Her man … Damn, she still couldn’t believe where their relationship had gone over the last six months. Evan had taken her places that she’d never thought she’d go. He pushed her boundaries and explored her limitations, but never once had he gone somewhere she couldn’t handle. She was stronger, more confident, and more in love than she’d ever been in her life. Grinning, she dabbed on the lipstick he loved so much, especially when she left it all over his cock.

Leaving the bathroom, she walked to the centre of their bedroom – they’d moved into a new house together just the month before – and took her position on the cushion in the middle of the floor. She knelt demurely, no longer self-conscious in her semi-nude state, and, with her hands clasped in her lap, she waited.

It didn’t take long before she heard him, and her entire body quickened just from the knowledge that he was there. She was tuned to him in a way she’d never been with anyone else. Her nipples went instantly tight and her pussy swelled.

He surprised her, though. Rather than coming to stand before her and offering his cock to suck, he knelt behind her and took her into his arms, wrapping her in a warm, tight hug.

‘Claire, I have something special for you tonight. I was going to wait and do something elaborate, but I don’t want to wait.’

Gripping her shoulders gently, he turned her to face him. Cupping her cheeks, he leant in and kissed her. Claire’s heart leapt in her chest and her breath began to hitch. As he broke the kiss, she roamed his beloved face and waited, not daring to hope.

He stroked her cheek and smiled at her. The love in his face was so profound tears welled in her eyes, which he leant in and kissed. Releasing her, he reached behind him, and Claire gasped as she saw the red velvet box that was the signature of a local jeweller. As he opened it, she took in the platinum ring that delicately supported the diamond flashing a rainbow of colour in the evening light.

Tears flowed freely down her cheeks as Evan smiled at her and said, ‘Will you marry me, Claire?’

Unable to contain herself, she laughed and cried and said, ‘Yes.’

Grinning, Evan slipped the ring onto her finger. It was a perfect fit.
