~Chapter One~

Raeve paced around the Arrival screen at Phoenix International Airport anxiously, waiting for the flight information to change from “in range” to “arrived.” The clacking of her boot heels could barely be heard over the roar of people coming and going. It felt like years had passed since she last saw Aidan, since she last held him in her arms and pecked kisses down the taut line of his jaw and over his soft warm lips. Now he was just minutes away from her, and that hot flutter of need pooled between her thighs. “What the hell is taking so friggin long!” she groused. Her lip started to tear from gnawing on it, and her skin flushed with memories of his last touch.

She had meticulously picked out her outfit after eighteen tries and spent the better part of the afternoon preparing his favorite dinner just to make his first night home perfect. The only thing left to do was
light the candles and uncork the Pinot Nior. None of that mattered right now, as her anxiety grew the longer she waited. Pacing around the boards for the hundredth lap, Raeve raked her hand through her hair as tiny sweat beads trickled down the back of her neck. Time felt like it had stopped all together as a cruel joke on her as she made another swept by the arrival boards.

Watching the screen, her heart tripped over itself when the board finally read “Arrived.” Letting out a low blow, she steadied herself, before facing the gateway he’d exit from. Her hand patted over her shirt and smoothed back her glossy black hair, as the other gripped her cell phone tightly, waiting for that first text from him. Her emotions ran rampant with excitement, happiness, and sadness all rolled into one ball, ready to burst from her chest. She only had five days with him before he had to leave again. This time their separation wouldn’t last for months, but for years. The thought of the time passing by without him turned that aching wound in her heart into sheer anguish. She secretly vowed to refuse
to show Aidan how much it hurt her to see him leave again. He didn’t need that on his conscious as he prepared to leave again to serve his country. No, she would keep a tight head and lock down those feelings until she was once again alone and able to release all those crystal tears that stood on a razor’s edge of spilling over.

The first text came, stirring her out of her reverie, “Hey sweetheart, just landed. Are you here yet?” Eying the
text, pricks of tears started to mist in her hazel-green eyes. Punching the reply button, “Yes, I’m waiting at the gate for you.” I’ve been here waiting for an hour, hoping your flight would land early so I could wrap my arms around you and smother you with kisses Her mind twisted around the first thing she’d do to him the second she laid eyes upon him. Jump into his arms and smother him with kisses, or walk casually up to him and plant a sultry kiss on him, the kind that begged for more. Holding her breath, Raeve prayed she wouldn’t stumble when she walked up to him. Being the world-class klutz she was, she prayed with every ounce of her being to look confident in her stride as she focused on the floor.

Minutes became an eternity as she paced back and forth on the edge of crossing the boundary lines separating her anxiety and desires. Stepping closer to the boundaries borders of the gate, Raeve’s skin flushed a deep shade of blush as she fretted over her hair again. The buzzing of her cell phone, made her heart skip a beat as another text came, “You look fine, sweetheart.” Cocking her brow, her smirk grew wider as she eyed the corridor he would be coming out of.

Catching a glimpse of a man with his eyes purposely purchasing a piece of the floor, he was working hard at his stoic expression while leaning casually against a pillar. Her eyes zeroed in on him, coughing to get his attention. “Nice, babe, you match the wall.” She laughed as he slid out from his hiding spot. The sinuous roll of his gait was like a hungry wolf stalking its prey. His eyes locked onto hers as his demanding strides ate up the distance between them in mere seconds. His lips curled into sinister smile, pretending he was a villain about to kidnap the town’s beauty for his own debauchery.

His deep laugh rumbled through his body like vibrations of ocean waves crashing over the fear that once resided inside his chest. His thick muscled arms wrapped around her tiny frame with ease, lifting her into the air as he crushed her body to his broad chest.

“God I’ve missed you, sweetheart!” Without another word, his lips came crashing down on hers. Like honey to a bee, Aidan sank deeply into her kiss, his greedy tongue slicing effortlessly into her mouth. She didn’t fight it, couldn’t. She’d been dreaming of this moment for weeks, and nothing was going to stop her from indulging in every second of it.

Raeve felt the rightness of being with him, staring into his beautiful ocean blue eyes, feeling his arms wrap around her for dear life. The entire world disappeared as she returned his kiss, locking her arms tight around his neck. Her heart thundered in her ears and nearly pounded out of chest as she hugged him tighter. Her lungs burned for oxygen that she willingly denied, reveling in the feel of his tight embrace. Reluctantly he
released her, licking her lips for one more taste. Slowly Aidan stroked her spine, turning her into Jell-o as she saw the burning need he held deep inside. She felt the desire he had for her pressed against her stomach. The heat of his touch, as his fingertips caressed the soft line of her jaw, crushed any notions that he wanted to keep his distance, if only to save his heart.

