His
hair-covered pubic bone ground up into my clit and his steel-hard cock bashed
over my swollen G-spot. With alarming swiftness he delivered me a mind-blowing
orgasm. “Ah, Nick, I’m coming, oh…oh, yes…” I found his mouth and tried to kiss
him, but I had no control of my lips as a climax stormed through me. There was
more lightning and thunder around us, above us, but what exploded in my body
was so tremendous, so awe-inspiring, all I could do was sob out my release.

“Oh…my…God…”
He froze. After such frenzied thrusting, he suddenly stilled, pulled in a
breath so deep his chest crushed me into the door. “Ah, ah, ah, ah…”

As
my pussy quivered around his cock warmth spread inside me. I sank my hips down
as hard as I could, feeling the softness of his balls on my ass as I took every
last inch of his pulsating cock.

“Oh,
Laura, Laura, Laura,” he gasped, kissing me again. “It has never been like that
with a woman for me, never been so wild and desperate and my passion
reciprocated like that, you’re stunning.”

“You’re
not so bad yourself.”

He
pulled out and gently lowered my feet to the floor.

I
felt dizzy, my pussy humming and twitching through the last shreds of my
orgasm.

He
tucked his cock away and reached for my ripped thong. “Sorry, I’ll buy you
more.”

I
took it from him. “Don’t worry about it.” I shivered and tipped my head,
dragged in a deep breath. There was a distant beeping sound. “What’s that?”

“A
house alarm.” He reached forward and tenderly pushed my straggly hair out of my
face. “I guess the storm has cut the electricity to the village, it often
happens.”

Despite
what we’d just done one thought filled my mind. “Damn, I won’t be able to cook
dinner for you and Josh.”

He
stooped and picked up my bag from the farm shop. “Go shower, baby, warm up.
I’ll figure something out for us to eat.” He gave me a lopsided grin. A grin
that was so far removed from the tight smiles he’d given me when I’d first
arrived at Barn View that my heart swelled with joy. It seemed I’d just made
him as happy as he’d made me.

I
stood under hot water, shampooing my hair and thinking of what I’d done with
Nick and all that it meant. He’d been like a man possessed. I’d felt like a
woman possessed. All the new thoughts and feelings I’d had for him had erupted
into a crazy, consuming passion. It had burst out as loud and as powerful as
any storm. And now, now the overwhelming emotion was one of completion, a deep,
pit-of-the-stomach satisfaction. Sleeping with Josh, feeling him hold me, inside
me, was one of the most beautiful things that had happened in a very long time,
if ever. But it wasn’t until Nick had plunged into my depths, gazed at me with want
and desire, that I realized something had been missing.

I
need Nick the same way I need Josh.

Reaching
for conditioner, I massaged my scalp then rubbed the thick creaminess right to
the ends of my hair. I could still feel the stretch in my pussy where Nick’s
cock had just claimed me, my clit was still sensitive from the wild thrusting
of his hips. Would Josh really be thrilled with the new, very sexual connection
Nick and I had discovered? I certainly hoped Nick had been right when he said
it would make Josh’s day, because time could not be re-wound, and there was no
way in hell either one of us would ever keep a secret from our lover.

After
soaping and rinsing, I stepped out of the large glass shower cubicle. Josh
hadn’t minded Nick touching my breast yesterday or me curling up naked in bed
with him there too. And he’d certainly seemed happy that Nick and I were more
relaxed together that morning as we’d joked around making breakfast.

We
should have cleared it with him first, though. That would have been the best
thing. But passion was like the devil when it got you by the throat, and I’d
struggled to think logically as it seared through my veins.

Toweling
off, I began to feel nervous. What if Nick was wrong, what if he didn’t know
Josh quite as well as he thought he did, this was after all a new situation.
None of us had done this before.

