Matthew 18:1-20

1
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3
 and said,
Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and
that
he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
8

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast
them
from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
9

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast
it
from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

10

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
11

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

12

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
13

And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that
sheep,
than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
14

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

15

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16

But if he will not hear
thee, then
take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
17

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell
it
unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.
18

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

19

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Psalm 22:19-31

19
But be not thou far from me, O L
ORD
: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

21
Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

22
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23
 Ye that fear the L
ORD
, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

25
 My praise
shall be
of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the L
ORD
that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the L
ORD
: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28
 For the kingdom
is
the L
ORD
's: and he
is
the governor among the nations.

29
 All
they that be
fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the L
ORD
for a generation.

31
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done
this.

Proverbs 5:15-21

15
Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

16
Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad,
and
rivers of waters in the streets.

17
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.

18
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

19

Let her be as
the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

20
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

21
 For the ways of man
are
before the eyes of the L
ORD
, and he pondereth all his goings.

Exodus 5:22–7:25

22
And Moses returned unto the L
ORD
, and said, L
ORD
, wherefore hast thou
so
evil entreated this people? why
is
it
that
thou hast sent me?
23
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

6:
1
 Then the L
ORD
said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

2
And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I
am
the L
ORD
:
3
and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by
the name of
God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
4
And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
5
And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
6
Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I
am
the L
ORD
, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
7
and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I
am
the L
ORD
your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8
And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I
am
the L
ORD
.
9
And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

10
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying,
11
Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

12
And Moses spake before the L
ORD
, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who
am
of uncircumcised lips?

13
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

14
 These
be
the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these
be
the families of Reuben.
15
And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these
are
the families of Simeon.
16
 And these
are
the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi
were
an hundred thirty and seven years.
17
The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
18
And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath
were
an hundred thirty and three years.
19
And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these
are
the families of Levi according to their generations.

20
And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram
were
an hundred and thirty and seven years.
21
And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
22
And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.
23
And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
24
And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these
are
the families of the Korhites.
25
And Eleazar Aaron's son took him
one
of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these
are
the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.

26
 These
are
that Aaron and Moses, to whom the L
ORD
said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
27
 These
are
they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these
are
that Moses and Aaron.

28
And it came to pass on the day
when
the L
ORD
spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
29
 that the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, saying, I
am
the L
ORD
: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.

30
And Moses said before the L
ORD
, Behold, I
am
of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

7:
1
 And the L
ORD
said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2
Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies,
and
my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5
And the Egyptians shall know that I
am
the L
ORD
, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

6
And Moses and Aaron did as the L
ORD
commanded them, so did they.
7
 And Moses
was
fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.

8
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9
When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast
it
before Pharaoh,
and
it shall become a serpent.
10
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the L
ORD
had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

11
Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
13
And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the L
ORD
had said.

14
 And the L
ORD
said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart
is
hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15
Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16
And thou shalt say unto him, The L
ORD
God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17
 Thus saith the L
ORD
, In this thou shalt know that I
am
the L
ORD
: behold, I will smite with the rod that
is
in mine hand upon the waters which
are
in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18
 And the fish that
is
in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.

19
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and
that
there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in
vessels of
wood, and in
vessels of
stone.
20
And Moses and Aaron did so, as the L
ORD
commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that
were
in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that
were
in the river were turned to blood.
21
 And the fish that
was
in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

22
And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the L
ORD
had said.
23
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24
And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25
And seven days were fulfilled, after that the L
ORD
had smitten the river.
