CHAPTER 18

                                                        JAZMYN

Instead of going to meet Prince, I had Brandon come get me so we could hit up the mall. I wasn’t going anywhere near Prince. I told him I would meet him just to get him off my line and buy enough time to block his ass. I didn’t know what else to do to show him that I’m completely done with him. I’m sick of the constant calling, begging and pleading. The four years I’ve been with Prince, I never saw him beg or whine so much. It’s really pathetic. He’s only getting back what he did to me and I’m loving every bit of it.
If you can dish it out you should be able to take it,
I thought walking in the mall with Brandon.

“You heard from Samya?” he asked flipping his hair to the other side to look at me.

“Yea, I called her and asked if she wanted to come with us to the mall but she said she had to work. I think something’s up with her. She hasn’t been acting the same lately. I don’t know what it is but I think it’s got something to do with that guy that keeps calling her phone.”

“You talking about that Bryan dude?” Brandon asked.

“Yea, I told her to go get a restraining or block him from calling but she won’t listen to me. It’s got to be something with him she’s not telling me because she would’ve been checked his ass about blowing her up. She even said he’s pissing Harlem off. I know she don’t want to lose him behind that nigga.”

“Girl she don’t need no restraining order, all she need is a pistol with an empty clip. Next time he calls her phone, tell him to meet her somewhere. Right when he get ready to sit down, tell her to pull the gun out, cock it back and point it in his face. Tell him the next time he calls her phone this will happen and pull the trigger. When he hear that click, I bet you he won’t call her again. Now, he might leave shitty but I can promise you he won’t call her again.” Brandon said and had me dying laughing.

“Boy, you crazy.” I laughed stepping on the elevator.

“Speaking of crazy, bitch what the fuck you do to have my future baby daddy out there fighting that bum over you?” He said rolling his neck.

“Not shit, girl let me tell you. So you know I invited Knowledge to come out with me that night?” I asked and he nodded yea. I told him everything that happened that night from when I went back to Knowledge’s VIP table to how him and Justice ended up fighting. When I was finished, Brandon was holding his stomach laughing.

“Hold up so wait, Harlem knocked out Jaquan.” I said yea and he laughed harder. “Bitch that shit was live as fuck. No wonder that nigga was so salty in school yesterday. So you and Justice official yet?” he asked and I shrugged my shoulders.

“I really don’t know. After that shit happened in the club, I’ve been avoiding him. I pick up when he calls but when he drops by my place I act like I’m not home. What you think?” I asked holding up a dress.

“It’s cute for you” he replied and I put it back.

“Like I was saying yea girl, I be peeping and shit. After I make sure it’s not him, I’ll open the door.”

“Why? I don’t knock him for beating Knowledge’s ass. I would want my man to fuck a nigga up for pulling and grabbing on me. Yo ass just used to it. Prince done beat yo ass so much it don’t even bother you when a nigga grab on you do it.”

“Shut up and yes it does bother me. I don’t even want to talk about this anymore.” I said and he laughed.

“Will somebody give Jaz a snicker because she’s a little cranky when she’s hungry?” He said out loud and everybody looked our way. “Mind ya damn business. I wasn’t talking to you.” He told some lady who had her face scrunched up.

We tore the mall up going from store to store. I was shopping like I had it like that. I even dipped in my car money once or twice that I knew I will be regretting later. I was so used to spending over 5 g’s in the mall when I was with Prince that I haven’t adjusted to the lifestyle I’m living now. The four bedroom 3 bath house was now a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. The Range Rover I was pushing was now replaced with my two feet. Times like this I miss being with Prince but I’ll be damned if I take myself through that torture just to rock designer labels. Hell, Citi Trends ain’t so bad... what the fuck am I thinking? I hate Citi Trends.

My mind drifted off to Justice. I know he’ll treat me like a queen but it’s just something about him that screams playa and Lord knows I didn’t need another one of those. I like Justice and I really think we were meant to be together. I just didn’t want to end up getting hurt again by a man I fell so dangerously in love with. Justice looked like type that wasn’t going to give up easy. I know ima have to keep my guard up when I’m around him. One false move and I’ll be under his sexy ass spell.

Lord just give me a sign.
I closed my eyes and tilted my head back. It was as right on cue. I heard my name being called.

“Jaz,” I looked back to see Jordan and Javier running towards me.

“Hey, what are y’all doing here?” I said hugging the both of them.

“Shopping, you know we got to stay fresh for the ladies.” Javier said bumping Jordan’s shoulder.

“Uh un, Jaz you know these bad ass kids?” Brandon asked.

“Yea, they’re Justice’s twin boys.” I said and watch his face turn sour. He gave me a look like are you for real and I nodded.

“Well bitch you can have him. I don’t do men with kids, especially bad ones.”

“Good, cause my daddy don’t do ugly manly looking bitches.” Javier stated and I knew it was about to go down. I think Brandon found his match when it came to those two little boys. They had just as much mouth as he did.

“Nah bruh, I think that is a dude.” Jordan laughed.

“Well, he damn sure don’t do those. You saw that hottie dad brought to the crib last week? Bruh, I was trying to get my mack on but dad kept cock blocking.” Javier said dapping Jordan up. I couldn’t do nothing but shake my head. I asked them who they were here with and when they said their dad, I got butterflies.

“Girl, where the fuck is these little niggas manners?” Brandon asked popping his gum around.

“The same place you bumped yo head at coming out the house like that.” Jordan said and I tried not to laugh.

“He don’t know what she want to be when he grow up.” Javier said.

“Jaz, take them on girl. I fight other people kids.” Brandon laughed looking though the clothes rack.

“And I fight confused niggas that think they are girls. So what’s up? Javier said stepping closer.

