Waking up tattooed, mated and a werewolf would shock most people but for Siddalee Brighton it’s just another day.

Siddalee has always held a burning hunger for her best friend, werewolf Jasper Gandillion. But she never realized what belonging to the animal within him would mean until he marks her in a show of passion and dominance, awakening the werewolf inside her. Siddalee was the first of many illegal breeding experiments that the Luna Werewolf Nation Alpha, Dane Velham, created and the only one strong enough to stop the monster from torturing other women and creating more experiments.

Will being the daughter of the monster who slaughtered Jasper’s pack destroy the love and lust between Siddalee and Jasper, or will they emerge as the new Alphas of the Luna Werewolf Nation?

Prologue

Romania, Winter 2010

Jasper Gandillion crashed onto the icy ground, blood splattering from his nose onto the white snow. He stared as the serene white turned crimson and melted into a slither of red. Someone’s ass would be dead for that blood spill. Bouncing from the cold ground like the Alpha Wolf he was, he sailed through the frigid air to tackle the beast circling him. Howls of pain racketed through the night from the other wolf. He stumbled backward away from Jasper’s now bloody canines.

Velham’s mongrel wouldn’t make it back to report that a Gandillion wolf still lived. The filthy Red Moon wolf sprayed the ground with blood. A thud signaled the falling of yet another rabid beast. Death took the beast in her grasp, leaving Jasper to find his way home. Romania had claimed the past four years of his life, but no longer. With the questions regarding his missing pack answered, he had all the information he needed to revive his lost pack. Now it was time to claim the Luna Nation. And his mate. God help her.

Chapter One

Red Hills, Georgia, Days Later

The black screen door of Sidda’s home slapped closed behind Jasper. His blood roared in his ears as her mother screamed out a warning. Sidda wasn’t alone. His mate had gone to the cabin with another man. Now it was time for that man to die. No one touched Jasper’s mate, no matter if she’d fully accepted her fate or not. She was his.

Without regard for Sidda’s mother, he shed his clothes, energy snapping around him as bone after bone shortened then conformed to quickly change man to beast. His skin blazed with the lengthening and growing of his fur. One lunge had him flying forward, his hands and feet bursting into paws as he landed with an earth-shaking force. With a final growl of pure determination to get to his mate, he surged into the woods.

The woods were silent while he raced toward the small log cabin. The same abandoned cabin his best friend Cole and Sidda had taken him to when he’d shifted into a pup, so Sidda and Cole would think he was just an abandoned wolf pup. How she could take another man there grated on his every nerve. With each paw step, he became angrier. He tried to push his beast’s rage back some, but failed. Not only did his beast want to rip Sidda’s boy toy to shreds, he wanted to taste the man’s blood. The clearing where the cabin stood came into view, and he stopped.

Siddalee, his Sidda, walked out of the small cabin. She shut the door behind her and then moved to gather a few logs from the stack of wood. Jasper waited and stared. Any minute the worthless asshole she’d brought with her would come out, and Jasper would pounce. His eyes roamed over Sidda. Her body curved and dipped in all the right places. Full round breasts concealed behind a flimsy tank top set a blaze of lust within him. Her flared hips and gorgeous ass were barely covered in a pair of pajama shorts that he ached to rip off. For a split second the whispered warning from Ms. Angela filtered through the fog of rage…Sidda wasn’t alone. Was she with another wolf? The thought sent a fresh wave of anger through him. He took a step forward.

A limb broke under his paw. He waited, and slowly she turned to face him in the darkness. How she knew where he was or even that it was him amazed Jasper. His heart raced with anticipation. If she ran from him, he’d chase her, and God help her when he caught her.

A second passed before he took a step, and his paw snapped another limb. Her mouth drew into a thin line, and she dropped the logs. She gazed out to where he stood near the wood line of the forest with her hands on her luscious curved hips. If he were in human form, he’d smile at her “You bastard, I hate you” glare. She knew how to glare, that was for sure.

Jasper licked his muzzle, clearing the taste of mud, grass, and dead leafs. He sniffed the air, letting her familiar scent fill him. The aroma of her calmed a small part of his beast. Just having her near him settled some of the tension he held. Her calmness had first drawn him to her as a lone, injured pup. Her compassion had melted his fear and distrust away. But at the moment not even that could settle all of the rage burning him alive. He stalked forward. The sound of cracking limbs and rustling leafs broke the heated silence.
