Within moments of the bedroom door closing, they were
undressed, both men against her sensitive skin, their needy cocks hard and
flush against her.

Their kisses were
insistent, their bodies insatiable as they made love to her over and over again
through the night.

The following
morning, they would be in the air, flying to meet their destiny.

Tonight, they would love each other well and
fill the emptiness she’d seen all too much of.

Thierry stood at the top of the jet’s stairs waiting
for everything to be loaded into the cabin, his arms filled with the last of
the bags.

Both females were in the
cabin, seated and conversing in the back corner, deep in discussion.

Gabriel and Michel hadn’t been happy about
bringing the female out so soon after her incident, but
Kadence
was fully healed and ready to join in the fight.

Matthias and Alain fit the bags into the
compartments inside as Nicolas did his pre-flight checks.

Thierry watched the two females in the back.

Jealousy bit into him a bit.

His thoughts went to the delicate fighter
with another wicked punch, the warrior.

Thierry was sure she had to be the third of the five, as he’d never seen
a woman fight so well in his very long life.

Dark hair and dark eyes had pinned him on the tarmac when they’d fought
the Illuminati a few days earlier, when
Kadence
had
been wounded.

With a sword slicing through flesh and bone, the dark
Pacific Islander beauty had performed a macabre dance of death and destruction,
leaving a wake of bodies behind her.

The woman had also come close to destroying
Paloma
; the woman who’d nearly crushed Michel and was
apparently a high-ranking Illuminati soldier.

Paloma
had been pure evil in life, so it
hadn’t come to their surprise to find her pulling the strings a few hundred
years later.

But how did the warrior
know about their battle with
Paloma
, enough to put
her in that spot, with swords blazing?

A speck in the distance flitted and caught his
attention.

A lone figure was walking across the empty field
between two runways, directly toward the open bay of the hangar.

He stood at the top of the stairs, his gaze
following the figure and trying to determine
whom
it
could be.

Lifting his hand, he elevated
it to the hilt of his sword and slowly raised it from its sheath as he
descended the steps.

The sharp twang of
metal on metal must have caught Matthias’ and Alain’s attention, as they
followed him, swords lifted.

Thierry
quickly glanced at Matthias and back to the figure, which had begun to run in
their direction.

Thierry planted his feet in a defensive position, his
sword raised.

Matthias and Alain were at
his side in seconds, the glitter of the sun shining off their swords washing
over his face.

He trained his eye on the figure as it approached and
out to the surrounding fields to determine if there were others coming in for a
sneak attack.

His vision picked up no
other movement around them, but the fine hairs on the nape of his neck stood up
at attention.

“Thierry, it’s her.”

Thierry’s gaze returned to the lone figure, and it
took a moment for Alain’s words to filter through.

He froze for a second as he recognized her
features.

It was the warrior.

Her weapon wasn’t drawn, but he’d seen her fighting on
the tarmac before they’d taken off and knew she was as deadly with her fists as
she was with a blade.

He didn’t lower
his weapon.

She slowed her approach as
she neared, her stare locking on Thierry.

She stopped five feet from them, looking even more
beautiful than she had the night at the airport.

Her long, dark silky locks were floating
around her, the spring air casting them around impatiently.

Her near almond-shaped eyes hinted at
European ancestry as well, a beautiful blending of east and west.

Her body was curvaceous, with firm
musculature that made Thierry want to caress every inch. She wore no makeup and
a utilitarian black sweater along with
camo
pants and
military issue boots.

She was the sexiest thing he’d ever seen.

“I hear you guys may need my help.”

“Help?

And you are?”

Kailani
.

Kailani
McDaniel.”

The warrior placed a palm
before Thierry, ready for him to shake it.

He lowered his sword, but could see from his periphery that Matthias and
Alain had not.

They would have his back
if she tried anything funny.

He took her small hand in his and drew her closer to
him.

“What are you doing here?”

“Relax.

Gaia
sent me.”

Thierry let go of her hand and stepped back,
incredulous.

“And how do you know Gaia?”

“She hired me.”

Thierry chuckled.

“And what did Gaia hire you to do?

I’ve already seen your skill set, or is there more?

Cooking?

Light cleaning?

