Welling up the pools of her liquid heat, Raeve was on the brink of exploding as her essence tightened up, pulsating with every thrust of his fingers. Slamming her head back on her shoulders, she sucked in a ragged breath. Her raspy voice carried the sultry moans and mews he strummed out of her. It was useless to fight it, her body demanded it; her breathy voice climbed higher and louder with the first orgasm. “I want you, now,” she panted out, rearing back, her hazel eyes burned like fiery green coals.

“I’m not done with you.” He taunted, as he delved in deeper still, sinking into her body with greedy need as he lapped at the sugary sweet liquid, slipping over his tongue.

Raeve felt the delicious rush of ecstasy coursing through her body. Barely on the edge of sanity,
she couldn’t fight it any longer. Her moans turned to heated cries the higher she peaked, rippling through out her body in cruel torment. He was unrelenting as her body writhed against him, her core clenched tightly and with one final touch he sent her careening out of control. “Aidan!” she cried. Her body bucked harder as he pushed her to another peak. He continued working her until all that was left were the ripples from the tidal wave, he drove her to.

Slowly, methodically he brought her back down, panting and languid as she settled against the cool tiled counter. “It's not over, sweetheart,” he promised, licking his glossy lips of the last few drops of her sweet hot liquid. “Not by long sho

~Chapter Three~

Appraising her shuddering body and panting breath, Aidan, slid back up her body as he carefully pulled his finger from her smoldering, swollen essence, licking the remnants of her sweet, natural juices from his fingers. “Delicious,
”  his approving gaze seared her, “as always, my love.”

Her eyes could barely lift beyond a half-lidded gaze. Staring at him through a thick fringe of dark lashes, a look of sinful desire and fire burned deep from her twin hazel-green eyes. Her beautiful smile twisted as she licked her lips; sucking in air as her body cooled. His body ached, and his blood coursed feverishly through his veins, pooling with throbbing need in the long, hard stalk that begged to spring free. His body was as rigid as rebar as his eyes traipsed down her luscious curves. The soft mews from her descending climax ignited his fierce need to drive into her until her body was sated and limp. A guttural growl
deep and low, rumbled through his chest, making his intentions known. Aidan didn’t just crave to consume her in every way, no― he needed to possess her in every sensual way possible. As he lightly brushed his glossy warm lips up the length of her spine, she arched sinuously into his soft kiss. His hands wrapped around her body as he pulled her back into him. Caressing Raeve’s breasts with the flat of his palm, his lips pressed kisses down the line of her jaw. The dew trickling down her skin danced over the curve of his mouth until he found that soft patch of flesh to sink his kiss into.

Sliding her trembling hands around her back, Raeve’s fingers found the object of her desire as she feathered her palm over Aidan’s hard shaft, hiding behind a wall of fabric. Inciting another growl from him, Aidan sank his teeth onto the flesh of her shoulder in approval. Her greedy hands needed to feel the supple warm of his skin. Trailing up the length of his zip until she found the key to unleashing the demon inside, her fingers latched onto his belt buckle, carefully slipping the leather strap
from its binding. With one quick flick she snapped free the button from his jeans, there was no reason to hide her desire. The trembling of her fingers dancing over his zipper, heated his need to be inside her. He refused to let go of her lithe body as she forced the metal teeth down.

“Raeve…” he spoke softly, the deep tone of his desire skating across her skin. His hand trailed down her arm, meeting her hand as she tried to slip inside his jeans. “I’ve wanted you every night since I last saw you.” Pulling her hand free, he held it against the small of her back. Everything at that moment felt perfect, as he gazed longingly into the reflection of her sated eyes.

Releasing her, Aidan slid his jeans down his thighs, springing free the rigid stalk of his lust standing proudly for her. The length of him bounced off her shapely ass, as a tear drop of pure, liquid lust dabbed her silky skin. Catching him in one swift move, she stroked the hard piece of flesh with fevered pulls and tender touches. His body arched into her, appreciating the gentle and relentless demands of her hand as she stroked him with finesse from his sac to the aching tip of his cock. The fierce desire to consume her ratcheted up with every pull of her hand and he pushed deeper in her soft warm palm. It had been too long since he’d felt her touch.

