Dr. Mike is a member of the California Psychological Association, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, and the Society of the Advancement for Sexual Health for experts in the field of sex addiction, and holds a certificate in Internet addiction. He completed the Betty Ford Center professionals in residence training program and has worked for the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health. He holds a doctorate in psychology and a master’s in counseling, marriage, and family therapy, and maintains a full-time license to practice psychotherapy. He currently resides in Los Angeles with Rocco, a Jack Russell he adopted from one of L.A.’s animal rescue groups.
