"Okay, well let's hear it." Deidre encouraged.

Mundo stepped forward, "First of all, depending on if she's going to school or not, you need to provide a vehicle - that is the safest on the road..." He cheesed, "You gone need to get her, a Hummer!"

Sylvia turned to her son, "I'm gone kill you!"

"What mama?! What I say, I'm just saying, if she gone have the best protection money can buy."

Angela died laughing, because she knew how bad he wanted a Hummer.

Jeremiah looked at Deidre, "Why do you think I have one? He's right - if you're gonna do it right, do it all the way!"

Deidre turned to Charlie, "Make a list, put a Hummer at the top."

It took Mundo every single muscle, fibre and sinew not to break into a dance, as it was, he was doing all he could not to start grinning, nor look at his mother. He cut to Ben, who stood shaking his head laughing, "Dude, you need to give lessons."

"Okay Mundo, what else?"

Mundo straightened his back, got serious and said, "The panic room needs to be reachable from everyone point in the home. Let's say, whomever, tries to get to her, sets the house on fire to flush us out? We don't head out of the house, we head for the panic room and out. Because you gone have your boys dig underground leading away from the crib. Everyone that goes into the panic room, will know, just like if there's a fire, where the designated spot to meet will be - and then we head underground and down the tunnel that cannot be seen, because it's under earth - get my meaning? It can go away from the house as far as you can afford to take it. Wherever it ends, that's where we come out, the exit can be camouflaged to look like anything you want, a tree, a barn, another home, whatever. I'll leave that part up to you and your peops who gone engineer it."

Charlie nodded, "He's right on the money, it's actually, safer than having her here. In fact, we'll have a few guards watching her like we did when they arrived, blending into the country side. She should also keep her bodyguard. And one last thing, you need to get with whomever you can, to block the media from ever reporting anything about you, your family, your name, the Wherringtons - ever again. Time to become like the Rothschilds, you notice they're never in the news? That's what keeps people off of them, out of sight, out of hearing, out of mind. Even if someone tries something with them, it's never reported, so you don't get copy-cat repeats."

Deidre stood nodding, thinking about it, "I can do that. Better yet, my mother can do that."

"Will she?"

"Yeah, we're talking about my daughter's life - I'll make sure she does it." Deidre then turned to Sylvia. "Only problem there might be in this, is Shawn. He hates my family, hates my money - and won't wish anything to do with it, especially when it comes to putting it in his home."

"Well it's my home too! You let me worry about him. Besides, he loves his daughter, a whole lot more, than he could ever hate the Wherrington's and their wealth. Let's do this, shall we? You do what you can on your end, and I will take care of my end."

Smiling, Deidre walked up to Sylvia and held out her hand, Sylvia grasped it and shook it. "You're not loosing your daughter Deidre."

She nodded, finishing the shake, accepting things once and for all as to the way it would be, "I know - thank you. And yes, let's do this." Deidre turned to Charlie, "Charlie, let's do this, get my daughter set up in Wisconsin please?"

"I'll set'em up almost as good as the first family baby, leave it to me Dee-Dee, I got it covered!"

Chapter 266

Chicago...

Friday morning, Vivian walked in to work with everyone calling out to her, "Good Morning! Last morning, good for you!" -or- "You lucky dog! I wish a man would come and sweep me off my feet, take me away to domestic bliss! Girl you don't know how lucky you are!" -or- "You'll be back!" And the majority all around, congratulating her. When she reached her floor, she saw in the corner a large section cleared where a table sat piled high with gifts as many decided to use this as their bridal shower opportunity send off. And there were lots of things, she couldn't believe it. The sight of it brought tears to her eyes, bringing up fears of leaving and wishing there was another way. After taking her time through the throng of well wishers, talking to persons she'd worked with, but hadn't the time to really talk on a personally level with, she found herself with them now, pulled this way and that to tell a little bit about where she was going. The man she was marrying and the plans to start having a family immediately. She wasn't surprised to learn that Dean had taken the lead in filling everyone in on what was happening and that he expected everyone to bring her a gift. Just about all he spoke with, did. Under the circumstances, Vivian was glad that she had the truck.

By the time she made it into her office, she was ready to cry.