Cupping her body, his hand needed to purchase every inch of her delicious soft flesh, his skin grew tighter the closer he climbed to climax. Biting down onto her shoulder, her moans of approval rippled through his body. She knew how to work him, and he relished the way she made him hiss and grow harder with each stroke, with each greedy pull.

Her eyes grew hot, her sultry grin twisted in desire as he stared at her through half-lidded eyes. Fire coursed through him, and he wasn’t about to let this go any farther. Not without feeling her from the inside as she peaked with him. Ripping her hand from his cock, he pinned her to the counter. Feverishly slicing into her with a hard thrust as her body welcomed the length of him, he felt her tight smoldering liquid heat swaddle him like a wet, tight hug as she moaned at his intrusion. Gripping her hips, he rocked her body with every thrust, her face twisted in sweet agony as he pumped faster. His hand grazed over the arch of her back as it slid up to her shoulder. Her skin shimmered with warm dew as he gripped her tightly, guiding her body down on him as she pushed back in a sinful undulating rhythm.

There was no thinking, only feeling. Feeling Raeve’s hot core swell up and tighten around his cock. Feeling her impending climax climb higher with each penetrating thrust, Aidan wrapped his fingers around the soft curves of her hips. Sinking his fingers deep with each thrust, he relished the feel of her quivering from head to toe from his touch. Slowly he slid his other hand down to her clit thumbing her tiny bundle of nerves methodically. His gaze stayed locked on her reflection. Aidan’s skin tightened as she tried to deny him and pretend she could resist his strumming of her sensitive knot, knowing she was so close. The softer he stroked her, the harder she bit down on her lip, fighting against him penetrating through her tough exterior and
exposing the delicate, feminine beauty she truly was. The need to consume her coursed through his veins, however the desire to break free the symphony of her ecstasy was his mission. The more she tried to deny him, the more he demanded to hear her cry out. Her skin was flushing a resplendent shade of deep pink as the tiny mews she tried to hide slipped through her lips.

Harder he plunged into her, nearly lifting her off the floor.

“Deeper,” she moaned. The sultry rasp of her demands as she sank her fingertips into the short length of his dark hair screamed she was on the brink.

Quirking a wry smile, sweat beads trickled down his back as his body grew feverish from exertion. Slipping his hand around her thigh, he lifted her leg up to rest on the counter. Spreading her wide for him and pulling her down on him with voracious need, Aidan rocked her body harder with every thrust. He wanted to notice the way Raeve grasped the edges of the counter for balance. .Some part of him wanted to convince her that he wouldn’t let
anything happen to her. Not ever. That he’d keep her safe even as he kept thrusting into her like a piston on a Japanese bullet train. Sliding his warm hand over hers, it was all he could offer her for assurance that he wasn’t letting her go.

He wasn’t about to relent. Driving deeper into her, the cries he longed to hear spilled from her swollen lips, rushing out as his speed increased. The higher she climbed, the tighter his sac squeezed. His head grew dizzy, as more sweat trickled down his chest and back. The heat of her body and scent of her arousal electrified the air with raw lust. Her moans grew to the highest heavenly cries as she screamed out. Her essence wrapped him in a vise-like grip as she rode out her orgasm. He drilled into her with fierce need, spraying his hot seed deep inside. Breath sawed in and out of his lungs as his body shuddered, and he gripped her body for support as his orgasm ripped through him. Her body clenched tighter around him, milking him dry of every drop, as he released a deep growl of his own.

Slowly the lights came back on as he slid down from heaven. His soft pumps into her wet core sent the few remaining orgasms to mew from her lips. Her sated eyes, danced up to his, as her sultry smile grew wide with pure love.

“I love you,” he panted out, while slowly pulling her back up to him and pecking gentle kisses down her dewy skin. Her body quivered with the remaining shudders as they slowed to tender undulations.

