He caught up with her in the bookstore near the paperback romance section.

“I do not understand how you can read this stuff,” he said taking the book from her hand that she was looking at.  She looked at him in surprise and then she said, “I don’t often read them. I was just seeing if it had a good plot.”

Jay looked at the cover before asking, “If it had a good plot, what would you have done?”

Emily thought for a moment then grinned, “I would have cheated, and read the last chapter to see how it ended.”

Jay looked up from the book in astonishment, and he laughed when he saw th
e grin
on her face.

He shook his head at her as she laughed at him.  Emily glanced at him as he placed the book back on the shelf, and she liked the amused smile that played around his mouth.  Then she froze when he looked at her from green eyes so much like the ones in her vision
last night
; the green eyes that in her vision held such concern and love for her.  What did it mean, Emily asked herself as she noticed Jay was looking at
her
oddly.

“Are you all right, Emily?” Jay asked reaching out to touch her shoulder, but he hesitated before his hand could touch her.

Emily saw his hesitation, and she smiled, “I am okay, just thinking about something.”

He nodded his head as he placed his hand flat against his thigh, not realizing that Emily watched his hand and to her, it looked like he was trying to rub away the feel of her from his hand although he had not touched her.

Then Jay asked suddenly as she was about to
move
away, “When is your birthday?”

Emily looked at him in confusion before she responde
d, “My birthday is
on the 20
th
of next month
where as Sasha’s is on the 18
th
.  Why do you ask, Jay?”

“Just curious,” was his response and she looked at him again in confusion before she shook her head, and turned towards another section.

Her vision, she thought to
herself as she moved to the
section of books and noticed Jay walking away to another section, she must be seeing it through th
e eyes of someone he truly cares
about.  She sighed to herself in sadness, because the look he gives this person would be something that many would die for, and she wondered
whose eyes she was seeing him with

Occasionally
in her visi
ons, she would see from the eyes of an intended victim
instead of as the bystander although those visions meant that something
bad
was going to happen.  She would have to
pay more attention from now on.

Ten minutes later, Jay walked back up to Emily, “Are you ready to go, Emily?”

She nodded her head as
she
put down the book
she was looking at, and with one
last look at it, she started heading for the front
of the store.  Jay looked at the book she was looking and frowned as he read the title
Visions
: Are they real or imagination
.  He caught up with her as she exited the store, and her phone rung as he reached her.

“Hello,”
she sa
id turning to look at him as he reached her.

“We are leaving Victoria Secret, and we want ice cream,” Sasha said without any pleasantries.

“Sounds good to me,” Emily said before telling Jay, “They want ice cream.”

Jay could not help but chuckle as he nodded his head
although his mind was still on the book she had been looking at
.

She frowned and mouthed to him “Ice Cream Zone
”, and at his nod, she told Sasha, “We will meet you there.  Bye”

Hanging up the phone, Emily said, “They go shopping for lingerie now they want ice cream.  Man, I do not know how they do it.”

Jay laughed but he
ran
his
eyes over her body, and he admitted to himself, he liked what he saw.
He hesitated for a second then asked, “Why were looking at that book about visions?  Are you interested in stuff like that?”

He watched as Emily froze for a second, then she continued walking
as she answered, “It interests m
e very much, Jay.”  It was the only thing she said to him about it and he let it drop for now.

A few minutes later, they met
up
with the others at the “Ice Cream Zone” where Sasha had already ordered Emily an ice cream sundae.

Emily’s eyes lit up as she said sat down next to her, “Thank you” before digging into the dessert.

Jay came back with a chocolate cone, and sat down next to Emily.

“Found anything interesting, Emily,” Sissy asked.

“Or did you just make out with Jay,” the bleach-blond, Krystal taunted.

“Nope,” Emily just remarked before digging her spoon into her sundae.

The others looked at her in confusion as Sasha giggled, but she took a quick look at Jay to
notice the look of amusement on
his face.  Interesting, Sasha thought to herself,
and
then Mark caught her eye.  She blushed and turned her attention back to her ice cream.

“Hi, Jay,” a seductive voice said, and all eyes turned to a beautiful woman.
Emily noticed that she ignored the rest of them as her
pale green eyes stared at Jay with lust in her eyes.

Emily shivered for a second as she felt a cold chill go across her skin, and Sasha glanced at her with concerned eyes although Emily did not realize it.

Chapter 3

Sasha sensed right away
that
the newcomer
was another werewolf, full blood just as th
ey were.  She looked over at Emily who had lowered her eyes after she spoke, and she knew that Emily sensed something about the woman.  She frowned as she looked around the group, but her gaze landed on Jay and
Mark.  Mark was sneering at her
, and Jay’s face was impassive although his eyes held a look of shock before he blanked them.

Jay had tensed at the sound of her voice but when he turned to look at her, he realized in shock that she did not
affect
him as
she
usually did.

