t was Valentines Day. I woke up early. We had a holiday in our school. I thought of proposing to Sandhya that day. How romantic it would be!

My parents were also not at home that day. So I thought of arranging a Valentines Day party at my place for all my friends and decided to propose Sabdhya in that party.

Ishant came to my place to play. Even he was not able to finish the game.

“I was just trying ok lets, play another game” Ishant said.

“Hey today I thought that I will keep a party at my house of Valentines Day and I am calling all the friends of our school” I said.

“Did you call them?” Ishant asked me.

“No not till now” I replied.

“Then lets call everyone” Ishant said.

“Yes let’s message every one and invite them to my house” I said by.

I and Ishant messaged everyone. I told my maid about the party and sent her in the market to arrange for it.

After a while everything was ready for the party. We both also got ready for the party. The invitees started coming. Most of them had come with their boyfriends or girlfriends. Nisha also came and her eyes were searching for Ishant.

“Hey look who came I think Nisha is searching you there” I said to Ishant with a smile. Ishant went near Nisha and they kissed each other. Then after sometime Sandhya came. She was looking so attractive. She came to me and we were just talking. Sandhya went to Nisha and then she was talking there and then Ishant came with me and then we went to other friends.

I went to Sandhya and called her outside the house. She came with me.

“Hey what happened?” Sandhya asked.

“I just called you to talk” I said by looking at Sandhya.

“Then say” Sandhya replied

I just looked into her beautiful eyes and took a long breath.

“Sandhya you are looking so beautiful today and I want to say that, that I LOVE YOU Sandhya and I love you from my pure heart. Sandhya do you love me” I said with my serious voice to her.

“Sandip I am sorry I can’t accept your proposal. I don’t love you and please from today it will be better if we don’t keep any relation between us” Sandhya said with her sad voice.

She started walking away.

“Sandhya wait” I said.

“Don’t follow me” Sandhya replied.

I was standing there. Divested. Broken. Crying out load. It’s the worst pain to love someone truly and not to be loved by them in return. Celina came towards me.

“I saw everything just now. I knew that she will not love you. I was going to tell you that. But I thought that you would not believe me and our friendship may break” Celina said to me.

“Why did it happen to me and why did Sandhya leave me?” my eyes full with tears and I said to Celina.

“Nothing will happen by telling all this things now” Celina said to me with smile. Celina caught my shoulders and hugged me.

“Don’t be sad Sandip I am there with you” Celina said.

“Thanks Celina” I replied.

“Hey Sandip where is Sandhya” Nisha asked me.

“She went to her house” I replied.

“Why so fast” Nisha asked. I told her all the things what had happened.

“Don’t worry friend I promise you that she will be surly return to you because I know that she loves you. But I have today noticed her that she was not happy as she was before with you” Nisha said.

“Yah I had also seen that but I don’t know why it was and it is none of my business. Thanks for saying this but I think she will never return to me”

“But I will try to return Sandhya in your life again” Nisha said.

“Thanks” I replied.

“Hey Sandip good night” Celina said to me while she was going.

All my friends went. I called Gig.

“Hey Gig please help me on my and Sandhya’s love. It has got a breakup” I said in a creaking voice.

“How did it happen?” Gig asked me. I told him all the things that had happened between us.

“Keep loving her” Gig said to me.

“I love her Gig. But I know she wont return now” I said almost crying.

“When you love someone truly don’t expect love from them, just keep on loving them” Gig said.

I tried to sleep that night. But I couldn’t. Sandhya’s thoughts filled my mind. I was feeling guilty about breaking my friendship with Sandhya. I was broken.

he next morning I woke up but I didn’t want to go to the school. But alas! I had to attend school. Last night was still fresh in my mind. Now I had only one motive in going to school and that was to again make up my friendship with Sandhya. Will she accept me again in her life?

I got ready and went to school.

“Hey Sandip yesterdays party was very interesting for all of us but why you are so sad and not smiling like you usually do” David asked.

“Nothing has happened” I replied.

