"Define serious relationship?  I mean, I know everyone in your century was always having sex before marriage, and I don't expect you to be a virgin or anything, but how serious have you gotten with a man?"  Calor's eyes watched her carefully as he asked.

She shrugged.  "Honestly?  I've been on a lot of first dates and a few second dates.  I've been kissed my share, but I've never let a man go beyond that.  I always thought that I should wait until I got to know a man better before I had sex with him, and no man was ever willing to wait for long enough to get to know me better."

He nodded, thrilled with her answer.  He hated the idea of sharing her with another man in both his own century and the one she'd come from.  "What did you do?  Did you live alone?"

She nodded.  "When I first graduated from law school, I lived with my two closest friends who had settled in the same town after college.  I went to school for three years after them, and when I finished, we all three lived together for a year, but then I decided I wanted my own space.  They still live together, though."  She frowned, her eyes sad.  "Or they did when I last saw them."  It hurt to think her friends were dead, but they would have died centuries ago.

"Are they the friends you mentioned in the park?
Alexa and Megan?"

"Yes.   They must have seen me disappear.  I hope they're not too upset."  She knew they would be though.  How could you watch one of your closest friends disappear from in front of you and not worry?  They'd been best friends for too long for either of them to be able to not worry about her.  "I wonder if I could find information about them?  Or about me?  Maybe I could go to the library and do some quick research."

"I'd be happy to let you use my computer at home.  You don't need to go to the library.  We can link up to any computer on the planet from the safety of my apartment."

"Why are you so worried about my safety?  I'm a big girl.  I've been on my own for years."
Sure there were crazies out there, but she could take care of herself.  She always had and she always would.

He shook his head.  "Not in this century you haven't.  You're more precious than gold or jewels here.  Men will do anything they can to steal you.  To keep you or put you up for auction and keep the profits."

"I hadn't really thought of that."  She frowned.  "So what you're saying is, unless I'm with a man, I'm really not safe here."

"No, what I'm saying is, you're really not safe here.  Period.  I don't know that I can do anything if any of the other men are interested in you.  I need to get you safely to my home and lock you up.  I shouldn't have brought you out to dinner.  It's not safe for women to be out wandering the streets."
He wanted to kick himself for even suggesting eating out, but he hadn't wanted her to think he was trying to lure her back to his home either.

She leaned back in her chair and threw her napkin down.  "I won't be a prisoner."

He shook his head.  "I'd never ask you to be.  We'll find you a bodyguard. A good one."

"I don't want a bodyguard. I want to go back to my life and my friends."  Even as she said the words she wondered if they were true.  He was fascinating to her, and the idea of helping mankind certainly was thrilling.  But to do it by bearing as many children as she could?  Was that the way she wanted to handle things?

Calor frowned.  "I'll take you back to the park then, and we'll try to wish you back home."

She shook her head, her hair bouncing around her face.  "I don't think that's a good idea."  She sighed.  "I want to stay here, at least for a little while, and get to know you better."
Alicia didn't realize she'd made the decision to stay until she said the words.

"Do you mean it?  You'll marry me then?"

Alicia hadn't agreed to that, but looking at him, she knew he was everything she'd ever dreamed of in a man.  He was rich, handsome, and he made her blood sing.  Just thinking of marrying him made her nerve endings tingle.  Would she marry him?  Did she really have a choice?  She nodded slowly, wondering what she was getting herself into.  "Can we marry in name only?  Just for a little while until we get used to each other?"

"Absolutely not!"  Calor frowned at the idea.  "I need to retire Mona and replace her with someone special."
With Alicia.  He suddenly didn't want just any breeder.  It had to be the beautiful woman sitting across from him.

Alicia sighed.  "All right.  When do you want to marry?"

He removed his phone from his pocket, around the size of her iPhone, but it seemed like so much more than a smart phone.  He punched in a number and put it to his ear.  "Yes, this is Calor.  Can you do me a favor?"  He waited for a moment, and she knew whomever he had called was speaking to him.  "I want to get married tonight."  He laughed.  "No, not a lucky man.  A beautiful woman."  He frowned.  "No, I'm not joking.  We'll be there in half an hour?  Will that work?"  He nodded.  "Thanks, buddy."