“Hello,
Victoria
,” he said politely, and Emily started to choke on her ice cream.

“Sorry,” she said getting her breathe back as Sasha looked at her with concern
again, and when
she caught her eye, she saw the amusement there.
Then her concern look turned into
confusion but Emily just shook her head.

Victoria
looked down at the woman and
from her
scent,
she could tell she was human, and
Victoria
dismissed her as unimportant.

“I heard that your father had decided to help you find your mate,”
Victoria
said
laughing;
“Didn’t
you
tell him that you had already find your mate
?”

Mark asked with dislike, “Now why would he do that?”

“Oh, Mark,” she said sweetly, “didn’t your brother tell you that I was his mate, but I didn’t know until it was too late.”

Mark snorted, and Jay said, “How is your mate, Victoria?”

She frowned at him then said with sadness, “He is not you, and I am thinking about breaking our mating.”

Jay looked at her in shock for a moment until he really looked
at her, and realized she had no
attention of breaking her mating with the soon-to-be Alpha of the Rain Cloud Pack.

“Yeah, I will believe
that
when I see it,” Mark said snidely,
and then
he got up, “Are you
ladies
ready to go?”

Sasha was quick to get to her feet, “I am.  What about you, Emily?”  Emily took the last bite of her sundae, and pulling the trash together on her tray she stood up.

“Ready,”
she said walking away to throw away the
ir
trash.  The other two girls
got up
and as Jay stood up, they latched
on to him fast giving
Victoria
a glare.

She just smiled, and threw her naturally blond hair over her shoulder.

“See ya later, Jay,” she called with wink as they walked out of the mall.

Getting back to the pack house, Emily and Sasha were the first through the door as the others followed more slowly.  At dinner that night, Cass asked, “So how was the visit to the mall?”

“Fine,” was the general reply, until Krystal said, “We met
Victoria
.  We were not told that Jay already had a mate, and that she had been mated to another first.”

The silence in the room was deafening, and then Sasha turned to Emily, “By the way, what was the joke?”

Emily looked at her for a moment then she said with humor, “Oh, that, I had just made a comment to Jay before meeting you about how you just were at Victoria Secrets, and then wanted ice cream.  It just struck me as ironic that
we met a Victoria not even twenty
minutes after you left Victoria Secrets,” she shrugged her shoulders, “For some reason, I combined the two, and to be honest I thought it sounded really silly for some reason.”  She frowned to herself, as she muttered, “I really need to get some sleep.”

Sasha saw her mom and dad looking at her with concern before Jay’s father began to explain
the
misconception of
Victoria
.

A
gain, that night, Emily woke up
in a cold sweat as her vision came upon her.  The same thing, a dark forest, someone chasing her,
a
n
evil laugh
and then green eyes that were drawing her in with their concern and love.
She hugged her knees to herself as she sat quietly trying not to wake up Sasha; she did not understand what it all meant, but the visions were getting intense.  She needed to find out what was going on,
her
mind immediately flashed to the lit
tle girl Michaela, and she frowned as
she lay back on her bed.  Now, w
hy would her mind go to that little girl?  Is she why are visions were coming so urgently?

Chapter 4

A few mornings later
, after breakfast, Emily headed outside by herself because Mark had stopped Sasha as she left the table.  She smiled to herself because she saw the blush that covered Sasha’s cheeks and how her eyes flared with emotion.

“Emily,” a voice said before running up to her.  Emily looked down to see Michaela and her kitten, Angel.

“Hello, Michaela, what are
you
two up to today?” she asked as she smiled at them.

Michaela smiled before grabbing her hand and pulling
her
farther into the backyard, and Emily laughed as
she
allowed herself to be pulled along.

Jay was in the gym that his dad had converted for him and Mark so they could have a place to workout.

“Hi handsome,” a voice purred and Jay turned around to look at Sissy who was dressed in a
two-piece
bikini.

“Hi, Sissy,” he said as he went back to the pouching bag in front of him.  As his dad always told him and Mark, just because they were werewolves did not mean that they should not learn to fight in their human form.
Learning to fight in their human
form
also helped
their wolf to enhance the abilities that they already had.

“I was planning
on going for
a swim,” she said sashaying across the room, “would you like to join me?”

“Sounds like fun to m
e,” another voice said from the doorway, and Jay glanced
up
with a scowl at another interruption to see Sasha standing there with
a
frown on her face as Mark stood behind her with a smirk.

“We
should invite
Krystal and your sister
to join us?  By the way, where is your sister, Emily, right?” Mark asked as she turned around and glared furiously at him.  Jay turned back to the punching bag to hide his smile, and Sissy noticing
it smiled smugly as she realized
one more out of the running as his mate.

“Yes, her name is Emily,” Sasha growled at him, “and she is playing with Michaela right now.”
