Chapter 36

I woke up and the first thing I saw was Mitch’s sleeping face. He looked so peaceful and so damned beautiful. My hand traveled to my stomach and I couldn’t help but smile. In a few months my belly was going to grow and so will my baby. Our baby.Soon a hand was over mine. “We should start thinking of names.”I looked at Mitch’s beautiful eyes. “I don’t know. Why don’t we wait until we know the gender.”“Riley. I’ve always liked that name. Sophie if it’s a girl.” he shrugged. “I don’t know.”I hummed. “I like those names. But we still have a long time to think about them.”Mitch smiled and kissed my forehead. “I love you.”“I love you-woah!” and I was running to the bathroom.-“God when is all that is going to stop?” I groaned as I came back into the bedroom.Mitch winced. “I’m sure it’ll be soon. Do you still feel nauseous?”I nodded. “Most of the time. But you’re right it should be gone soon. Are you hungry?”“Oh I’m-” his stomach growled and he blushed. “Yes I am.”I chuckled. “What’s the mood today?”“Pancakes. I love the ones you make.”“How about pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon on the side?”He grinned and got off the bed. “You’re a goddess.”I rolled my eyes. “Juice or Coffee?”“Juice.” he scratched his neck. “Can I use the shower?”“Of course you can, feel free to borrow any clothing or anything you need.” I chuckled as he scowled at me.“Yeah ’cause I’ll love to wear your pink skirt or maybe that strapless black dress, I think it’ll make my legs look good…” he scratches his chin and I couldn’t help but laugh. God I love this man.“What’s mine is yours honey.” something flashed in his eyes as I said that and he frowned. I decided to ignore it, he seemed to be in deep thought. “I’ll be downstairs come as soon as you’re done I don’t want you to faint.”He managed a smile and got inside the shower.I pulled my hair in a pony tail as I walked down the stairs, I saw Maggie in the kitchen and my dad seating on the table.“Morning love birds.” I winked. They disserve to be happy and I wont be the obstacle. Both looked surprised at my comment but smiled anyways.“Oh Mitch stayed over, I hope that doesn’t bother you guys. I didn’t ask for permission ‘cause you where asleep and-”Dad stopped me by waving a dismissive hand. “Don’t worry Kells. He’s your boyfriend and soon to be father of your kid. He can stay over whenever he pleases.”I smiled. “Thanks dad.”“So what do you want to eat?” Maggie asked. I started to take out what I needed from the fridge and the counter. “Oh Mitch’s on the mood for pancakes and I want eggs so I’m making both. Is there bacon?”“Yeah, here.” she handed it to me. I mumbled a thanks and began working.“So how you’ve been feeling?” Maggie asked as she began to make dad’s French toast. God that looks really tasty…“A bit nauseous. Mitch said he’s taking me to the doctor to make sure the pregnancy test was right and that I’m not sick or something.”“I’m pretty sure you’re pregnant Keller.” Maggie said. I smiled. “Same here but Mr. Worry wants to make sure.”I heard dad chuckle and I smiled. We continued to cook in silence until Chad came inside the kitchen without a shirt on. I scowled but didn’t said anything.“Uh pancakes.” he went to grab one but I hit his hand.“Don’t touch.”“But those are more than you can eat!”“Well no duh! Mitch is eating some too.” I snapped.“He’s coming this early?” Chad questioned after I let him get a pancake.“Baby you’re strawberry shampoo smells great and that- oh er morning.” Mitch blushed as he came into view.“So my shampoo smells good?” I chuckled. Mitch glared at me and stood there awkwardly. I walked up to him. “Take a seat. Food’s
ready.”He smiled and kissed my cheek. I placed his plate in front of him and then the orange juice. Soon we were all seating. Dad on the head of the table, Maggie on his right Chad next to her. I sat across her and Mitch across Chad.“God this tastes amazing.” I swear Mitch nearly moaned.“Thanks.” I blushed. Chad shot an ugly glance at him and I threw a piece of bacon at him. “Be nice.”Mitch chuckled. “It’s okay.”I still glared at Chad, preparing to waste another piece of bacon.---
*A Month Later*