“Yes something has happened so today you are in this sad mood hey Sandip we are also your friend you can tell us what happened and may be we can help you” Ranjit said by looking at me.

“No one of you can help me in this but still if you want to listen then listen, yesterday I had proposed to Sandhya and she said she doesn’t like me and also she said not to be friends with her” I said.

“Then I think you should say sorry to her.” Veer said.

“But how could I tell her that. She told me even not to come her near” I said.

“You will have to try now to again befriend Sandhya. Don’t tell this to anyone in school. It may create problems for you later on.

“Yes I will not tell anyone” I said.

Then we all reached near where Sandhya waited for me but today she was not there now my heart broke into pieces which could never be joined.

“Hey Sandip you tell her in the school whatever you want to say and don’t take these things so hard in your mind friend” David said to me.

I reached my classroom and saw Sandhya. I saw her. I went near her but as soon as she saw me she walked away. I understood that she doesn’t want to talk to me. I had tears in my eyes. Nisha saw me and came near me.

“Hey Sandip why are you crying? All the class students are looking at you.

“I am there with you yar. I have told you that I will bring Sandhya back in your life. Trust me.” Nisha spoke in a promising tone.

I was completely shattered. Sandhya had exchanged her seat with some other girl to stay away from me.

“Hey Sandip you know that Sandhya doesn’t love you then why are you going behind to her” Celina said me.

“Because she is my first and last love and I will never leave her” I said.

“Ahhhh you are thinking about her in this way I think you don’t know what she thinks about you” Celina replied.

“What does she thinks about me” I asked by looking at Celina.

“Ok I will tell you but not now. I will call you today. Hey Sandip don’t worry I am with you” she smiled and said.

“Hey Sandhya listen to me listen” I said to Sandhya.

Sandhya walked towards her car without even taking any note of me.

“Hey mom when did you came” I said to my mom with a smile when she opened the door.

“Just two hours before” she replied. I came inside the house.

“How were your classes today” my mom asked.

“Not too good” I said. I went to my room.

“Mom I don’t want to eat food” I said from my room.

“Why you don’t want to eat?” she asked.

“No, mom just I don’t want to eat” I said. I was just waiting for the call from Celina.

“Hey Sandip what are you doing” Celina said.

“I was waiting for your call. Now you say what you wanted to say to me about Sandhya” I asked her.

“Ok then listen, Sandhya is not a good girl for you because she just wants profit from you and she doesn’t like you also a percent.” Celina said.

“No I don’t think she is like that” I replied.

“Now it is your choice to believe on me or not. Now if you want her back you will never get her. She has done this with many other guys.” she said.

“I can’t believe you. Sandhya will never do these things” I said.

“Now as I said you listen me or not but I am saying that I am always with you and I know you will soon believe me and be my good friend” Celina said.

“Ok”

“Ok then bye” I said.

“Ok bye I will be waiting for your message” she said.

I took my phone and sent Celina a message

“Hey Celina I beliv u and u wer rit”

Then by writing this much I sent this message to her then after a while Celina sent me the reply that

“I knew tht u wil beliv me and I am with u

Don”t be sad”

“Hey guys from today don’t talk about Sandhya to me” I said looking at all my friends.

“Why?” they said.

“Because I know that she will not come to me and so I am also trying to forget her forever and ever from my life” I said.

Then we reached to the school then I reached near to Celina.

“Hey Sandip you sit on this side so that we can talk” Celina said.

Then I took my bag and then I went to her side everything was changed. I was trying to forget Sandhya from my life but to erase a love one from the heart is very hard.

I was normal now. My days were going quite well. Sandhya was not with me but I and Celina had become good friends.

t was a new day a morning. In the assembly it was announced that today the time table for the exam will be given by the class teacher and there will be the selection of quiz competition.

In the class the class teacher gave us the timetable. Exam was in the next two days. I was totally prepared for the exam this time as I had promised to Sandhya.

“Hey Sandip are you prepared for the exam?” Celina asked me.

“Yes I am fully prepared and are you?” I asked her.