“I’ve missed you so much, my love,” she murmured. “Now what do you say we get you home? I think we have some things to discuss that require a little more privacy.” Slipping him an impish smirk, she clasped his hand, and intertwined their fingers while walking for the exit.

“Mmm, sounds perfect,” he growled in her ear, pecking another kiss along the soft sinews of her neck. Shivers skated down her spine as his fingertips grazed down her back. Her internal fire erupted from smoldering embers to bonfire in those few first moments. Tightening her fingers around his, her blush deepened to soft crimson and her breath hitched. Pulling him down for another kiss, she wondered if she would ever tire of feeling of those luscious lips pressing against her. “You could set fire to the rain, my love,” she murmured against his mouth.

Slipping him her favorite sultry grin, Raeve imagined Aidan sprawled out on the bed, hands clasped behind his head awaiting her. The idea of his body glistening fresh from a steamy
shower, lay out before her viewing pleasure, shot another fiery surge coursing through her veins.

“You’re the gasoline to my fire, sweetheart” With one devilish wink from Aidan, Raeve felt the intoxicating burn of fire lick up her body. Biting her lip to keep her intentions hidden, she couldn’t control the blush of her cheeks from deepening. “Don’t you forget
that.” The deep rumble in his voice vibrated over her heated skin, resonating throughout her body like electrical currents with each word he spoke. She could never forget all the late night conversations that had lasted until the early morning hours as they remained tangled in bed. She’d rest her head against his chest as she feathered her fingertips over the hard planes of his chest, talking about anything and everything. Aidan’s deep voice intoxicated her, as syllables slid off his silver tongue with the grace of sensual poetry in motion

~Chapter Two~

Watching Raeve from the bed as she brushed through her long black hair, Aidan finally felt a moment of peace. It had been months since he enjoyed the sweet hum of her voice as she sang along to whatever song she was listening to. Making another deposit in his memory bank, he drank in the sight of her twisting her hips to the rhythm of the music. Smirking, he couldn’t help remembering all the delicious ways her body worked him over with each new encounter. Her luscious curves were accented by her black satin nighty. It begged him to touch every inch of her supple flesh. Eying the piece of fabric, he was more than ready to discard it from her sinuous body and replace it with the feel of his skin on hers. The rigid length that hid beneath the suffocating confines of his jeans bounced in appreciation of the view as his heated stare nearly burned through the small scrap of fabric covering her petite body.

He caught her glancing back at him, under a fringe of dark lashes. The quirk of her smile and blush of her cheeks in the reflection made her look all the more resplendent. It was that same smirk she held while she served him dinner, and settled in his lap to distract him from eating. His stomach never refused a home cooked meal, but he was lost to hypnotic spell. A sultry grin spread across her face as she wrapped her arms around him. Slowly he inhaled her sugary scent, pulling it deep into his lungs. His tongue burned for one more taste of her, but one more  would never be enough. His eyes danced up and down her body as she finished her nightly routine, and his palms grew slick as every ounce of blood rushed straight down to his aching cock.

She was fire, and he loved to feel her burn. Picturing every way he was going to please her with a calculating stare, relenting even if she begged wasn’t going to be an option until every muscle in her body shook with sated erotic pleasure. His pulse quickened as he felt the heat of desire lick up his skin, making every muscle taut and
ready to spring free to lock her beneath him for endless hours of carnal worship. His mind raced, trying to remember every detail of the moment, storing it away for the long nights that awaited him in the coming weeks. She had no idea how beautiful she was to him. If all he had to offer her was a few solemn promises of love, and a few nights of unbridled passionate loving making, then he could die a happy man knowing he gave her everything he had.

“What?” she giggled, eying him in the mirror’s
reflection.  He marveled at the sight of her smile and how it reached her eyes and shone brighter than any star he had ever seen.

“Nothing, I just love looking at you. Does it bother you?” he countered, cocking the dark slash of his brow.

“Depends.” Sliding a quick wink over her shoulder, Raeve turned back to her image as she ran another stroke of the brush through her silky hair.

Considering that for a second, Aidan quirked a smile, ready to hear her explanation.
“On what?”

“On what you’re seeing when you look
at me,” she challenged.