He slipped the phone back into his pocket and looked at her.  "Wedding in thirty minutes."  He felt his cock get hard at the very idea of being married to the beautiful woman across from him.  Did she have any idea of her appeal?  Of all the
movies he'd seen, all the holos of beautiful actresses, he could honestly say that she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen in his life.

Alicia nodded, her palms sweaty as she worried about what life
with him would be like.  "I need to use the restroom.  Where's the little girls' room?"

He looked at her for a moment before shaking his head.  "There's no need for separate gendered bathrooms."
He'd have to accompany her if she went.  It wouldn't be safe otherwise.  "I'll take you."

She sighed.  "I'll wait until we get somewhere private then."  She looked down at her clothes.  She had to wear jeans and her
flowered lavender blouse forever?  "How will I get clothes.  I mean, if there are no women...  Is there even a store to buy clothes?"

"There are tailors who are used to making clothes for the women who marry
trillionaires.  I'll call my friend, Bill, in the morning and ask him who he used for his wife, April."

"That works."  She hated the idea of not being able to shop.  She couldn't just walk into a store and buy herself five pairs of shoes anymore.  She'd have to have everything specially made.  And how far did a trillion dollars go when it came to shoe shopping?

Chapter Three

The drive to the courthouse was quick, and Alicia got out of the car, s
moothing her hair automatically with her fingers.  She hated she wouldn't get to be married in a long white gown and have her father walk her down the aisle.  She wished there was a way to get her family a message that she was fine, but there wasn't.  Would she be on a missing persons list?  She certainly didn't want to think about her face being on a milk carton somewhere!  They only put kids on milk cartons, though, right?

Calor took her hand and tugged her along behind him, obviously eager to get out of the darkening street and into the courthouse.  She wasn't certain if he was in a huge hurry to be married or if he was afraid people would see her and she'd be in danger.  Probably a little bit of both.

He walked through the courthouse to a small office at the back.  "Antoine!"

The short man with dark hair and green eyes looked between the two of them, holding his hand out to shake Calor's.  "It's good to see you, old friend."  He looked at Alicia, his eyes studying her carefully.  "How'd you find a breeder?"

Calor shrugged.  "I wished for her and she magically appeared at my feet."  He knew the answer was flippant, but it was also the truth and as much truth as he was willing to share.

Antoine said nothing as he studied Alicia.  "Well, let's get on with it then."  He walked around behind his desk.  "What's your name?" he asked, pen poised to write down her response.

"Alicia.  Alicia Quick."

The ceremony was short and sweet, and five minutes later she heard the words, "You may kiss the bride."  She looked up at Calor and blushed.  He had every right to kiss her and do whatever he wanted to her now.  She'd never dreamed it would feel so odd to give a man those rights over her and her body.

Calor leaned down and brushed his lips against hers gently.  He didn't want to start anything he couldn't finish there in his friend's office.  They'd have plenty of time when they got home.  It was a Friday, and he didn't have to work until Monday.  Two whole days of lovemaking.  He couldn't wait to get started on them.

The two men shook hands.  "I think you'll understand when I tell you I'd like this kept quiet.  I need to find a body guard for her as soon as possible," Calor said.

Antoine nodded.  "Yes, of course.  I can recommend a good one if you'd like."

Calor nodded. "Message me with his name and information."  He put his hand at the small of Alicia's back, leading her out of the office.  "I appreciate the favor."

He led Alicia back to the car, and she settled in beside him.  "Where do you work?" she asked, trying to make conversation.
What exactly were you supposed to say to the man you'd only met three hours earlier and had just married?

"Houston when I have to go to the office.  I usually only go once or twice a week, though.  I telecommute most of the time."

She looked at him in surprise.  "Aren't Houston and Dallas a five hour drive from each other or something?  I thought they were in different parts of the state.

He grinned.  "This is the
twenty-fourth century.  I can do it in under forty-five minutes."  He carefully navigated the car onto the roof of an obviously upscale apartment building.  "We're home."

Alicia looked at him, taking deep calming breaths.  If they were home, that meant he was ready for some wild times.  She was very attracted to him, but having never slept with a man, she couldn't imagine having sex with a man she'd just met that day.  "I had no idea you lived on a roof," she said flippantly, trying to cover up her embarrassment.  "Is that normal for this century?"

