Eric mutters whilst clicking away on his
laptop computer.
 

             
It is the longest two fucking
minutes of my life.
 
I want that address

“Right David I have the address, I
will text you it now, and you can get on your way to getting your girl
back.
 
And David

careful will you.
 
You don’t know what
this guy is capable of.
 
If he has taken
Tania then he is obviously unhinged.

Eric states.
 
That is the most concern Eric has ever shown

He must realise that this is

My cell phone vibrates and I open
the text message that Eric has sent.

I am so glad that Eric has come through
for me, Tania means the world to me now and if all goes to plan I have every

I find my jeep and jump
in,
I start the engine and fling it into reverse in record
time.
 
My tyres screech as I pull out of
the underground garage, I am in no mood for driving carefully, the love of my
life could be holding onto her life by the skin of her teeth.
 

             
I make my way across town to where
the shit stain lives.
 
The drive seems to
take me longer than I anticipated.

pass several cars as I speed through the interstate. I am going fast enough to
warrant a police car chase but I honestly don’t give a shit I need to sort this
crap out now.
 
The longer it takes to
reach Tania the more my thoughts are spiralling out of control, I need to get a
handle on my emotions otherwise I will end up killing Pierce.
 
The last thing I want for Tania is having me
in prison for a murder charge.
 

             
I finally pull up at Pierce’s, I
take a few deep breathes to control myself and flex my knuckles.
 
I didn’t realise I was gripping the steering
wheel so hard, all the blood seems to have drained out of my hands.
 
Shit,
calm the hell down David.
 
Yes this is
important but you need to have a controlled head on you.
 
Eric is right fuck knows what this guy has in
mind or what he is capable of.

             
I step out of my jeep and stare at
the rundown house that stands in front of me.
 
I take a deep breath, if only I had a weapon of some sort but I don’t so
I am going to have to play this all by ear.

             
Shitting Bollocks!

             
I circle around the house weighing
up the level of danger that may pose a threat to me breaking in.
 
There seems to be no immediate threat just as
that thought has escaped from my clogged up brain I hear the shouting and
screaming of Tania.
 
Shit that bastard had her all along.
 
I fucking knew it!!

             
I can’t afford
to wait any longer by the sounds of it there is some serious shit going down in
there.
 
I run back towards the front
entrance of the house and try the front door, but of course the door is locked.
 
You
stupid fucker why the hell would you actually think it was open.

             
I ram the mahogany door in with my
shoulder,
the door was pretty fucked anyway so it
didn’t take all my force to knock it off its hinges.
 
I push my way past the broken door and rush
into what looks like the lounge area of the house.
 
There is no sign of them so I head through
all the other downstairs rooms and I come up with the same thing, nothing.
 
Suddenly, I hear the sound of heavy footsteps
in what I can only assume is one of the bedrooms upstairs.
 

             
I head for the stairs and take
them two at a time.
 
Once I get to the
top I stop and glance ahead of me, just incase the bastard comes at me from
behind or surprises me from somewhere.
 
A
door is slammed and
its comes
from the third bedroom
on the left.
 
I slowly inch closer and
closer to the room in question.
 
I am
breathing heavily at this point as I really don’t know what I am going to do to
get Tania back in my arms without this guy going all Norman Bates on us.
 

                               
I
open the door very slowly whilst I take in the scene in front of me.
 
There is no furniture in the room, and Tania
is in the corner of the bedroom tied up with ropes and duct tape covering her
mouth.
 
That son of a bitch.
 
There is no sign of Pierce but I know that he
is in here, I heard him slam the door.
 
I
edge into the room and close the door behind me very quietly.
 
Tania starts shaking her head viciously to
indicate to me that he is in here and he wishes to hurt me.
 
Well
David it’s time to bring your game, Pierce is going to be very fucking sorry he
fucked with me.

                  
Suddenly
Pierce shoots out of a cupboard across the room, god he looks rough.
 
He obviously hasn’t slept in days and has
facial hair that hasn’t been shaved in at least five days.
 
He comes directly at me, managing to get in a
swift punch to the stomach and the jaw.
 
I fall back onto one knee and grasp my stomach momentarily whilst I
catch my breath.
 
This guy means business today.

                  
“No
you didn’t expect that did you pretty boy?
 
Taking my girl away from me, not on my fucking time you don’t.
 
I am in love with Tania and if some jock
thinks he come along and just take her after two years then you have another
thing coming.” Pierce laughs whilst he talks and I can tell that the guy has
now gone postal.
 
He is maniacal and he won’t
stop at anything to keep Tania away from me.
 
Shit what am I going to do?

                  
“Look
Pierce I know you are angry about what happened but it wasn’t planned or
anything.
 
Nothing you do will change the
fact that I love Tania and Tania loves me.
 
Nothing will ever stand in the way of true love, you have to see
that.”
 
I really need to make my move now
otherwise I am going to be dealing with a lunatic wanting to kill us both.
 

                  
I
spring off my knees and give Pierce another smack in the jaw.
 
Good that should break it again.
 
I grab his arm and twist it up his back and
tackle him to the floor.
 
I place my foot
on top of his head with just enough pressure to stop him from moving.
 
I would love to do more to him but I can hear
the approaching sirens of cop cars, great that must have been Eric calling
them, the guy must really care.
 

                  
The
cops rush up and take Pierce off my hands and ask me exactly what had happened
here.
 
I give them my version of events
whilst one cop frees Tania.
 
When I am
finally finished with the cops both
me
and Tania are
reunited.
 
God it feels so good to
finally have her back in my arms.
 
I take
her face in my hands and stare into her beautiful eyes.

                  
“Tania
I have never been so scared in all my life when I realised that, that fucktard
had taken you.
 
Thanks baby for leaving
those clues.
 
If you hadn’t of left them
behind I would
of
just thought that you had changed
your mind about us.”
 
I am at this moment
so damn thankful to have her back and I know at this minute I want this woman
to become my wife.
 
I have never loved
someone quite as much as this woman.
 
I
need to be able to protect her for as long as we both shall live.
 

                  
“Oh
David thank you so much for saving me, Pierce said he loved me and that you
didn’t deserve to have me.
 
He called me
a slut for dumping him for you.
 
He had
planned to kill me so that no-one else could have me either.”
 
Tania has tears welling up in her eyes and I
just want to kiss them away for her.
 
Never again will anyone touch my woman ever again, she means too much to
me.

                  
“Tania
I know this is very soon and everything, but if today has taught me anything it
is that life is too short.
 
Tania would
you do me the honor of becoming my wife? I love you with all my heart and I
want to make us a permanent fixture. What do you say?”
 
I speak so quickly so that I get all the
words out before I chicken out of asking her.