“I love you too,” she whispered, before curling her fingers over his.

Pressing a kiss into her hair, he gazed lovingly into the mirror at his love smirking back with her ear to ear grin. It was in those few moments of post-sex bliss that he felt his heart swell and expand like a balloon. He stared at the one woman who would free him of his controlled chains and love him for all he was. She was beautiful with her resplendent flush and messy hair as they sank down to the floor in a tangled heap, laughing and holding each other as their breathing slowed to normal
rhythm.

~Chapter Four~

Raeve nestled in close to Aidan’s warmth, his arm draped over her body, pulling her closer to him. His soft snore tickled her ear as he drifted deeper into sleep. It was moments like this she missed the most. In pre-dawn hours, when the morning sun awakened, peeking soft rays of golden sunlight through the last of the darkness begging the moon to retreat, she felt at peace. Their heartbeats played like soft music in the quiet of morning hours. Sleep had evaded her, not that she cared much. She had all she needed, wrapped around her at that moment.

Wishing she could keep him there, locked away from the world, tears pricked at her heart. She knew it was just a matter of a few short days before he had to leave again. She prayed this time wasn’t as long as the last. He had been her high-school love, and years had separated them. Though her love for Aidan had never faltered, she had tried in vain to deny it, but couldn’t and didn’t want to anymore. She had spent too many years away from him, and she wished on every star she could, to take back all the time she had missed with him. It had been her fear separating them, but that didn’t matter now. She had prayed every night for his safety, begging the universe to give her a second chance with the only love she had truly ever known.

Slowly her thoughts traveled back to the night of their first kiss, thirteen years earlier, when life was full of hope. The coy smiles they had shared, the silent tension that had magnetized them. It had been so obvious to those around them, and yet they had shied away from each other…until that night.

Raeve walked into the local haunt after having spent the better part of the day tied up at work .She lived and breathed for the animal clinic. So much so, she had forgotten she had a life outside of the clinic. It had been nearly a week since she last stopped by to socialize and shoot pool with her usual crowd. If she wanted to be completely honest with herself, work hadn’t been the only reason she stayed away. No, in truth it was because of him.

Aidan watched her with a hunter’s eye, every step she took and every move she made. The intensity of his gaze burned a
hole straight through her. It was there in the heat of his ocean-blue stare that melted her each time she locked sights with him. Blood coursed through her body, searing hotter when he walked by, leaving the rich scent of dark spices lingering in the air as he passed by. Each time she saw him, her heart raced for dear life, and her breath shuddered from her lips.

It had been two years since they first met. Two long years of soft conversations, shy glances, and coy smiles. They hadn’t spent much alone-time together, yet the few conversations they had shared only reinforced the burning desire she had for him. It had been as if the world just disappeared around them each time they spoke, leaving them to swim in each other’s longing stares. Just the idea of his eyes caressing her from head to toe had her flushing before she even stepped foot out of her car.

Pulling into the parking lot, she saw him shooting pool with his friends through the long wall of windows, laughing and talking the night away. Biting her lip she soaked in the view. He looked amazing in his ass-hugging jeans and perfect fitting collared shirt. His impish grin and gentle eyes ignited a flutter of butterflies in her belly. After one final look in the mirror, she fluffed her hair and checked her face for any make-up faux-pas. Her stomach knotted into a tight ball of anxiety, as she tried to fight off the feelings of wanting him. She had no idea if he felt the same way, but she needed to know. She couldn’t keep hiding away at work just so her constant blush wasn’t seen by him.

She had watched meticulously how he acted with other women, and how they fawned over him without hesitation. Every time she saw him there with another female clinging on to him for dear life, giggling and wiggling for him, she secretly wanted to puke and slam the bimbo’s head off the pool table. Then she realized the pool table didn’t need an extra dent in the felt. It was a scene she had witnessed too many times from the outside window as she walked into the building. Each time it got harder to walk in. She never understood why, when he noticed her
there, he seemed to push away whichever girl of the day it was that hung on him, in favor of being alone in her presence.