Climbing off the bed, his six foot three frame was nearly double the size of her body and close to a foot taller. His gaze stalked her once again as he sinuously stepped closer to her. His fingers begged to tangle through the long tendrils of her silky hair as he pulled one lock up to inhale her sweet scent.

“What I see when I look at you,” he purred, his deep penetrating voice vibrated in the air, lingering between them, “is the only woman who has ever broken my heart and healed it. I see a beautiful woman who cares for so many, but denies being taken care of herself.” He stood close to her now, so close he could feel the heat building as it started to radiate off her body. Running his fingers through her silky locks of hair that hung casually down her back, he inhaled the sweet scent of her Jasmine shampoo. Standing a moment longer, he watched her eyes flicker up to his in the mirror. A beautiful blush flamed her cheeks, but she didn’t turn her gaze away. She met his fiery gaze with welcome and longing. Those twin emeralds shone like neon signs of wanting desires, ramping up his need to sink deep within the wet hot curves of her body.

Closing the distance between them, Aidan blocked her from leaving. His sheer size ate up the room, shielding her like a soldier ready to take a bullet for her. His natural instinct to protect Raeve from anyone or anything skated down his spine as he pulled her body closer. His arms slid around her tiny body, his chest pressed against her as his hard cock dug into the curve of her back.

“See? I fit perfectly, right here.” She winked at him, eating up the notion that his body was made for sin. Slipping her arms around his neck, her body arched forward, jutting the soft mounds of her breasts out. Slowly he brushed his fingers up and down her ribs until the weight of her breasts settled in his palms. As he seized her hard little beads between his fingertips, Raeve released a small mew of longing as she bit into her lip. His lips caressed her cheek. “I’ve dreamt of you every night,” he growled softly in her ear, sending shivers down her spine. Her breath hitched, as burning desire poured off her like waves of lava. “Wishing I could just hold you again, feel your body against mine.” Grazing his soft lips down the curve of her neck, his eyes zeroed in on the small indenture of her throat as she inhaled another deep breath. Her hazel green eyes melted into pools of liquid emeralds as he slid his hands over her body searching for more supple skin to touch.

Aidan’s supple lips grazed over the curve of her neck, one hand wrapped firmly around her waist, pinning her body to his, while his other hand sliced between her moistened thighs. The raspy gasp from her parted lips as his fingertips grazed over her silken skin sent another round of consuming lust shooting through his veins. “Looks like someone has been waiting for me too,” he drawled. The words rumbled through his chest, making her tremble in erotic droves, coaxing her legs further apart. His head dipped down low, pulling her chin to meet him. Raeve trembled breathlessly against his lips as he caressed hers, still swollen from his last attack on her luscious mouth.

There was no more need for normal, homecoming pleasantries. Capturing her mouth, his kiss grew urgent as he slid the thin silken straps off her shoulders; the soft material fluttered to the floor, splaying out around her tiny feet. Quickly he stripped off his shirt wanting to feel her warm flesh against his. His hands couldn’t purchase enough skin, as they skated over the delicious curve of her hips, and slowly grazed along her stomach until he held a handful of her supple breast. The tiny rose bead hardened in his palm as Raeve fell into his touch. Her breath rippled in waves as he thumbed over her nipples, swirling around the tips. A deep guttural growl broke free as his eyes captured the sight of her body flushing with need. His cock throbbed to break free, screaming at its tight confines like a banshee in heat. The desire in his body multiplied the instant her fingernails grazed his shoulders, as she idly traced the tattoo down his bicep.

There were no more words he could say, or words he could hear that he didn’t already read in her face as he stroked her with deliberate intentions. Her breath
shuddered harder as his fingers trailed along the cleft of her essence, circling the sensitive nub that throbbed for more. Reveling in her sweet liquid heat, the quivering of Raeve’s body echoed with the same burning need that his did. There was no hiding the desire that fed fuel to their fire. Licking her lips like a lioness ready to feed, her fingertips sank deeper into his flesh, holding on for dear life, as he dipped a finger into her inferno depths.

Slowly he pulled her back a hint of decadent sin pooling in his heated stare. His smooth warm palm cupped the mound of her breast in desperation while he continued to strum her core. Dire need to possess Raeve with every circle around her tender nub set the hard aching in his cock to torque to new levels. His eyes met hers, as more little quakes rolled through her body with each pass through her wet slit. His only wish was that he had more hands to touch her with. A rumble deep within his chest erupted with the feel of her arching for him; it was his favorite game to play. Bring Raeve to the brink of her sanity as many times as
possible before she clawed his flesh from the bone.

