“I am not pregnant.” I said right when Harlem and Justice walked in.

“Baby, you pregnant?” Justice’s stupid ass asked when he clearly heard me say I wasn’t.

“NO!” I said grabbing the Patron and pouring me a shot.

“Well, I’ve dreamt of fish. Now either y’all been sticking your ding-a-ling where it doesn’t belong or one of them is pregnant.” She said taking another shot.

“Ok mama, I think you had a little too much to drink.” I said taking the bottle from her.

“No I haven’t. Samya just brought me this.” She said snatching it back.

“I know for a fact it ain’t Samya, you got to be fucking to get pregnant.” Harlem said and I downed the shot. She flipped him the bird before walking out. He called her name and followed behind her.

“Baby, ima be a daddy,” Justice said and I grabbed the bottle and poured me another shot.

“No fool, you’re already a daddy. But this Chile is pregnant.” Rochelle said pointing over at me.

“I am not pregnant.” I replied damn near screaming.

“You might not know you are pregnant but yes you are. Listen to me, I said the same thing with that bitch Tammi and you nor her listened to me, Justice.”

I was getting sick of listening to people tell me something I didn’t want to hear. I didn’t even want to be here at this point. Mainly because of what Mama Rochelle is trying to prove was true. I have missed my periods twice but I didn’t think anything of it because I have always had irregular periods. After I loss the baby I was pregnant with by Prince for the second time, my doctor said it will be hard for me to bare children again. I have been eating a lot and picked up a little weight but I refused to take a test or go to the doctor for me or Justice to get excited about a baby I knew wasn’t going to survive. I figured it’ll past soon like the last two, so it wasn’t any need for me to mention it to Justice and get his hopes up. Here lately, that’s all he’s been talking about and honestly I was fine with Jordan and Javier. I know they’re not mine biologically but I still love them like they are.

I tried to take a sip of my drink but Justice took it out my hand and gave me a daring look. “I am not pregnant, Justice.” I said getting up.

“I hear you but until we find out for sure, stay away from the liquor and smoke. Just in case you are pregnant.” He said knocking back my shot.

“But I’m not tho” I whined.

“We’ll find out sooner than later, until then don’t let me catch you near the bar or I’m fucking yo ass up,” he said before walking out.

“He said don’t let him catch me.” I said pouring me another shot and hurried to knock it back before Justice could see it.

“I know that’s right baby. I drank with Harlem and look, he’s fine.” She said and we both started laughing.

Yea, right. Harlem’s a fucking psychopath. The shit Justice told me that he had done, creeped me out. Just looking at him you could never tell he was a cold blooded killer.

I helped Rochelle set the table before going to check on the twins. When I walked outside, the same dark skinned chick from earlier was smiling from ear to ear in Justice’s face. When he saw me coming, his smile quickly faded but before I could say anything Harlem called Justice to come here.

I stopped Damion and asked who those chicks were. “Oh the redbone my old lady and the other girl here for Keke, if he ever show the fuck up.” he said and I said ok before he walked off to join the guys.

I noticed that I haven’t seen Mya since earlier. So while the boys were in the basement, I went to go see about my sister. I walked upstairs but she wasn’t up there. I knew she wasn’t in the kitchen or out back because I was out there already. So, I checked the front yard. I found her sitting on the porch swing with a blunt in her hand. I could tell she had been crying because of how red and puffy her eyes were.

“What’s up Mya, why are you out here by yourself?” I asked sitting down beside her. I pushed the swing with my feet and took the blunt out of her hand.

“It’s nothing.” She said like always.

“Mya, you know you can always talk to me about anything, right? I will always be on your side whether you’re right or wrong. So whatever has been keeping you down and upset lately; please tell me. When you’re not happy, I’m not happy. The only way I can help you is if you tell me what’s going on, boo. I know it’s something bigger than work so don’t even shoot me that lie again. Does it have something to do with that Bryan guy?” I asked and passed her the blunt back. She nodded her head yes then hit it twice.

“Are you cheating on Harlem with him or something?” I asked and she nodded yes. “Does he know? Is that why you two have been so distant lately?”

“No, he doesn’t know but I think he suspects it. I don’t know what to do Jazmyn, it aint like I want to do this. I have to!” she cried.

“What do you mean you have to? Is he making you sleep with him?” she said no and I asked why she does it.

“You wouldn’t understand, Jaz. I did some shit in my life I will regret for the rest of my life but I wouldn’t change it even if I had a chance to.”

“You won’t give me a chance to understand because you won’t talk to me.”