If they resisted and tried to recapture his attention, he just ignored the advances. It had always been the same, every time she walked in. He’d smile and watch her with intent eyes and ignore every other woman there. Why? Raeve knew he was desired by others, had heard it more times than she cared to admit, and each time it grated on her the way the other girls spoke of him. Wondering how amazing the sex with him would be or what kind of woman he preferred in bed. It sickened her to hear it. Each one took turns trying to seduce him and claim him as their mate. Each time Raeve heard the latest rumor of who was with him, it stabbed another hole in her heart. She didn’t understand why it bothered her. He hadn’t made any overt advances to her. She hadn’t heard from anyone in the surrounding crowd that he was interested in her, and still she hoped without reason that he had an eye for her. However, the sad truth was, Aidan wasn’t hers and she honestly believed he never would be.

She knew she wasn’t the prettiest, by far. Years of a less than desirable life had taken its toll on her. Scars decorated not only her heart and soul, but her skin as well. Raeve didn’t exude confidence like the others, she didn’t care for showing off to impress the local males, and hell, most of her guy friends treated her as if she was just one of the guys. She remained laid back and didn’t bother with the cattiness of popularity. Money was something she lacked as well, except for what she earned working herself to near exhaustion on a regular basis. No, she didn’t consider herself an ideal mate. Especially not for Aidan, yet every time he looked at her or spoke to her, her heart tripped over itself, and she flushed a deeper shade of pink, while her heart pounded against the confines of her chest.

His deep voice, even when spoken in a whisper rumbled through her like a herd of stampeding bulls as the words spilled out of his supple lips. How she longed to taste them and feel them brush over hers before he sank into the depths of her mouth. Raeve found herself wondering how strong his soft hands would feel raking through her long dark hair, and down her back. Aidan crushing her against his hard body as he kissed her senselessly, before looking deeply into her eyes and telling her he wanted her above all others. It was a stupid dream, nonsensical at best, yet she longed to be something more than
just friends.

Fretting about her clothes, Raeve pulled her shoulders back, sucked in a deep breath, and resigned herself to the inevitable truth. She wanted him, and she needed to know if she stood a snowball’s chance in Hell with him. The night was just getting started for her, and she had a feeling it was going to be another long night of nerves clawing up her insides.

Stone Temple Pilots blared from the jukebox as Raeve entered through the heavy wood doors. She was assaulted with loud voices, people shouting out hellos, the normal crowd standing perched at their usual tables, and friendly faces smiling as she walked past. The heat of his stare burned her alive as she stepped further into the room. Coyly she slid a sideways glance over her shoulder to see him standing there, rigid, his impossibly adorable impish grin splashed across his chiseled features. Her gaze locked with his, and damned if she could break away from the heat of his gaze. He took her breath away, but something seemed different this time. His gentle stare toiled with a haunted secret she couldn’t distinguish. He held his soldier’s stance as his protective aura radiated from him in menacing droves warning everyone to stay away. Raeve
barely noticed his friends standing behind him, laughing and staring at him staring at her.

A feverish lick of heat tasted every inch of skin as her body flushed in response to him. He overwhelmed her, casting a sweet seductive smile. Her body felt like lead, trapped in his gaze by an unforeseen force. Her heart thundered so loudly, it was a wonder no one within a fifty foot radius heard the sound. Her nerves twisted her stomach into knots as she tried to catch her breath. Closing her eyes against his heated intrusion, she said the only thing she could to snap her out of the trance he’d put her in. “He’s too good for you.” The weight of that thought settled over her, scratching and gnawing in her mind. Forcing her feet to move took more effort than she realized as she walked past him and down to meet her usual group of friends.