Brandon started shuffling through the clothes rack like he lost his mind. “What you looking for Brandon?” I asked smiling because I knew he was about to say some crazy shit.

“Girl, Im trying… to find… where the fuck they...do that at.” He said and I laughed harder. “Girl, get these boys away from me because they must not know, ok.” I told them to take me where their father was before they had a chance to respond back.

We went down to the lower level to find Justice. I saw him and Harlem sitting at a table near the food court. Their back was turned to me so they couldn’t see us walking up.

“So you just let two little kids roam around this big ass mall all by themselves.” I said and Justice turned around and ended his call. My phone just so happened to ring so I checked to see who it was. I looked down at it and blushed. “Were you just trying to call me?” I asked.

“Yes I was, I’ve been calling you all day. See how she do me?” he looked over at Harlem.

“Boy whatever, you only called me once today, well twice.” I said taking a seat beside him.

“Well, if you saw me calling then why didn’t you pick up?” he asked looking down at his phone.

“I didn’t think I had to!” I said and Harlem told the boys he would take them to footlocker.

Justice stopped playing with his phone to look at me. I tried to match his gaze but my palms started sweating.
What is this man doing to me?
I thought when he licked his lips. He pulled my chair closer to him and touched my chin. The look he was giving me had me turned on. If he said let me bend you over this table, I wouldn’t hesitate to say yes. He tried to kiss me but I turned my head playing hard to get. He gently turned my face to him and planted a soft kiss on my lips. I accepted it by kissing him back. He parted my lips with his tongue before slipping it in my mouth. By now, my panties were soaked. I haven’t had sex in months and I was horny as fuck. Kissing Justice wasn’t helping my situation at all. I knew people were watching and I was kind of embarrassed but Justice wouldn’t let me go. I wrapped my arms around his neck saying fuck it until he pulled back.

“Now when I call you, I expect you to pick up and don’t think I don’t know about you not answering the door when I come see you. That shit stops today, Jaz.” He demanded. I wanted to say yes daddy but stuck with ok instead. We were talking about us until Brandon texted me asking where I was and that he was ready to go. I texted him back telling him where I was at and for him to come over. We finished up our conversation until Brandon showed up. I told Justice I would call him later then stood up to leave. He made me promise to call him; I did and kissed his lips. I grabbed my bags when Harlem and the twins walk over. I prayed they wouldn’t start with Brandon and was surprised when they walked right past him.

“You leaving already? They asked at the same time.

“Yes, I have to work in the morning. I been up all day and I’m tired. Maybe if it’s ok with your dad, y’all can stay with me this weekend.” They looked at Justice for an answer and said please. Brandon acted like he was coughing but I knew he was trying to be funny.

“Come on dad, it be boring at Nana’s.” Javier said.

“That’s fine with me.” Justice replied with a sly grin and Harlem smirked. He said they would be by Friday but he’ll see me later.

“Make sure you leave the he/she at home.” Javier said and Brandon rolled his eyes. I told them bye and walked off with Brandon talking shit.

                                                                                    ****

Friday came sooner than I expected. Justice would be here any second to drop the boys off and I was nowhere near ready. The apartment was clean and I made sure the fridge was stocked. My nerves were all over the place. I never really kept kids before and to go the whole weekend alone with Jordan and Javier at that, had me second guessing why I even asked that question. I was about to call Justice and say never mind that something came up but I didn’t want to hurt the twin’s feelings. “How bad can it be?” I asked myself going to start lunch, just in case they were hungry.

I opened my fridge and took out some ground beef and French fries. I sat the beef on top of the stove and turned the oven on so it could thaw out easily. Justice texted saying they would be here in a couple hours, so to buy some time I hopped in the shower to freshen up. I turned the water on hot and stripped down to my birthday suit. I lathered my sponge with Japanese Cherry Blossom body wash from Victoria Secret and washed my entire for about 10 minutes. I then let my hair down to shampoo it. I hate washing my hair due to the fact that is was so thick and long. I towel dried it and left it curly.

By the time I was finished getting dressed, the beef was thawed and ready. I put it in a hot skillet adding onions, bell peppers, and seasoning. I put the fries in the oven and turned it down a little. I grabbed me a wine cooler out the fridge and stirred the meat. By the time the food was finished Justice and the boys were knocking at the door.

“Hey Jaz,” the twins said at the same time. I said hello and stepped to the side so they could come in.

“Where do you want us to put our stuff?” Jordan asked.

“Where you put it last time, don’t act like y’all haven’t been here before. Make sure y’all put your bags in the closet.” I said while they walked off. I looked at Justice and he asked what I cooked. I told him Manwhich and fries but it was for the twins.

“What about me?” he asked pulling me to him by my waist.
I got something for you to eat.
I thought smiling

“I don’t know if I made enough for you.”

“I wasn’t talking about the food, ma” he said before kissing my lips.

“You ain’t ready,” I teased. Justice has been here for the past two days and still haven’t made a move yet. I was kind of pissed too because he was all talk that day at the mall but I haven’t even seen his dick yet. I was more than ready. I was just waiting on him but getting dicked down won’t be happening this weekend, even if I wanted it to. I told Justice that it was just me and the twins and he wasn’t allowed.

“You sure about that?” He palmed my ass. “You want to know what I think.” I kissed his lips and asked what. “I think you’re scared you’re going to fall in love with a nigga.” He smiled showing off those dimples I love so much.

“Boy please,” I said and pushed him away. “So, what do I do? Do they have a specific bedtime? Is there anything I need to know as far as their health? They’re not allergic to anything are they?” I said trying to change the subject.

“Nah chill.” He laughed. “They’re not allergic to nothing and as far as you doing anything they’re 7 not 2.”

“Oh I was just asking. I don’t want anything to happen while they're in my care.”