He laughed softly, getting out of the car and walking around to open her door.  She stepped out and looked around her carefully.  "When did cars start flying?"

"They had the technology in your time, but they didn't have the ability to mass produce them for a cost the average person would be willing to pay."  He led her toward the elevator door and punched the button for the eight floor.  "They were in common usage by the end of your century."

The elevator door opened into the middle of a living area.  "Can anyone get on that elevator and come to this floor?  You didn't use a key."

"The elevator does retinal scans.
I'll have to code it to accept yours as well."  He led her through the apartment giving her the tour.  "This is the living area."  He waved his hand around a living area that her entire apartment back in Minnesota would have fit easily into.  He took her to the kitchen.  "This is the kitchen.  You're welcome to cook if it's something you enjoy, otherwise my robot, Robertron, will take care of it for us."

Alicia stared around her in wonder.  The appliances were all stainless steel, but they looked nothing like anything she'd ever seen.  "I may need to have Robbie the Robot give me instructions in how to cook in a kitchen like this."
She loved to cook, and she wasn't going to be intimidated by the kitchen in front of her.

Calor slipped his arm around her shoulders.  "Robbie the Robot, huh?"

She shrugged.  "I've never even seen a robot.  I couldn't call one Robertron.  It's so...impersonal."  She sighed.  "Have you ever seen the movie
Bicentennial Man
?"

"It's hilarious.  The idea that a human and robot could fall in love is so ridiculous.  It's become something of a cult classic."  He led her down the hall and showed her his study.  "This is where I work when I'm not at the office, of course."

The computer in the room stunned her.  It was small...tiny really, except for the keyboard.  "No monitor?" she asked.  As soon as she said the word monitor, one grew out of the tiny box that was only one inch by one inch to start with.  How had it fit in there?

He grinned at the look on her face, pulling her out of the room.  He led her to another smaller computer room.  "This is my computer for recreational use.  We'll get you your own, but for now, you can use this one whenever you'd like.  Maybe you can find your friends on it."

Alicia smiled at the room.  It looked like a place she could be comfortable for a while.  He led her to a small closet, opening the door and pressing a button.  A very human looking robot emerged from the closet.  "You're home, Mr. Calor.  I see you brought a friend."  He stuck his hand out to shake Alicia's.  "I'm Robertron.  Your name is?"

She was instantly charmed.  "I'm Alicia, Robbie.  I hope we can be friends."

His eyes whirred for a moment.  "Hello, Alicia.  I do not mind at all if you call me Robbie.  It's a fitting name for a robot."

Calor smiled.  "
Robertron, Alicia will be living with us from now on.  We just got married."

"Welcome to the family, Alicia.  You don't mind that I consider myself part of the family, too, do you?"

Alicia shook her head.  "My feelings would be hurt if you didn't.  We'll get along just fine, Robbie."

"Okay, we need to finish charging you.  I just wanted you to meet Alicia.  You'll obey her orders the same as you obey mine."

Robbie nodded briefly, and walked back to his closet, carefully plugging himself in.  "There.  I will sleep now."  He closed his eyes and the door for the closet swung closed.

Alicia looked at Calor.  "I love him!"
She was absolutely charmed by the mannerly robot and couldn't wait to get to know him better.

He laughed.  "I had a feeling you would."  He continued the tour, showing her all the different bedrooms and bathrooms in the huge apartment.  There were at least five bedrooms.  She stopped counting after that.  Eventually, he led her to his bedroom, which was decorated in dark blues and greens.

She looked around the huge room, wondering why he needed so much space for just one man.  "Your apartment is beautiful," she said honestly.

"It needs a woman's touch," he told her, quoting something he'd heard in several different movies.

"I could use one, yes."  She opened the door to the bathroom and gasped at the decadence.  The bathtub looked like four people could fit in it, and the separate shower was definitely big enough for two.  Looking at the bathtub more closely, she could see the jets that were certain to give her a good massage while she soaked.  A good book or two, and she'd never leave this place.  She wondered if Kindles were still a thing, because she'd love to put a good Jessica Clare book on one and lose herself in the huge beautiful bathtub.