The day’s gossip was in full swing as she sidled up to the table. Hugs and smiles were passed around, as she tried to keep herself occupied. The last thing she needed was to get caught staring at him, again. Biting her lip to keep herself in the moment, it took every ounce of her self-control to keep from turning around to get another hazardous eyeful of him. Her palms grew slick as she balled them up at her sides. Her head could only stay in the moment for so long before random thoughts stole away her attention once again. Aidan was becoming an addiction, and dear God, she hoped to hell there was a cure.

“You know he watches you everytime you’re here. Ever notice he’s the last one to leave?” Shane whispered into her ear, holding her in an unusually long hug as he spoke to her.

“Raeve, that man wants you. I’ve watched him. I see the way he watches you, the way he follows you around with his eyes wherever you go when you’re here. That guy’s got it bad for you, ya know. He doesn’t leave until he sees that you’ve left the parking lot. He watches you from the window to make sure you’re all right when you leave.”

Pulling back from him, Raeve felt a rush of blood flood her cheeks
. Shaking her head in disbelief, Raeve wasn’t ready to make a fool of herself. Folding her slender arms across her chest, she considered him with a wary eye. “No, you’re wrong. She knew the truth. Hell, everyone in the place did. Every woman in this place wants him. They take bets on who will get to be with him. It’s friggin’ disgusting.”

Raeve couldn't help but notice the sincerity in his eyes as he nodded to her.
“No, you’re wrong, Shane. It’s just his nature to watch over people. It's who he is. He looks after everyone like that.”

“Bullshit! How do you know that? Do you even realize he watches over you the entire time you’re here? He doesn’t let you out of his sight. It’s like he’d jump in front of a speeding car to save you. It’s intense. Please” he softly pleaded, “tell me you see this.” Shane glanced back to Aidan. Raeve followed his stare and saw Aidan tense up.

She saw his jaw muscles clench tight and start ticking before he snapped his eyes away.

“See, he’s very protective of you.”

Raeve swung her head back and forth between Shane and Aidan, she hadn’t had the faintest idea anyone else noticed. Up to this point, she thought it had been her imagination, thought she was just overreacting, verging on extreme wishful thinking. Biting down on her plump lip, Raeve slipped one more glance at Aidan’s stoic expression and wished she had the nerve to go up to him and just tell him how she felt.

“He’d be good for you Raeve. He’s a good guy,” Shane offered, as he returned to finish his dart game.

The night carried on, and Raeve caught herself too many times glancing back at the pool table where Aidan and his friends where shooting. The hours passed, and the real contemplation of leaving was becoming a reality. Angry with herself for chickening out, she sucked in a heavy breath and told herself ‘some things weren’t meant to be.’ Reaching for her purse, she heard Shane’s voice call out, challenging Aidan and his friends to a game of darts. Her heart tripped as the leather strap fell from her shaking hands. A ball of nerves twisted and grew as Aidan finally wandered over to join the rest of the crowd for a round of darts and shooting the shit with everyone. Nerves washed over her as the tingle of his nearness shot down her spine when he stepped next to her. The scent of his natural dark spices wafted around her head, inhaling deep was enough to make her feel dizzy.

“Hey Raeve.” He smiled, that deep resonating voice permeating every cell in her body. Electrifying her in ways, that sent a rush of searing heat licking through her body.

“Hi.” Her fingers sought out her drink, hoping to occupy herself for a moment and focus on something other than his nearness. His broad
chest and smoldering stare suffocated the room, as the din of voices dissolved around them. “How’s it going?”

“Not bad.
You? Haven’t seen you around lately.” The gentle accusation made her wonder if he really had noticed her absence, or if he was just trying to strike up conversation. Her hands found the cool bottle a comfort as she twisted it around to keep herself from jumping into his arms and crushing her lips down on his.

“Fine, I mean great. Been busy you know.” Nodding her head, her words were slow to come, catching in the deep recesses of her throat. “Yeah, I’ve been working a lot lately. I’m saving up to go back to college. What about you?”

“Heading back to Fort Hood soon, then I might be shipped overseas…. So how long have you and Shane been together? I thought you were single.” His eyes stared hard into hers. The intensity sizzled the air between them, as fear of her answer hedged around the edges.
