“That’s what’s up ma; I’m in the middle of something right n-“Tiffany cut him off.

“It’s not the middle of me so it’s not important,” Tiffany said. “Now where are you?” She asked. Binx laughed not knowing what to say. Tiffany could hear a group of niggas in the background talking about one thing or another. “Hellooooo, you there?” She asked.

“I’m here sweetheart.” He said, and then gave her the directions to get to him. Tiffany smiled because she’d already followed him home. She could hear him tell his partners that he would be back later on. “You on your way?” he asked.

“Of course let me slip my shoes on and I’m out the door.” She replied running back into the bedroom.

“Alright.” Binx said hanging up the phone. Tiffany pulled her sandals from the duffle and put them on.

“Where he said to meet him?” Messiah asked not taking his eyes off the TV.

“His place,” she replied. Tiffany looked in the mirror and didn’t care for what she had on so stripped out everything except for her bra and thong.

“What the fuck you doing?” He asked now turning his attention to look at his woman. She was running around the room throwing clothes out the duffle. Her ass and thighs were shaking gloriously to his taste igniting an erection that prompted him to stand.

“I’m not feeling that outfit,” she replied. Messiah stepped out of his pants and walked behind her admiring how the thong set perfectly on her ass, and then fell into the crack. Tiffany felt his dick poking at her behind, but she turned around and pushed him back. She wasn’t in the mood.

“Stop Siah.” Messiah wasn’t hearing none of that shit she was popping. He just wanted to get him some. Tiffany threw more of the clothes onto the bed, and then moved from in front of Messiah. She was in a rush to get dressed so she found the easiest thing to slip on--a dress.

“Ohhhh fuck no! You not wearing that!” Messiah said with a serious facial expression.

“Yes I am! I need to be out the door and you need to go make sure Mallory is still alive,” Tiffany suggested. “You are losing focus babe and I don’t need you to be doing that…not with this job.” She said slipping her sandals back on and grabbing her purse. Messiah stood beside the bed butt ass naked. Tiffany gave him a kiss on his lips and grabbed his dick real hard.

“WHAT THE FUCK?” Messiah yelled.

“Don’t be stupid nigga!” she said.

She released his dick and then headed for the door.

“What do you mean? What the fuck you grab my shit like that for?” He asked putting his boxers back on, and then picked his pants up from the floor. Tiffany didn’t reply and only closed the door on him.

Tiffany got in her ride, cranked it up, and sped off to Binx’s house. Messiah was her heart to the end of the Earth and back, but he had committed the ultimate sin. The money they were being paid to take out the bitch’s boyfriend was a nice price, but Tiffany wanted to know what Mallory’s actual intentions were. Not putting her mind through too much stress she turned the radio up and tuned her thoughts down. Binx lived thirty minutes away from Tiffany and Messiah’s spot. When she arrived she pulled into the enormous driveway and parked her car behind a motorcycle. She adored the bike and found herself just staring at it until she noticed the front door open.

“Did you come to see the bike or me because if y’all got a love thang going on I can go back inside and eat this dinner alone.” Binx was smooth as hell and Tiffany was feeling like she was out of her league on this mission.

“I’m sorry my dad use to ride bikes like this one all the time. He even taught me how to ride when I was about ten.” She smiled as she walked up to the door remembering the good times she shared with her father.

“That’s cool, do he still ride? Maybe if this thing workout with us we can ride together one day.” He stated stepping to the side to allow her to enter his home.

“No he don’t ride anymore.” She said with sadness in her eyes. Binx hated to see that on a woman.

“I’m sorry.” He knew that her old man was dead by the look in her eyes.

“It’s ok. He’s been gone since I was thirteen so I am dealing with it.” Tiffany was open with this man and it scared her because she had only been this way with Messiah.

There's nothing like a home with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, subzero appliances, two dishwashers and two wine cellars. Amazing chandeliers, seventeen feet high vaulted ceilings, a Loggia with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. She thought as
she looked around his home The floors were made of stone and hardwood throughout the immaculate home. There was a huge porch wrapped around the back that could be covered with the flick of a switch. Tiffany lusted because this home lacked nothing and from the road nothing could be seen on Binx’s property. It even had two springs that filled a three acre lake; it was extremely spectacular.

Tiffany was standing in her dream house yet with the wrong man. For some odd reason it seemed liked the right man. She had to shake the thought from her mind.

Binx admired her, she was so sexy and classy without even trying. Something about her said that she loved the way his home looked and that it was something she was used to. He couldn’t really tell because she didn’t have that rich girl aura and began to assume that she was just fine and been with a lot of niggas with money.

“Are you hungry or can I just eat you-- I mean you can just watch me eat.” Binx said now feeling silly being the shit he was thinking fell out of his mouth so smoothly.

“I will join you for the meal. I would hate for you to eat me and I starve.” She wasn’t shy to say the least and Binx liked that.