Sitting and staring off into space, what went through her mind was how, one moment she was wearing a red dress posing and posturing for a cowboy that she'd practically fallen for at first sight, and the next moment, this? Leaving her job, giving up her independence and moving to a small town in Wisconsin where the majority were white. She wasn't sure which number of black citizens she made it up to, but she knew there were yet to be 10 there all together after she joined the numbers. She wasn't sure how she would cope with that, day in and day out. Yes, there was Sylvia and Crystal - but there would be no Sheila. She wasn't sure she could handle that. She knew her phone bill - correction, their phone bill - hers and Jake's - was going to be sky high! She knew that it would be a miracle if she wasn't calling Sheila everyday, if not sometimes twice a day.

She reached for the phone right then, dialling her up. As soon as Sheila answered Vivian blurted, "This is my last day of work Sheila, my last day! Today is that day! It's Friday Sheila, today - tonight, he comin' to get me?!" She panicked, feeling on verge of an anxiety attack.

Sheila shook her head laughing, "Chile you need to calm down! Is you in love or not?"

"Sheila, I'm about to give up my job! My j-o-b - do you hear me! I have never been without a job! How did we get to this Sheila? What happened to him saying he was gone try to go to school, come here and live with me, so he could get a degree in something?"

"Girlfriend, that was your idea - obviously he dismissed the notion. Don't forget that lil'china man had a lot to do with rushing this up for you."

"I think I'm gone be sick Sheila!"

"Take a minute to breathe - take a few deep ones, exhale and get on with it. Because ain't but one way out of it! Now I don't mean to be playing hard ball with you, but you wanted this man remember? Was cryin' over him, couldn't even see straight, now you got'em - what's going on?"

"I'm having to give up everything Sheila, everything!"

"Vivian it ain't like you don't have the skills, experience and work record to find something else if you need to. You startin' off a whole lot better than most women! Hell, you startin' off better than I was! I married right out of high school! My skills consist of taking care of my man, my home and my kids! Now that's scary! Anything happens to Dennis, what would I do?"

"You got insurance! Dennis has you and the boys covered, you won't ever have anything to worry about."

"Vivian! What the hell is going on with you? This fear, this ain't about no money, or job - this about somethin' else, what is it?"

"I'm just scared."

"Of what Vivian?"

She sat holding her head in her hand, nibbling on her lip, "Of him."

"Jake?"

"Yes."

"Scared how?" Sheila asked.

"Everything, I'm scared of everything about him. I can't control him Sheila. He's really domineering. He's insistent! He's dead set on getting me pregnant - asap! And you know I have only been with one man in my life, and he didn't mess with me much Sheila, because he had a wife at home, so he wasn't always up in my face. And when he was there, I could handle him. You know what I mean?"

"Yes, I know what you mean."

"Sheila, Jake wants sex all the damn time! And you know what, I'm gone tell you just like it is, his dick too damn big to be trying to shove it up my ass every time I bend over!"

"He be tryin' ta'shove it up yo'ass!" Sheila joked as if shocked.

"Sheila why can't you be serious just one time! Stop playin'! You know what I mean - ain't no man puttin' his thang in my ass, for-get that! Ain't no man in existence I love so much I let him wear ALL my shit - out! Hell no!"

"Okay!? Damn straight there, so that's what got you scared, that you can't handle him?"

"His shit - hurts - girl!"

"You need to learn to relax and give into what he doin'."

"Sheila I have tried that! My stupid ass even went so far as to try and turn it on him, what a joke! And the stuff he says to me Sheila! He ain't got no shame! No damn shame at all, his nasty ass!"

Sheila was laughing on the other end.

"What's funny Sheila, what's funny?!"

"You so s'diddy, you know that?"

"I ain't s'diddy!"

"You s'diddy, Sylvia - s'diddy!" She went on to firmly say.

"Excuse me, what makes us, s'diddy?!"

"I don't know which is worse! I love you both, but you have your moments when anything but proper - is just unacceptable. And ain't nothing wrong with that, you know. Lots of women don't like cursing, using bad language and don't want certain things said around them. But as for what men say, you got your work cut out for you. Men for the most part only comes two ways, and every now and then, you'll get one in the middle, he's real rare. But most men are either super respectful, treating you like a lady no matter what - or-they are nasty dogs! And you don't know which one you have, until you move in with him. Because both, start out looking and sounding the same - until they get you! Only time a dog start off showing you he a dog, is if you a dog yourself! But if you something special, and that dog want you, he's a good boy in the beginning, but the minute he got you in the bag, all them little things he been keepin' hid, start to come out."