“Yes I am also prepared” she replied.

Today also I didn’t get even a single chance to talk to Sandhya. The English lecture was off that day. Some seniors came to our class and made an announcement for the quiz competition.

“Those students who want to participate in the quiz compotation they can stand give their names” one of the student of the higher class said.

I stood up and with me two or three students stood up. We gave them our names.

“The quiz will be held on the day of the last examination” one of the student of the higher class told.

“Hey Sandip you will participate in quiz?” Celina asked me.

“Yes why not” I replied.

“It will be very hard and how will you manage in both, also in exam and quiz” Celina asked me.

“I will manage it” I said.

I came home and started studying after having my lunch.

Next day in the school also we all were revising the syllabus for the exams. I wished everyone best of luck. Celina came to me and gave me a red rose and a greeting card wishing me good luck for the exams.

fter coming back home I decided to wish all my friends all the very best for the exams. So I texted everyone. This time I thought of messaging Sandhya also. Almost all of my friends replied to my message. But there was no reply from Sandhya. Celina was right that Sandhya was with me just for the profit I thought.

Escaping her thoughts I again concentrated on my studies. While sleeping I once again checked for a reply from Sandhya but alas! There was no reply whatsoever from her side.

“Son best of luck for the exam” my mom said while I was leaving for school the next day..

When I got the question paper in my hand I went through it and found out that it was a rather very easy paper. I knew answers to all the questions.

Just like my first science paper, all the other exams went off quite well. The credit of my examination went to Sandhya. She was the one who had told me to work hard.

As announced earlier we had our quiz competition after the exam. Everyone assembled on the ground. To my utter surprise I won the quiz contest. Everyone was very happy for me. All my friends and teachers congratulated me.

“Hey congratulations for getting the first prize” Celina said. “Thanks” I said.

“I think this time your examination also went very well” Celina asked.

“Yes I think this is all because of Sandhaya who thought me to try hard in my life never to give up” I said.

Celina got angry by my statement and left from there.

“Hey what’s this trophy for?” my driver asked.

“It’s my quiz first prize” I replied.

“How was your exam?” he again asked.

“I think this time it was fantastic” I again replied.

“Hey Sandip did you chang your girlfriend?” my drive asked.

“Yes but how do you know?” I said.

“Because unlike your first girlfriend, your second girlfriend keeps on wandering near you” he teased me.

“Will you not kiss her this time?” the driver said.

“No, you first take me to the house it will be better” I said to the driver.

I reached my house and knocked at the door. The maid opened the door. I came in.

“Mom and dad didn’t come back yet?” I asked looking at the maid.

“No” she replied.

“Hey I am proud of you my son that you brought this trophy” my dad said with a smile on his face. Mom said the same. Both were happy.

“You should make us happy also through your examination results” my mom said.

“Yes mom why not this time I will” I said by looking at her.

“Ok then we will see” she said.

I went to my room and started playing games on my laptop. My cell phone beeped. It was a text from Nisha.

“Hey Sandip I think Sandhya realize her

Mistake and she told me that she also loves u

And now she is asking u sorry 4 it”

After reading this message I was not happy at all I gave a reply to Nisha

“Hey Nisha now I don’t lik Sandhya also

I think she will never realize her mistake

And now I am in love with another girl and

I think she also loves me”

In sometime I got a text from Sandhya

“Hey Sandip I am sorry for what had happened

Before but I love you still please don”t leave me

And that time I didn’t say I love you because of some

Misunderstanding so forgive m

I didn’t reply to her message. In a while I got another message from her.

“Hey Sandip I am waiting for you reply once again

I am sorry”

I wrote a reply to her that

“U, don’t disturb me and don’t send me any message”

After that I didn’t receive any message from her and even I didn’t text her. I was thinking about Celina. I thought that I had fallen in love with her. I wanted to call her up but there was no network in my cell. I was missing her.

Next day was a holiday and on Monday we were going to get our papers. I decided that if I get 95% I will take Celina out on a date.