“Well let’s eat love.” He led her to the dining room that he had set for two in a low dim lit room that possessed a euphoric ambience.

Binx pulled her chair because he was a gentleman, but he also watched her place all that ass in the chair. That thing she was dragging back there should have been illegal. He was glad that it wasn’t because he planned on breaking the law if shit went his way.

They ate together and enjoyed each other’s company. Tiffany kind of hated the fact that she was here to kill the nigga for a price. He didn’t seem like the person that Mallory was making him out to be. Something was all wrong with this picture now that she was sitting here with Binx and before she put him down she was gonna get to the bottom of it all. She was not gonna have bad blood on her hands no matter how much money she was offered.

*******

Messiah wasn’t about to sit in the house and let his mind drive him crazy about the fact that Tiffany was out in that damn dress with Binx. He just couldn’t wait until she gave the order to come lay that nigga down. It was something about the man that Messiah never met that made him jealous more that any man ever had. Instincts ran at its highest level and Messiah would act on it.

Messiah pulled into the parking garage of the hospital. He figured since she was out with him, he would keep his eyes on Mallory for a few hours and then head back home to meet up with Tiffany. He was eager to see when she was planning to punch the clock on Binx and get on with their life. Playing around with delirious Mallory and bum ass Binx was not in his life goals.

He headed inside and took the elevator up to the third floor. He walked into room three twenty six and was wondering was his mind playing tricks on him. He walked past the empty bed to see if Mallory was in the bathroom. She wasn’t. He felt the bed for body temperature and it was cold so that let him know that she had been out of that space for some time now.

Messiah began to think maybe she was rushed to surgery or something. He went to the nurse’s station and the nurse was glad to see a sight like him at that time of night. “Well hello handsome.” She was an older woman like Ms. Anna so she was just being nice.

“My friend in three twenty six… was she moved?” Messiah asked her.

“No she should be there babe.” She walked around the desk and went to see what he was talking about.

He followed her back to the room that was still empty like he told her. The nurse was shocked “This woman wasn’t in walking condition sir so if she left this building she had to have help and wanted to leave.” She walked back to the desk and got on the phone to make a call.

“This is Ms. Val, I want to know have you seen the patient in three twenty six?” She asked the caller on the other end of the phone.

Messiah watched and listened until she hung up “They said that she was wheeled out by two men that were taking her out for a smoke,” she told him.

“That’s a lie.” Messiah told her as he walked away from the desk waiting for the elevator to take him back down.

“How can you say that’s a lie?” Ms. Val was pissed because she didn’t allow anyone to call her a liar.

“Cause she hates smoke.” Messiah stated as he stepped on the elevator.

He didn’t know what the hell was going on with this puzzle. It just seemed to keep scrambling by the minute. Messiah needed to call Tiffany and let her know what the hell was taking place at the hospital. He sat in the car and dialed her number, but the phone repeatedly went to voicemail. That shit was pissing him of! He called her phone about twenty more times before he gave up and headed home to wait for her ass to show up. At that point he didn’t give a fuck what Mallory had going on-- him and Tiffany was off this case.

*********

Tiffany was out riding the bike through the city with Binx. He had talked her into going for a ride after dinner and being that she hadn’t been on a bike since her dad passed; she happily accepted.

Flying through the city with her hair blowing in the wind, Tiffany forced her eyes closed and a warm smile crossed her face. She left her purse in her car at his house, but she couldn’t believe how alive and close to her father she felt now that she was up on Binx. The radio blasted John Legend.

Baby since the day you came into my life
You made me realize that we were born to fly
You showed me every day new possibilities
You proved my fantasies of love could really be
Let's go to a place only lovers go
To a spot that we've never known
To the top of the clouds we're floating away yeah
Ooh this feels so crazy
Oh this love is blazing
Baby we're so high
Walking on cloud 9
(You've got me up so high) So high
(My shoes are scraping the sky) So high

(You've got me up so high) Oh
(My shoes are scraping the sky)

John Legend was killing it and the breeze was amazing. Binx smiled as they rode listening to the beautiful lyrics. This feeling that they were sharing at this moment was what he was looking for all of his life and right now he was so close he could taste. Pussy was never hard to get when you possessed good looks and long money, but genuine love… true love is very hard to find. At this moment he felt that if he and Tiffany never grew beyond friends, this moment would be special to the both of them.

Chapter Nine

Messiah returned home about midnight. He knew that Tiffany should be coming in shortly so he took a bath and got in bed hoping not to fall asleep before she got in. The next thing Messiah knew the morning sun was shining on his face and the other side of his bed was still empty for the first time in years. He didn’t know what that fuck was going on ‘cause Tiffany had never did this and they never discussed this. He was wondering did Binx hurt her with knowledge of him being a woman beater. Messiah called her phone, but still no answer. This shit was gonna drive him crazy. He called Ms. Anna to let her know that he was running late ‘cause he needed to locate Tiffany and his mind wouldn’t rest until he saw her face.