“Jazmyn, I just told you the reason why I have been upset lately. Why the fuck are you still pressuring me?” she all of a sudden snapped for no reason. I knew she was still holding back on info but I wasn’t about to make her talk to me, only for her to close back up.
At least I got this far,
I thought rubbing her back.

“I don’t want you feeling like I’m pressuring you. It’s just that you’re my sister and I know it’s more to it than what you are telling me. I’m not going to beg you to open up to me. Just know that I love you and whenever you want to talk I’m here, aite.” She said ok and I told her to lets go fix up her face before mama gets here.

I was touching up Mya’s makeup when I heard Rochelle scream. “OH MY LORD, LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRUGGED IN.” Me and Mya looked at each other before peeping out of the bathroom door. There was a lot of laughter and commotion going on in the front room.

“Man it’s good to have you home Pop’s.” Harlem said before hugging a man that looks exactly like him, just older and with shorter hair. Harlem called Mya over to introduce the two.

“Nice to finally meet you, Ms. Samya. My boy here won’t shut up about you and now I see why.” He said kissing her hand and she blushed. “The name’s Rey.”

“Aite Pop’s. I’ll fuck you up over that one.” Harlem laughed pulling Mya into his arms.

“You can try son but just to save you the embarrassment, ima leave her alone.” He said and we all laughed. Rochelle told everybody to go wash up because it was time to eat. Justice asked what time my mother said she was coming and I honestly didn’t know. She was supposed to have been here.

“She said she was on her way like 30 minutes ago. So she should be pulling up anytime soon.” I said bending over to wash my hands. Justice smacked my ass and told me to come upstairs real quick.

“No Justice, your mother said it was time to eat.”

“Man that food will be here when we get back. Come on ma, it’ll only take a minute.” He said pulling me upstairs.

“Justice they will know that we are missing, can you just wait until we get home?” I asked when he pushed me in his room and turned off the lights.

“Nah, I can’t be around my peoples like this.” He said before dropping his jeans. The beautiful sight of his dick standing at attention had my mouth watering. He pulled me closer to him and kissed my lips. He turned me around and lifted up my long pink maxi dress. He snatched off my lace boy shorts and put them in his back pocket. I held on to the bed for support.

“OH HELL NAWL! WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING HERE?” I heard Rochelle yell. I looked at Justice but he turned me back around. I told him no and lets go see what’s going on.

“Damn Jaz. They aite,” he said trying to get his dick in but I wasn’t having it.

“I was invited,” I heard my mother say and knew some shit was about to start. Justice got the picture then. He started fixing his clothes before we left out the door. When we walked around front, Harlem was holding Rochelle back and Mya was standing in front of our mother who had her back up against the wall.

“What is going on in here?” I asked pulling my mother off the wall. “Ma, chill please.”

“That scandalous bitch is your mother?” Rochelle asked.

“Yes she is but can one of yall tell me how y’all know each other?” I said. “And why are y’all trying to take each other heads off?”

“Ask his father,” Rochelle said looking over at Harlem who was looking towards the kitchen. Rey came out the kitchen with a plate full of food and sat down like everything was good.

“Rey,” my mother said looking over at Harlem’s dad.

“Tuesday, what are you doing here girl?” he asked my mother before looking at her with so much lust in his eyes. Rochelle caught the look too because she wasn’t worried about my mom; she was trying to get at Rey.

“Tuesday is Jaz and Samya’s mother.” Harlem said wiping his hand over his face.

Rey looked at me then at my mother then back at me. My mother cocked her head to the side then looked over at Rochelle. Rochelle who was staring at me like she seen a ghost. “You motherfucka,” she said breaking loose from Justice and running over towards Rey.

CHAPTER 21

                                             ROCHELLE

I can’t believe Rey, after all the shit I been through with him and he gone do this to me. I wanted to kill that Spanish talking son of a bitch. Out of all the shit he has done to hurt me this topped the line. I wasn’t even happy he was home any more. If I could have it my way, I’ll lock his ass back up and make him pay for all the shit he has ever done to me.

I looked at the bitch that caused most of the problems in our relationship, then at Jaz. No matter how much I wanted to hate Jaz, I couldn’t. I love that girl so much, it’s crazy. If I would’ve known Tuesday was her mother before my son fell in love with her, I probably would’ve did everything in my power for them not to be together. Now that I look at the two of them, I don’t know how I could’ve missed the similarities. Jaz looked so much like her.

“What’s going on?” Mya asked.