Perhaps a little bookkeeping?”

“Gaia ordered me to
Germany
, but sent me a message
while I was in the air to meet you here at this airfield.

She hired me to kill
Paloma
,
but now it seems I have to babysit you.”

Kailani
paused for a second and looked over
each of the three men.

“From the way I
see it, you guys are great bait for the bitch, so I’m trying to see this as
win-win.”

Thierry turned to look at Alain and Matthias, both of
whom still clasped their weapons and were ready for a fight.

Never would he consider them
bait
.

Paloma
is Michel’s to
kill.

Gaia knows that.

She wouldn’t hire an outsider to take
Paloma
down.”

“Michel fell at her hands in
Spain
five
hundred years ago and then again a few nights ago.

He’s too emotional to do the deed, whereas
I’ll do the job for the right price.”

Thierry was shocked for a moment that
Kailani
seemed to know their history.

She knew Michel had been alive hundreds of
years ago.

What more did she know?

He kept his cool, determined not to give away
his surprise by asking more questions in that vein.

“Paid mercenary, I should have guessed.”

Thierry’s heart sank for a moment.

He had already known she was a master fighter
and had killed men as he’d watched, but somehow learning she was a killer for hire
made him a bit queasy.

Yet isn’t that basically what he’d been as a
Templar?

The church had paid him to
protect the supposed innocent on their pilgrimages, killing the infidels that
crossed their path?

Yes, he’d been under
the impression he was helping a higher power, but so was she.

She yielded to the almighty dollar instead of
the Almighty.

Had he been so different
from this woman?

Perhaps not, but he was different now.

He had never taken pleasure in the kill, had
never elevated it to the art form she had.

She’d painted that tarmac in blood, and he’d been transfixed as he’d
watched her.

“A job’s a job.

I take care of the people no one else can.”

“And how do we know what you’ve told us is the
truth?

This could be one huge trap, and
we would be playing right into your hands.”

Kailani
crossed her arms over her chest and stared him down a moment.

“I’m the warrior.

Another piece you’ll want to fit into your
new little puzzle.

Unfortunately for you
all, I won’t fit exactly as you expect.”

“What do you
know of the story?”

“That I am supposedly
one of the five to help Gaia save the world when the new Armageddon comes.”

“New Armageddon?”

“I believe she has some great technical term for it,
but I don’t recall what it was at this moment.

Basically, the shit’s about to hit the fan.

Again.

It isn’t the first time, and it most
definitely won’t be the last, but the daughters of Gaia need to protect the
earth.

The Illuminati are going into
overdrive so they can help the coming darkness.

The
Middle East
is a crazy shithouse
right now, terrorism is on the rise, and the world markets are crashing around
us.

Who do you
think’s
to blame?

The more chaos they can
provide,
all the
better for the coming fight.”

“Good and evil have fought
for
years, that’s
not new.”

“No, the games they play with souls are just the
appetizer.

According to Mother Nature, the
entrée is the actual battle
royale
that will take
place on home turf here.”

“As in a true battle?”

“Can’t get one past you, can I?

Yes,
a true battle just like
the humans do
it.

Unless we can convince them otherwise.”

“And how does that happen?”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself, sport.

For now, the plan is to take down
Paloma
and two other Illuminati generals as well as find
the sorceress and the princess.

Which
reminds me, why are you headed back to
Canada
?

Didn’t you just get here?”

Britt broke through the men and faced
Kailani
, looking the woman over.

Thierry briefly wondered if he was about to
see a catfight, especially when he saw the blue fire circling in Britt’s
eyes.

“We’re off for
intel
on a new Illuminati weapon.

They may
have bullets which can implant evil in people.”

Kailani
looked Britt over meticulously.

“If I completely believe
Gaia’s
line about
being one of her daughters, that means I have a sister who is a blonde haired
Viking.”

“I just found out this story yesterday myself, so I
really hadn’t had time to consider who the others are at all.”

Kailani
smirked.

“Well, Healer, it’s
a pleasure to meet you.”

“My name’s Britt, not Healer.”

Britt extended a hand.

Kailani
took it and
introduced herself as well.

“Now that that’s all over and done with, how much
longer before we’re in the air?”
