the doctor and have a pregnancy test and get him to prescribe some birth control. If I am pregnant then we will deal with it.” She saw the profound relief on his face. “This is all new for both of us and the last thing we need is to add a child in the mix.” Camille just nodded, and thought to herself, that when she dreamed of children, she always dreamed of them with him. However, he was right they weren’t ready for children yet. That dream would have to wait.

Camille feel asleep first and Dillon was content to listen to her steady breathing while he had his body wrapped around hers, soon sleep found him as well and he welcomed it with his woman in his arms.

Camille woke up to her stomach growling; as she turned over the most handsome face greeted her. Dillon was sound asleep with his leg thrown over hers and his arm was around her waist. Even in sleep, he was trying to protect her and she loved him for it. Camille slide out of his grasp, dressed in his oversized tee shirt and a pair of his sweats. She was hungry and she was sure he would be when he finally woke up. She would make sandwiches. She turned and looked at Dillon sleeping soundly, she was on cloud nine. Now that Dillon had finally told her he loved her. She was his, he was hers, and once the nightmare was over, they could get on with their lives. She turned and left the room. She headed down the hallway to the stairs. Even with all the darkness, she was happier that she’d even been in the life. Before she got to the head of the stairs, she sensed someone watching her. She turned and was going to scream. The sound never passing her lips. Suddenly everything became a blur. Camille felt her body falling and strong arms catching the dead weight of her body. Then everything went black.

CHAPTER NINE

“Dillon, Dillon can you hear me? I need you to wake up.”  Dillon could hear the strong male voice calling his name but it sounded so far away, as if it was in a tunnel. Suddenly he felt a stinging pain in his jaw. Did someone slap him across the face? He tried to open his eyes but they felt as if someone had glued them shut. The voice was getting closer now.  He tried harder to open his eyes and when he did everything was in a haze. It was then he realized that his eyes weren’t focusing. He tried to sit up but that only made things worse. The room was spinning and his head hurt like a son of bitch.  If like someone hit him in the head with a two by four. He laid back and took several deep breaths. “Take it easy my man. Zane’s going to get you some water. Just keep still.” Dillon pushed Butch away and sat
up; breathing deeply and keeping his eyes shut seem to help.  Zane was back with the water.

“Here drink this. Do you remember anything?” Dillon tried to speak but his mouth was so dry, it felt as if he’d been eating cotton balls, and his throat was sore. What did he remember? He remembered Camille coming to him and the mind-blowing sex they had. He remembered telling her he loved her and falling asleep with her in his arms. Suddenly his mind came back online. “Camille where is she?” he asked barley above a whisper. Speaking made his head hurt even worst. His damn eyes were useless; he looked around still unable to focus clearly.

Zane saw that Dillon was becoming more agitated. Butch looked at him and then at Dillon. “Will one of you tell me what the fuck is going on now?” Zane sat down next to Dillon and motioned for him to continue to drink the water he had given him. “The water will help, keep drinking. I’ll tell you what we know.” There would be no easy way to tell him. “We know someone drugged you and we know that Camille is missing. The details are still somewhat unclear.” Zane waited for his words to sink in. Dillon bolted off the bed. “What the hell do you mean she’s missing?” before he could utter another word, the room began to swim and he reached out to steady himself, but it was too late he went down hard. He was on all fours and his stomach wasn’t cooperating. The dry heaves were a bitch.

“What the fuck Zane, do something we need him vertical. He’s no good to us like this.” Zane shot Butch a look, which had Butch holding his hands up in surrender. Dillon managed to sit down and brace himself against a wall. He’s right I need to be at a hundred percent if we have any chance of figuring out how to get Cam Back he said his voice sounding more like a rasp. Zane bent down in front of Dillon. “I have no idea what you were given, if I give you something to neutralize it without knowing exactly what it is I could do more damage. I’m talking seizures or worst. I won’t take that chance. Whoever took Camille has about a three hour head start on us. I called Danny he’s on his way. We need to call Archer.” he said bracing himself for Dillon’s reaction.

Dillon shook his head which only made his head hurt even more. “No you do it, I don’t want Archer anywhere near me you know that.” Zane looked at Butch and then back at Dillon. “He is our only chance; he’ll be here in twenty minutes. So I suggest you play nice or you’ll be on the side lines.” Dillon shrugged and allowed Butch to help him up and back to the bed. “D man I don’t like that dude anymore than you do. I mean he gives me the creeps but he’s our best shot.”  Fine, fuck, Butch Xavier’s got her I know it. I can feel it. I let my damn guard down and now she’s gone.”  Butch knew better than to argue with Dillon when he was like this, he would wait till he was more receptive to tell him it wasn’t his fault. They all were responsible; she was taken right from under their noses.

Twenty minutes later Danny came barging through the back door. “What the fuck is going on and where the hell is Dillon? If she was with him how the hell did he let this happen? Zane stepped in front of Daniel blocking him from going any further. “He was drugged I told you that over the phone. That’s how this happened and you know as well as I do, it was the only way they got her from him. If he’d been conscious they would’ve had to kill him, before he would have let anyone take Camille out of this house. You know that so save the guilt trip.” Zane and Daniel were standing toe to toe staring at each other. Butch was ready if he had to step in. Daniel finally backed down. What do we know about what happened he asked through gritted teeth? Butch was the first to answer he knew that Zane’s patience was at a minimum. One more smart comment and Zane was going to shut him up, with a fist to the face.

“Not fucking enough, someone was able to get into the house drug Dillon and they probably drugged Camille to. That would explain why we didn’t hear anything. Zane called Archer for help.” Daniel turned and stared back at Butch as if he had two heads. Before Daniel could ask, the doorbell rang. He would wait this was going to be good. Dillon hated Archer, if he thought that Zane was dark and brooding than Archer made Zane look like little Mary sunshine. He was a strange man but very good at what he did, when he did it. He’d been a doctor in another life, before he lost his license. Now Archer spent most of his time walking that fine line between law enforcement and the criminals. He patched up the bad guys so they lived to fight another day. He also patched up cops who had their own reasons for not going to a hospital. Archer never asked questions as long as someone was paying, he just did the job.

“You did very good Trace, she’s lovely isn’t she?” Xavier said as he stood staring down at an unconscious Camille. “Yeah numb nuts you did go, but I could have done even better given half a chance.” Xavier laughed. “Yes I suppose you would have been able to do the job. With one exception, I wanted her in one piece. Don’t worry my little friend you will have your chance but for now I need you to be patient.”

Camille’s mind came back online when she heard an unfamiliar voice. She recognized two of them. Trace’s voice was one of them and then there was the Sheriff’s deputy Mason. The third voice was new to her, as the fog continued to lift she wondered why they were in Dillon’s bedroom. No, she wasn’t in Dillon’s bedroom. Why did her head hurt? Slowly she tried to remember but everything was fuzzy, there was nothing substantial, she could grab hold of. What was
there was an overwhelming sense of dread. Her head hurt so badly, and her month was so dry. She tried to calm down she had no idea what was going on but she knew it wasn’t good. She heard footsteps moving away and a door opening and closing.