Unhooking her hands from his neck, Aidan spun her around, facing her toward the mirror. He wanted her to watch herself as she climaxed over and over again. Slowly he lowered her hands onto the counter, positioning her body for pure sensual torture. “Spread your legs wider,” he softly commanded in her ear. “I want to taste you.”

A pool of crimson seared her cheeks as she slid her legs further apart He stepped back to admire the view, as her face twisted in sweet agony. Watching Raeve anxiously squirm, he licked his supple lips with greedy desire to consume every drop of her sweet essence. Biting the supple curve of her lip, her eyes glowed with need, begging him to take her to the brink, as he made her await his touch.

“That’s right, sweetheart, just breathe,” he taunted, slowly sliding his hands up to the delicate curves of her thighs.
“I wanna hear you sing for me.

She couldn’t think
, could barely breath as she stared into the mirror watching Aidan take pleasure in her trembling body. Her naked flesh rippled with goose-bumps, as his fingertips grazed down her spine, leaving his lips to follow. She had dreamt of this moment for too long, her body had craved it with every fiber of her being. She stood there, naked and wanting in front of the mirror, her face flushed, her lips swollen, and her skin burning to feel him everywhere, as he apprised her with a sensual traipse of his fingertips feathering down her spine. Arching into him, she couldn’t hide the desire that screamed across her face as she bit down harder on her lip.

“I wanna hear you sing,” Were the last coherent words she remembered hearing Aidan say, before the rush of blood thundered in her ears. She knew there would be no lack of a cappella given the way her body was screaming for his touch. Her heart tripped over itself as it raced with
the speed of a thoroughbred running at the Kentucky Derby. His lips had barely brushed against the curve of her spine, when the sear of liquid heat started to pool deep within her body again. The aching tripled in intensity with every painstaking moment he took.

The brush of his fingertips over her sensitive skin as he slowly dipped one finger between the swollen folds of flesh sent her reeling again. He slid in and out sinuously as her silky essence welled up more for him. Gliding effortlessly to his rhythm, her body loved the intrusion as she rocked her hips with the speed of his hand. Her essence squeezed him tighter when he thumbed over her nub, flicking it with playful teasing. It started the first of many ripples as the veil of ecstasy began to shroud her.

“That’s right baby, just go with it,” she thought she heard him growl as her eyes fluttered closed to feel every sensation multiplied.

Before she realized his rhythm had slowed, she felt the hot supple flesh of his tongue lavishing her with penetrating kisses. Slicing his way inside, she arched
into the delicious feel of pure fire sliding inside of her body. His massive hands spread her thighs further apart as he delved deeper, taking in more of her. The feel of his lips grazing her delicate flesh sent electric shivers down her spine as she gripped the counter for support. Breath sawed in and out of her lungs as she tried to keep herself from launching onto him and riding him raw. The moans she knew he longed to hear her sing were brimming just beneath the surface, and each thrust of his tongue made it just that much harder for her to contain them. She knew his game, and swore to become a better opponent. She would make him work for what he wanted, even if her body disagreed with her.

She bit her lip and pleaded with herself to keep it all inside until the right moment, but it was futile. Each thrust and
every suckle of her delicate flesh, tantalized her more, coaxing the little betrayers of her pleasure to climb higher up in her throat. Her skin grew tight and electrified with every touch of his hot hands on her flushed flesh. Every sweep that his greedy tongue worked over on her grew stronger with faster, harder lashes, revealing his desperation to taste her juices as she climaxed. Taking her orgasm higher, Aidan slid his fingers into her hot wet essence. Her core tightened around his intrusion, pulsing as he delved deeper. His fingers were pure magic as he pumped her into ecstasy, lapping up every drop she could give him.

“Mmm,” he hummed against her essence; Raeve swam in the vibrations of his lips, ratcheting up her impending peak as he relished her core. “Say it,” he demanded.

Shaking her head, Raeve refused to give in so quickly. The glossy grin that shone in the mirror, painted a man that burned for her with a desire that spanned a lifetime. .

“Say it.” His gentle commands were her favorite part, but tonight she refused to give in.

“More,” she demanded. Her breath carried the raspy word as she dropped her head and stared at him through lowered lashes.

“As you wish.”
His fingers thrust deep inside, nearly lifting her off the floor.

Dropping her head further, her body
twisted and screamed for release as she clawed at the towel on the counter. His tongue resumed lavishing her essence while his fingers pumped in and out like pistons on a race car. Near perfect precision as he played her body like a fine melody. Her head swam in cloudy pool of desire, thickening with each flick of his hot wet tongue on her clit.