“You remember the bitch, I was telling you about. The one that Rey couldn’t keep his hands off of. The bitch that turned my life upside down every chance she got? Well, that bitch is Ms. Tuesday Taylor.” I said and everybody looked over at her. She pissed me off when she waved like me calling her a home wrecker didn’t affect her.

“Mom, is this true?” Jaz asked.

“No, it’s not true and I’m not about to sit here and let you lie like that.” Rey said and I wanted to smack the shit out of him. How dare he take up for another bitch in my home? If my grandbabies weren’t here, I would kill the both of them. Justice told Jordan and Javier to go upstairs while the grownups talked. At this point, I didn’t have shit to say, what’s done is done.

Rey waited until the twins were gone before he spoke. “I did some shit in my life that I am not proud of and hurting the both of y’all was one of them. I was in love with two women at the same time. I still am, to keep it 100, as y’all kids say today. I’m a man and sometimes us men do some fucked up shit. But Chelle, don’t forget I was with…” a loud bang caught everybody’s attention. Harlem looked outside and shook his head.

“Bruh, you might want to come see this.” He said looking over at Justice.

“Ah shit,” I said walking outside. When I walked outside behind him, Tammi had crashed her car into Justice’s Bentley. You can tell by the look on his face that he was about to snap.

Tammi opened her door to get out but before she could take one step, this drunk bitch fell face forward hitting the ground. She got up like nothing happened and grabbed a bottle out the seat. “Well, well, well. I see y’all having a little family affair, where was my invite? Last I checked, I was a part of this family,” she slurred walking over.

“What the fuck you doing here, Tammi?” Justice said in his usually calm voice.

“I came to see my sons.”

“Go ahead with that bullshit, Tammi. You really think I want my boys around somebody like you. Look at you man, you’re drunk as shit. You can barely stand. That’s the only reason why I ain’t fucking you up right now over my car.”

“THEY ARE MY KIDS,” she screamed. “You want to take my kids from me, well I’ll have one ready for you in about five months.” She laughed and I looked over at Justice.

“Justice, what is she talking about?” Jaz asked him.

“Oh, he didn’t tell you? Well I’ve been fucking yo man crush Monday. He love this shit so much, that he knocked me up again.” she laughed rubbing her stomach.

Jaz looked over at Justice and you can see the hurt written all over her face. I felt real bad for her. She told me all about the shit her ex did to her and here my son was doing the exact same thing. “Mama, can you take me home?” She said with her eyes filled with tears.

“Baby listen, she is...” Justice tried to say but Jaz slapped the shit out of him. She tried to walk away but he grabbed her arm. “Jaz, just listen to me.” he pleaded.

“I don’t want to hear your lies, Justice. Let my arm go,” Jaz said snatching her arm away. “I guess we know now who your dream was about.” Jaz said to me before getting in the car. Tuesday looked back at me and winked.
Stupid trick,
I said to myself watching her pull off.

Justice asked for my keys and I told him they were on the kitchen counter.

“Let the hoe go. I told her you would always be mine. I gave you 2 kids, Justice. I aint going nowhere.” Tammi stated.

“Bitch, you don’t mean shit to me! You know just like I do that you ain’t pregnant and if you are its not mines. Get your fucking life together, Tammi. You are not allowed around my fucking boys. If I catch you even looking their way, ima kill yo ass.” He said before hopping in my car and pulling off.

“Somebody get this trash off my lawn.” I said before walking in the house to go check on Jordan and Javier. They was playing that damn game like usual. So, I went to go pour me a drink and put the food away. After wrapping the food up and giving everybody a to-go plate, I was damn near drunk from drinking the whole bottle of Patron. Mya came and kissed me goodbye. She apologized about everything. I told her she was ok and it wasn’t her fault. I could tell something was wrong with her but I didn’t want to pry. I walked her to her car and told her to call me if she needed me.

I didn’t know what was going on between her and Harlem and I really didn’t care right now. I had problems of my own to deal with. How can I help somebody when I needed it myself?

I walked in when Harlem was walking out. I kissed his cheek and told him that he needed to talk to Mya. He shook his head and walked out.

“What’s up with that shit you said today, Chelle?” Rey asked me.

“Why are you still here?” I asked taking a seat beside him.

“I didn’t ask you that. What was up with that shit you tried to lie about today?” he said eating a piece of chicken.

“You want to talk so let’s talk, is she?”

“Is she what?” he responded and I slapped him. “That’s going to be your last time putting your fucking hands on me, Rochelle. I let that shit slide earlier. Try it again and see what happens.”

“Nigga you aint going to do shit. Now, answer the fucking question, is she yours? Is Jaz your daughter?”