“Twins?!” Mitch and I said in unison and the doctor smiled. This was the third doctor we visited in a month. This was a woman, more respectable than the other ones we went to.“Yes. We can’t know the gender yet but in a couple of months I’m sure it’ll be visible.”Mitch and I turned to look at each other. “Twins.”“Yeah.” I mumbled looking at my stomach, you still couldn’t see my belly but I’m sure it’ll be huge anytime now. Mitch sighed. “I guess we have more names to think of, but I still think Riley and Sophie are perfect.”I chuckled. “Wow, twins. Imagine how my dad, your parents will react! Emma is going to finally loose it.”“Yeah, she’s already buying clothes and stuff.” Mitch chuckled then turned to the doctor. “Thanks doc, we’ll be here next month and the one after.”“And the one after that one.”The doctor laughed. “You both are so…matched.”Mitch grinned. “I know right?”I hit his chest playfully and we were going out of the doctor’s office.“We’re having twins!” Mitch yelled at the top of his lungs and carried me, spinning me in circles.“Congratulations!” a woman that was waiting for her turn smiled. Some people glared, some smiled and some also congratulated us. We’re having a Riley and a Sophie. Twins. I couldn’t help but grin and yell with Mitch at the top of our lungs as we headed to his car.----The next day I was standing on the roof top of Mitch’s house. There was juice on the floor on top of a picnic blanket, some things to eat, candles, roses and no sign of Mitch. Emma just told me to wait here and she left. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I swirled around and came face to face with Mitch.“About time I was-”My protests were silence by his gentle kiss. Gentle kiss that took my breath away.“You look beautiful as always.” Mitch led me to the blanket and we took a seat.“Mitch, what’s going on?”He poured some juice on a cup. “Its only fair that I drink juice too because you can’t drink wine.”“Mitch.”“I bought a house a couple of miles away from here. It’ll be close to my parents house and your dad’s house. We could visit them whenever we want…”“Mitch what are you-”“Its big enough for our kids, I mean they’ll want a place to play. It also has a pool and a studio we can fill with books or something and-”“Mitch!” I snapped. His eyes widened but he did shut up. “What’s all this about?”He simple pointed at the sky. There was nothing there. “Are you on crack?”He chuckled and shook his head. “Keep looking.”I did and suddenly fireworks were going like crazy. I smiled but that was soon banished as the fireworks formed two words: MARRY MESlowly I turned to look at Mitch. He looked really nervous. He cleared his throat and pulled out a ring, a beautiful ring. “Will you marry me?”I opened my mouth to say something but then shook my head. He panicked. “I swear I’ll stop hogging the bed covers and I’ll-”“Shut up.” I said and then I was kissing him all over the face. “God I love you. I love you. I fucking love you Mitch.”He laughed nervously. “Is that a yes?”“It’s a fuck yes!”He grinned and slipped the ring on my left hand on the fourth finger. “I love you too. Always.”Life can be perfect.

The ring looked beautiful and the meaning was even more beautiful than anything. Soon I’ll be Mrs. Gaynor. I couldn’t help but smile at that.
“I can’t wait to see their faces when we tell them.” Mitch grinned as he began to sketch.
I sat on the small couch inside his bedroom and watched him. Our parents probably wont be that surprised since we already are having a baby. But he’s right. “It’ll be amusing to watch.”
He chuckled and kept drawing. For some reason he wouldn’t show me what it was.
“Are you sure everyone is going to be here?” I asked.
“Positive. Ma said she called everyone, even grandma is coming.” Mitch said without taking his eyes off the sketch pad.
That’s annoying me.
Not the fact that he’s not paying attention to me, even though that bothered me a little. But the fact that he wont tell me what it is that he’s drawing and has him so concentrated.
“I have a feeling she wont be too happy with the news.”
This time he looked away from the pad and looked me in the eyes, it made me feel naked. I blushed but didn’t look away.
He smirked. “She has no idea you’re pregnant. But I don’t care if she doesn’t approve. I love you and there’s no way I’m letting you go any time in this life or the next. So she better deal with it.”
I felt suddenly warm and the urge to just hug him. “She might get a heart attack.”
Mitch closed the sketch pad and came to kneel in front of me. “Then we better call an ambulance before hand, just in case.”
Then he was pressing his head on my belly. A warm feeling spread inside me. “Mitch they can’t move yet.”
“So?”
I smiled at that. While he kneeled there, with his head on my belly, I stroked his hair, sort of like petting him. Mitch closed his eyes and smiled.
“I hope it’s a boy and a girl.”
“What if they’re both boys?” I asked curiously.
“Then you have to come up with a male name ‘cause we’re sticking with Riley.” Mitch turned his head to look up at me.
“Matthew. I like Matthew.” I kissed his forehead.
