  3. Ellene held such a strong grudge against Connor, she didn’t want to work on the project for him. Have you ever held such a strong grudge against someone, that it affected your behavior?
  4. Aunt Phyllis knew her Bible and followed God’s will for Christians to be peacemakers. Do you know anyone who uses their gifts to bring peace to dissenting individuals?
  5. Though Caitlin loved her daddy, she felt the loss of her mother deeply. Have you known a child who had to deal with a loss? What helped the child?
  6. Ellene was stranded on Harsens Island. Have you ever been stranded in a situation that forced you to make the best of a bad situation? Was your attempt successful?
  7. Ellene blamed Connor for their breakup, but she finally realizes it usually takes two people to create a problem. Have you ever blamed someone for a problem and then learned you were as much at fault? What did you learn from that?
  8. Having intimacy before marriage is too common today. How did this sin affect Ellene’s and Connor’s lives? How do you deal with this problem as it affects your family and friends?
  9. Did you think it was realistic for Connor to be more upset with Ellene’s lack of trust than with the secret she told him? Why or why not?