Everything
between the three of us was powerful but at the same time fragile. What if gentle-natured,
easy-going Josh wasn’t understanding? Maybe he would accuse us of going behind
his back, being deceptive. I couldn’t bear the thought of upsetting him, losing
him.

I
pulled on fresh clothes, clipped up my towel-dried hair and headed down the shadowy
staircase. I stared at the front door and my sodden shoes standing on the mat.
A shiver ran up my spine at the memory of my frantic orgasm and Nick coming
high inside me.

“Laura,”
Nick called from the living room. “In here.”

A
golden glow spilled from the doorway. Stepping in, I saw that the room was
alight with candles, twenty or so, dotted around. A newly lit fire roared in
the grate, bright flames licking up the wide chimneybreast.

Nick
sat on the deep pile rug poking the shifting, crackling logs. “I made us a
picnic to eat when Josh gets in,” he said, turning to me with a smile.

The
coffee table was covered with treats. Cheese, bread, pickles and olives. A
bunch of green grapes sat in a bowl beside a plate of sliced salami and Parma
ham.

“That
looks wonderful.” I suddenly realized how hungry I was.

“Wine?”
He placed the long black poker on its stand and reached for the bottle I’d
lugged back from the farm shop. He’d set it in a silver wine cooler and three
glasses waited next to it.

“Mmm,
please.” I kneeled on the rug and held my palms to the fire.

“You
okay, warmer now?” he asked, handing me a glass and reaching for his own.

“Yes,
fine.” I took a sip of the lovely, lightly fragranced liquid and stared at the
dancing flames.

“Sure?”

I
swallowed and nodded.

“Laura?”
He hooked the crook of his index finger under my chin and turned me to face
him. “What is it?”

Looking
into his concerned eyes, I dragged in a deep breath. “I’m just worried about
Josh.”

Nick
frowned slightly. “He’ll be back soon, the storm is easing.”

I
shook my head. “No, what I mean is…” I paused. “I’m worried about what he’ll
think of us. Of what we just did.”

Very
gently Nick brushed his lips over mine. “He’ll be over the moon that we’ve
figured out how things are going to be between us.”

Sweeping
my tongue over my bottom lip, I savored his delicious flavor. It sent zinging sensations
to my nipples that, without the hindrance of a bra, peaked against my sweater. It
would have been easy to lose myself in Nick all over again but I forced myself
to stay in control. “But how can you be so sure?”

“Because
he’s talked about threesomes before. Asked me what it was like when I made love
to Cheryl and even said he would love to have been a fly on the wall, watched
and even joined in.”

I
raised my eyebrows, surprised at this revelation.

“Yeah,
I’ll admit, we’d had a bit to drink that night, but I remember him talking
about ménage, how much it appealed to him to share and watch, touch and be
touched by more than one person. I guess that’s what gave me confidence
yesterday, when you and him were in bed. I knew he wouldn’t mind me joining in.
I knew it was one of his fantasies.”

“Fantasies
are all very well, but this is real, Nick. Hearts are involved, your vows are
being tangled and stretched, by me and I feel…”

“Hey,
hey, not just by you. There are three of us in this thing and we each have a
responsibility to one another. But that doesn’t change the fact that Josh loves
me, and he may not have admitted it yet, Laura, but he’s in love with you too,
which means everything will be okay.”

Josh
loves me.

My
heart fluttered at words that filled my soul with hope and delight. If that was
true then perhaps we could work this thing out. Love after all, was famed for
its conquering abilities.

Nick
smiled, showcasing that damn cute dimple of his and creasing the corners of his
eyes. “And what is there not to love?” He stroked his hand over my hair and
down onto my cheek. “You’re adorable in every way.”

“But
Nick, I…it’s all so fast and I…”

“Shh.”
He pressed a finger over my lips. “I’ll handle Josh, trust me, everything is
going to be perfect. I’ll make sure it is.”