“And if they’re both girls?”
“I believe you’re sticking with Sophie so I’m going for Erin.”
We stared at each other for a long time. I felt like I was drowning when I looked into those beautiful green eyes. He was beautiful and I loved him so much it hurt.
He stood up and gave me the most loving, gentle, soft kiss that made me want to cry. There was no fierceness, no lust, no pressure it was like he was trying to show me how much he cared and loved me by being gentle and patient.
“God I love you so much.” I said as I pulled away to get up. I grabbed his face in my hands and kissed his forehead, his nose, his eyelids, his lips, his chin.
He seemed surprised at my act but didn’t say anything, in fact he seemed to enjoy the slowness and gentle touch.
We held each other, he occasionally kissed my neck as we hugged but nothing to have us craving to attack each other and rip our clothes off.
He gave out a long sigh and pulled away kissing my forehead and murmuring: “I love you.”
“Are you guys ready? Everyone is coming-” we turned to see a blushing Emma and on the verge of tears. “Did I interrupt?” she asked.
“No. Are you crying?” Mitch asked and pulled away to search his closet.
“Of course not silly.” she laughed. “Get ready.” and she walked out.
She convinced us to have this sort of mini reunion/party to announce our engagement.
Emma’s the only one who knows since I stayed over no one has seen the ring on my left hand.
Mitch began to undress and I couldn’t take my eyes off him.
“If you keep looking at me like that we’ll be late for our own party.” he mumbled without looking at me.
I blushed. “Just admiring your briefs.” I said a bit surprised. Never thought he would actually wear them. They looked really tight, wasn’t that uncomfortable?
I also began to undress. I ended up in only my bra and panties as I looked around for my dress.
“Hey have you seen the dress Emma bought me?” I asked while I searched for the dress around the room. Where is it?! Its not like we had some wild party and everything disappeared.
“You seriously are making it hard for me not to jump you and make love to you senseless.” Mitch groaned and he pulled the zipper of his black pants. “It’s in the closet.”
“How did it got there?” Maybe we had a wild party and I didn’t remember, maybe it’s the hang over. But I can’t drink and there’s no way I got drunk with orange juice.
He shrugged. “Don’t ask me.”
Maybe we had an elf invasion and they messed everything up in the room, that’ll explain why I woke up with a towel on my face. And the shoe hanging on the bathroom.
“Mitch did we had a party last night?”
He arched and eyebrow looking at me incredulous. “No.”
“Hmm.” then it was an elf invasion.
“Hmm?”
“Hmm.” I rubbed my shin and then shrugged and went to the closet.
I grabbed the dress and began to put it on. It was a pink/peach colored sundress, very cute. I went for flats instead of heels this time. I didn’t use any make up since I brought none. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and was all done.
“Are you feeling good?”
I turned around to look at Mitch.
My mouth watered.
He decided to wear a button up t shirt that hugged his body perfectly, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the first few buttons of his shirt undone. He looks sexy.
“So do you.” Mitch smirked.
Oops, I said that out loud.
“We had an elf invasion!” I blurted and quickly covered my mouth, but it was too late.
“What?”
“Nothing!” I said and looked away from his amused expression.
He began to put his shoes on and then came to touch my forehead, then my cheek. “You don’t have a fever and I highly doubt this has anything to do with the pregnancy. My opinion? You’re high.”
I smacked the side of his head. “I can’t get high you moron!”
“Then it’s the nerves because you’ve been doing crazy things. Last night you woke up and grabbed the towel then proceeded to place it on your face saying it’ll help you hide from only god knows what. Then this morning for some reason you walked into the bathroom and came out without one shoe. Something is seriously wrong with you woman.”
I blushed. “it’s the nerves.”
“Crazy and all I still love you.” he winked and pecked my lips then we heard laughs and voices from down stairs.
“They’re early.” I pointed out as we got out of his room.
Mitch frowned. “It sounds like there’s a party down there.”
We walked down a couple of stairs and we both came to a halt. The house was filled with people. Some I recognized, some I’ve never met in my life, there was even a dog!
Emma was standing near the stairs smiling brightly at us.
“I thought she said only family and close friends.” I hissed at Mitch, my fiancé. Aw that sounds absolutely beautiful in my head!
“Everyone you see is family.” Mitch hissed back. I turned to stare at him open mouthed. Now way. His family is huge!
“Welcome to the Gaynor/Callas family.”
Oh boy…