"Does Dennis say really nasty stuff to you?"

"Shit, I say some nasty ass shit to him! We get to going in that room, and don't let the boys be gone somewhere and we got the house to our self, ah chile - cover your ears! Is he just nasty and don't turn you on, I mean, if he gone be nasty, at least he need to be takin' care of business - does he get you there?"

"Gurl please! We ain't got that problem, at all! Okay? Let's get that cleared up now, his problem is he don't get enough. When he turn me loose Sheila, my ass be so tender, sore I want to be left alone! Down low I'm all achy after him, and if I don't say no, he'll be on me again." Vivian turned away from the door, whispering into the phone as if afraid someone else would hear her, "This man, don't want nothing but to get in some pussy - al-l-l-ll the time! That's the main thing that scares me."

"Emmmmmm emph! Well you bes' get used to it - 'cause you gone be right there with'em. He that big?"

"Yes! Too damn big for me! We was all talkin' about it at the barbecue at Sylvia's, remember?"

"We was talkin' 'bout Merible's problem, you ain't said nothin' about Jake bein' a problem!"

"'Cause we wasn't doin' nothin' then! It didn't start until after you all left. You was talkin' 'bout how big Dennis is, see - that's one of the reasons why my ass didn't want no black man, shit! I don't like it to hurt - how do you deal with that? I can tell you now, my ass was not constructed for no big ass penis! You need to tell me how to deal with it!"

"How am I supposed to tell you how to deal with it, everybody made different. Some women can take it on with no problem, other's can't. I read somewhere you have to be really turned on and then it don't hurt."

"Bull! That shit don't always matter - I be as turned on as you can get - but when he climb on and get to going, all I can think of is, Lord please, make this man come already. Thing about Jake, he like to ride it a while, he ain't in no hurry. You know what he did the last time? He bought a ring to put on it! Shit, he need one more!"

"Gurl you must be crazy, there are women out here that will pay for a man like that, shit!"

"Well, I might just have to pimp his ass, make some money on the side and get him to leave me alone!" She joked.

Sheila laughed, "You crazy, you know doggone well you ain't 'bout to share that man!"

"I'm just talkin' mess. Sittin' up here on the phone with you and I'm at work, let me get off this phone."

"You should've brought your ass here and spent the day with me instead of going in there, hell - this your last day anyway."

"Hell with that, I love you - but they done went all out and bought bridal shower gifts, that alone - made it worth coming in!" Vivian grinned, feeling one hundred percent better from just talking to Sheila - that was one of the reasons leaving her behind would be hard.

"Oh - I see how you is! Be that way then. After tomorrow, yo'ass ain't gone have me no more, you'll appreciate me then!"

"You know I'm gone be calling you everyday! And when I'm on the phone with you, tell Dennis don't be takin' up my time either standing in the background talkin' no mess!" She instructed right away, loving the sound of Sheila's laughter carrying through the line to her. "Girl, I got to go, I'll be catching up with you later before we leave."

"Long as you feel better."

"I do, I'm just trippin' - I'll be all right."

"And we know this - it can be no other way my sista'! Get your presents and bring'em home so I can see'em before you go."

"Will do, bye bye - luv'ya sis!"

"I love you too."

Madison, Wisconsin

They were glad to be home.

The hustle and bustle of unloading the van and getting everyone to grab this, or grab that, take in a bit extra with them as they went was underway. Luis was the first at the door unlocking it with his arms full. He was supposed to put down what he carried in and then come back out to see if he needed to grab anything else, but since those words hadn't actually been spoken, he pretended not to know the routine. For him, priority one, was set down all and head for the bathroom. Thing was, he could go to the bathroom upstairs, but choosing that one meant while he was up there, unpack his stuff and put it away. He wasn't interested in that. So the best bathroom to use was the one downstairs, it was near the big TV and the Playstation. Heading down he made a bee-line for the bathroom, took care of business there, came out pretending not to hear his mother, and brother call him and made his way to the sofa to get the remote.