He walked up behind
her, his hands cupping her breasts, his mouth brushing against her neck.  She stared at them in the mirror in front of her.  He was such a handsome man, and he certainly made her pussy sing when he kissed her.  He scraped his teeth against her neck and she moaned softly, leaning back against him.  "You're so beautiful," he whispered.

Alicia tried to see herself through his eyes, but she just couldn't.  Did he thin
k she was beautiful only because he had known so few women in his life?  She turned in his arms, wrapping her arms around him.  What would it be like, making love with this man who had just met his first woman that day?

He scooped her up in his arms and carried her through the doorway to his bedroom, carefully laying her on the bed.  She frantically wondered which underwear she was wearing?  She certainly wasn't one of those girls who always had matching bra and panty sets on, but right then she wished she was.  She wanted to be beautiful for him.

Calor sat on the edge of the bed, staring down at Alicia.  She was his, and it made his heart sing.  For so long he'd hoped for a woman who belonged to only him.  If he'd been able to make enough money, he'd have gotten in on one of the auctions in a year or two, and he knew it.  It wasn't what he'd wanted though.  He'd wanted a beautiful, special woman to call his own, and she was right there on his bed, waiting for his lips.

He leaned down and kissed her softly, his lips toying with hers.  She parted her lips slightly, but instead of taking advantage and swooping in with his tongue, he'd sucked her lower lip into his mouth, gently biting it.  His hands stroked her arms, just getting used to the feel of her softness under his hands.  Savoring this night became the only thing that was important in his life.

Stretching out fully beside her, he kissed her passionately, his lips wandering to her neck.  His tongue reached out and touched her neck, tasting her salty flesh.  "I've never dreamed I could touch a real woman this way.  I hope you understand just what this means to me.  You are the most important thing in my entire world."  He left the fact that she always would be unspoken.  Surely she already knew that.

Alicia shook her head, overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotions.  "You'd have felt that way about any woman who traveled forward three hundred years in time to be your wife."  She tried to make a joke out of it, but she knew to him, it was no laughing matter.  Honestly, it wasn't to her either, but she didn't know how to deal with the emotions coursing through her.

He propped himself up on one elbow, watching her face as his hand traced up and down her body.  "I think you were chosen just for me, and I was chosen just for you.  I can't be the only man who has wished for a beautiful woman, or you the only woman who has asked for a man, but you were brought to me.  There's a reason we're meant to be together.  I believe it with everything inside me."  He cupped her breast with his hand before moving down to stroke between her legs through the denim fabric there.

Never in her life had she wished she'd worn a short sexy skirt and heels before, but what she'd worn was practical for dinner and a walk in the park.  Maybe next time she decided to wish for a rich man to call her own, she'd hurry home first and change into something sexier.  "It feels strange to be allowing a man I've just met in the last few hours to touch me this way," she said quietly.
Would it bother him to hear her admit it?

Calor smiled.  "You're my wife.  I'm the only man who will ever touch you this way again."  His hand went to the buttons on her blouse, and he undid them slowly, carefully.  Once she was unbuttoned, he spread the pieces of fabric and stared down at what he'd uncovered, swallowing hard, his Adam's apple bobbing.  "So beautiful."

Alicia looked down and almost cried with disappointment.  She was wearing one of her most boring and utilitarian bras, great for holding up the girls, but not so good for being pretty.  Thank God, he just didn't seem to notice.  He seemed to think bras like that were just fine.  She certainly wasn't going to be the one to tell him otherwise.  It fastened in the back, and she wondered if he'd be able to figure it out for a moment while his eyes ate her up, but she finally reached behind her and unfastened it, wiggling on the bed.  Taking it off was up to him, but she could help him that much.

He watched as her bra became looser, giving him better access to the pretty globes he wanted to touch and taste.  He slid just one finger inside her bra, toying with her nipple.  Watching her face, he smiled as she closed her eyes, enjoying the sensations.  He leaned over and brushed his lips softly above the swell of her breast.  All at once, he felt he had to see her.  Getting to his knees, he pulled her up to a sitting position and pushed her blouse off her shoulders and then her bra.

His hands went to the pretty globes he'd uncovered, his thumbs toying with her nipples.  "Does that feel good?"
