In less than a week they would be sitting by a pool, with the sun beating down on them.
After that deliberation she looked at the sleeping Chris beside her
. It would take more than a shit day to bring her down. These may have been the cards she was dealt, it didn’t mean she had to play them. No today was only a small bump in the road of her life, as far as she was concerned, she drove a all terrain vehicle and could handle anything it threw at her. She always did. She thought of herself as a cat, she would always land on her feet no matter what.
Lucy eventually slept, awaking with Chris’s muscular arm draped over her. It was gone 10am, she had turned off the alarm on her phone last night, there was no need now. Lucy opened her eyes to see Christopher gazing at her, his arm propping himself up, hand behind his head.
“Morning Cinderella, you’ve slept in, its 10oclock “he leaned into her kissing her exposed neck, “so what happened yesterday, are you ready to tell me?”
His smoldering eyes gazing into hers, she could feel herself melt into them caught in their hypnotic trance. She lay there feeling exposed, as she pulled the covers up to her shoulder. It wasn’t the fact that she was indeed naked under the soft cotton sheets. It was the redundancy.
She felt embarrassed to say the words; he would view her in a different light. And that was something she didn’t want. He looked at her, his hand now brushing the wisps of dirty blond hair behind her ear. As he did so he softly cupped her face.
“Cinderella, talk to me. What’s happened? Talk to me”, he implored her, as his hand moved slowly to her shoulder, and then down resting on the side of her waist.
“Look, what about some coffee” she nodded her head.
Chris slid out of the bed, throwing on the trousers heaped on the floor, doing them up as he opened the double doors and into the kitchen. Maggie came out of the guest bathroom armed with a buck of cleaning products. She knew better than to disturb him when the doors were closed to his bedroom. She had made that dreadful mistake once, many years ago when she discovered Christopher Harper under two young ladies, all naked as the day they were born.
“Good morning Mr. Harper”, as she averted her eyes from his shapely bare torso.
He could hear the discord in her voice. She made him feel like a naughty boy, he moved quickly into the kitchen uttering “Good morning Maggie”. As he returned past her, her now armed with a vacuum cleaner, she noted the two cups in his hands, and shook her head disapprovingly just slightly; at least he only had two cups. And he was gone, back in to his room as she clicked on the vacuum. ‘
Dirty bugger’.
“What’s that?” Lucy sat bolt upright, hearing the noise of the vacuum as she clambered for more of the covers. Christopher laughed as he explained it was only Maggie his trusty cleaner as he lay to two cups down on his nightstand, and crawled back under the covers with Lucy. As they sipped their coffee, Lucy found the courage to talk. Her cup perched on her knees which were up against her chest.
“I was made redundant yesterday” she casually said slipping it into the conversation, all the while she looked at him thru the corner of her eye to his reaction. Nothing, she relaxed.
“Yep, a good few of us were cut. So as from last night, I am going to take advantage of my situation and relax and another thing. We’re not going to speak about till we come back. All Chris asked was if she was okay? And she was….
Chapter 30
‘Insomnia’
Monday was here, the plan was for all four all them to meet in Heathrow airport. Rebecca and Jackson had traveled together after staying again since Friday night. Lucy had traveled with Christopher.
The two men stood there while Lucy and Rebecca jumped into each other’s arms with the excitement. Out of the two it was Jackson who went to shake hands first. After the initial meet and greet they headed off thru the security checks and to their gate. They were on the chartered jet and in the air in no time. 2 hours 25 minutes later they had landed. Another 15 minutes and they were out of the airport to the awaiting car when Christopher welcomed them to the "Gomorrah of the Med. Welcome to Ibiza”.
It was only a short journey of about half an hour and they were winding their way up, high on the hills to the most amazing villa Rebecca and Jackson had ever seen.
Set in the southern part of the island stood the large modern villa located in Saint Joseph with the most amazing south facing sea views all the way to Formentera.
The villa itself was situated in a tranquil, private and secure position, high on the hills and only 10 minutes-drive from Ibiza town, the beach and the marina. The fantastic modern 7 bed 5 bath, newly built villa on its own private land accommodated a guest house of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and servants quarters.
The architecture was clean and minimalist, with panoramic views framed in the floor to ceiling windows, the environment accomplished all desires with an infinity pool which overlooked a sea view. The views themselves covered the west coast to the bay of San Antonio. All the areas had been fitted with top end technical features and design.
The guest house was composed of a spacious living and dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms with its own bath in each and a very large terrace with a smaller infinity pool to that of the main house. In all it was a breathtaking property.
While Christopher showed them around the property, the staff took care of their luggage, having been instructed where to put what by Mr. Harper.