He
spoke words of comfort so easily. It was a long time since I’d felt a burden
taken away with a gentle caress, a kiss and a soft smile. A weight taken from
my shoulders was a rare occurrence. Usually it was all up to me, I relied on
myself.

“So,”
Nick said. “No more sad eyes, no more concerns, okay? We have a fire, a picnic
and soon he will be here to complete us.”

Complete
us?

Yes,
that was the right word. Nick always glowed when Josh was there and I suspected
I did too. Much as it was lovely, us two being together, we needed him too. His
absence was a hole, a gap waiting to be filled. I wondered if it would be the
same now if Josh and I were alone? Would I miss Nick and crave his touch, his
presence? Would they miss me with the same intensity?

I
popped a grape into my mouth, told myself to relax and enjoy the moment.

“So
tell me, how long have you lived in that district of London?” Nick asked.

“A
couple of years now.”

“You
like it?”

“It’s
okay, not the best. I don’t wander out late at night if that’s what you mean.”

He
nodded. “Yes, that was what I meant. I was a bit anxious about my car being
parked there and that was during the day.”

I
shrugged. “It was fine.”

“Yes,
it was. But have you ever thought about moving, maybe nearer the center of the
city or out into the suburbs?”

The
cheese looked divine so I helped myself to a chunk along with a rip of bread. I
couldn’t wait. I was starving. “I’d love to, but apart from the fact I haven’t
got the money to move into the city, the housing market isn’t great for one-bedroom
flats at the moment.”

“Isn’t
it?” He lifted his eyebrows. “I thought it always was in London, people trying
to get onto the housing market and all that.”

“No.”
How could I tell him that the damp state my flat was in made it un-saleable? I
was stuck with it until I sorted the soggy, moldy problem.

“How
about if business picked up, would you move then?”

I
looked at him. “Why?”

He
stared into the flames. “I guess I’m just worried about you being there. A
woman on your own. It makes you vulnerable. You see such awful things on the
news.”

“I’ve
been on my own since Mum died, Nick. I’m used to it.”

His
gaze snared mine. “You’re not on your own anymore, Laura, you’ve got us now.
Don’t forget that.”

 “That’s
nice to know.”

“If
you need anything, anything at all, you let us know, okay?” His tone was deadly
serious.

I
shrugged and reached for my wine. I wasn’t good at asking for help. It would
never occur to me to.

“You
said in Marbella that your photography was making enough money for you to get
by, just.”

“It
could be better, but that’s just how it goes, isn’t it. You know the score,
when you’re running your own company some months it’s good, some months the pot
runs a little dry.”

“And
you’re having a dry month.” He tightened his lips.

The
conversation was beginning to irk me. I didn’t want to spoil the lovely moment
of sitting in front of the fire with Nick. Sipping wine and munching tasty
morsels shouldn’t be interrupted with financial talk. “Something will come up.
Perhaps we can take a walk tomorrow and I’ll shoot some pictures. Often it’s
the unplanned ones that clears a credit card. I took a great shot of a
caterpillar when I was here last and that dragged the mortgage up to date.” I
stretched out my legs and wriggled my toes toward the flames. “Besides,” I said
in a husky voice, “earlier I would definitely have described myself as having a
very wet time.”

He
studied my face for a long moment, then his gaze dropped to my chest. “Mmm, you
were irresistible, and seeing your little nipples poking against your top is
what had me nearly coming in my pants.” He frowned. “I only hope you didn’t kill
any of the local old men as you came back through the village. Because you,
baby, are the sexiest woman to have been in Little Mickleton for a very long
time, if not ever.”

I
stroked a hand over my nipples that were tight and twisting beneath his hot
gaze.

“Ah,
here you are.”

We
both turned as Josh came into the room.

Chapter Twelve

“The
weather is horrid out there,” Josh said, pushing his fingers through his damp
hair. “I thought the storm had eased but its revving up again.” He looked down
at the table. “I see we have a cold supper tonight because of the power cut.”