They all walked to the Guest house which was a smaller version of the main house. During the flight the two men had got on rather well, both having an interest in sailing, as they discussed this; the two girls were left to chatter between themselves.
Lucy started telling Rebecca of her redundancy news.
“So I’m an out of work bum” she laughed whispering in Rebecca’s ear while sipping on the glass of champagne that had been poured by one of the Chaps who were now in full blown conversation like they had been lifelong friends.
They girls were delighted the two men were getting on extremely well, especially with the common ground of sailing. Christopher showed them the guest house he went to one of the huge windows, with Jackson following him.
“And this is the reason why I chose this site. It’s only a 10 minutes-drive to Ibiza town, the beach and the marina. And that’s where I have one of my babies” pointing to the marina.
“Let me know when you want to go out, the girls can go shopping if they don’t fancy it” he winked back at Jackson knowing he had a comrade.
“Anyway I’ll let you guys get settled, tonight I’ve arranged for the chef to cook up at the main house if that’s okay. Tomorrow morning your own chief will be available, so if you guys prefer to eat on your own” he smiled at them both “just tell the chef what times okay”.
Lucy was floating around the background looking at the views from other areas of the house before rejoining them. Jackson, thanked Chris for his hospitality and a time was set for dinner. Leaving the two, love birds alone.
At 8pm local time Rebecca and Jackson walked to the main house which was illuminated by not only the house lights, but by the exterior lights placed strategically outside on the vast grounds. The meal was fantastic, and they wined flowed all night.
Chris had now moved over to the chair next to Jackson from the other side of the table. The two chaps discovered they had quite a lot of common interests, not just the sailing throughout the night
The two girls were now dancing in front of the open fire, wine glasses in hands as they swayed rhythmically to the dance music that was pumping out from the high tech system. As the bass line kicked in, the girls gyrated moving their hips.
Moving in perfect time to the music all the while the two men watched, their head moving in time to the beats. Both Chris and Jackson were quite relaxed in each other’s company, each looking at their own partners. Christopher leaned in to talk to Jackson as Lucy had turned the up the volume when declaring her tune was on. The two girls raised their glasses in the air as they bounced to the tune that filled the air.
“Yep, I think we’re in for a late one” he laughed as Lucy looked over smiling at him. Jackson could only nod in agreement.
Rebecca had woken early; she looked at the handsome Jackson Harvey lying in the bed next to her.
They had all retired to their prospective places that night.
Lucy had made her way over to Rebecca’s when she awoke, finding her on one of the sculpted sun loungers that were positioned by the pool. Rebecca had closed her eyes for what had seemed like only a minute. She had only opened them due to the huge shadow that had blocked the sun and was interfering with her rays. When she opened them, there was Lucy clad in her golden bikini looking goddess like.
“Morning babe” she threw herself into the lounger next to Rebecca. “Typical, we’re the only ones up, bloody part-timers we have. Jackson still in bed?” she looked over to the guest house and approaching them was Hunky Harvey
”Shit Bec’s I wanted to tell you how fucking gorgeous he is, but I can’t now” she laughed rolling her eyes over in the direction of the guest house. Jackson approached clad in a pair of black swim shorts that completely flattered him.
“Morning ladies” he smiled as he leaned down kissing Rebecca then taking a seat on the other lounger Rebecca sat in the middle like a sandwich. Lucy could only look at Rebecca, her hand fanning her face as she mouthed ‘wow’.
“Yep, Hunky Harvey is hot like the sun” she whispered to Rebecca out of the corner of her mouth.
As Rebecca shhh’d her. He stood up and walked to the pool.
“You coming in
,
” he asked looking directly at Rebecca with one of his smoldering smiles, and he dove into the pool.
While he was submersed under the water all Lucy could say was
“Sweet tap dancing babies, Oh My God Rebecca he is fucking hot!” as Jackson arose out of the water as though in an aftershave commercial.
“I’m going back to the villa to wake Chris up and get me some. If I was you, I’d get the hell in that pool right now with him and while you’re at it, get yourself some too. God, what I wouldn’t do to that man”. Lucy stood up; “I’ll see you two up at the house for breakfast at 10 yes?” and she was gone.
Rebecca sat up; Jackson was at the edge of the pool beckoning her to come in. She walked over and dove in to join him. A kissing session sending them quickly back into the bedroom of their villa, where they stayed until breakfast time at the main house.
The rest of the day was taken up with more sunbathing. Plans were made for later that night. They were off to one of the Super clubs called Space.
‘Space's outdoor terrace which opened up with climatic music at the start of sunrise. Clubbers would literally watch the sun come up as they danced, and where airliners roar overhead. This ‘open terrace’ and the roaring sound of the airliners breaking through the booming dance music had become one of the club's defining features.
