Derrick nodded, gazing into her eyes, he lifted his arm, his hand out to her, palm up, gesturing that she come to him. She ignored it.
"Please Meri - don't let her win, don't let her drive a wedge between us."
"Do you want me to order over the phone? Go to the store and pick something up to cook, or we can take them out?"
"I want you to come to me, here, now." He pleaded instead.
Meribel stood staring at him, her sense of fear was starting to lead to paranoid thoughts directed at him.
Derrick finally let his arm drop, unable to keep it out to her any longer. "Why are you doing this Meri? Why are you looking at me that way?"
"If you must know, I'm scared. I'm scared of trusting you. What if you two are in this together, what if this is a plan to drive me away and I'm being stupid by staying and fighting for you? What if you two have been laughing behind my back and I'm setting myself up for being the last to know. What if-..."
"Stop it!..." He cut her off, her words brought Derrick to his feet and to her, he grabbed her more roughly than he'd intended, and shook her while grinding out through tight teeth, "... how could you even consider such a thing!? You know me Meri - you know me!" He shook her again, tears in his own eyes now. Meribel didn't fight him, she could only stare up at him, "I'm sorry, but - I'm too scared, to - trust anyone right now - even you. Because everything you've done, is to protect her - instead of me."
Derrick bared his teeth almost growling in frustration, because he'd already explained why he couldn't, wouldn't do what she wanted him to. Give her Margaret's location. He let her go as if she burned him and turned away from her. She stood in place and asked again, "Food? The kids are hungry, remember?"
Derrick stood next to the van, breathing hard - feeling as if his head would explode from the anxiety of this situation. He snatched the drivers door open and got in calling back to her, "Call'em, we'll go out to eat!" He blazed, angry. Not necessarily at her, but at this dilemma where there seemed to be no immediate solution.
In the van, after locking up the house, they pulled out on the way to where they would be eating, it was a little after lunch time. Meribel was the one who had to ask the kids where they wanted to eat while Derrick sat quiet, not speaking to anyone, driving. The census from all was Chinese food. There was a new restaurant that opened up, with a lunch buffet - "All you can eat." It was a pretty fancy place, had been going up all year long, Derrick had been noticing it on the way home from work. The place boasted pleasure for all, which when opened, would start with lunch buffets, and a side room bar area for those who would like to drink perhaps waiting for a table or just to unwind after work.
Derrick headed there, he figured the family would enjoy it. He'd had his eye on it for a while so that when it was open for business, he would take them there. Today seemed to be as good a day as any, the place had been open for over two weeks now. As soon as he pulled into the parking lot, everyone grew excited, anxious to give the new restaurant a try. He figured the food must be really good, because here it was late mid-day and the parking lot was practically full.
Parking, they all headed inside. There was already a short line for a table or area. They were in no hurry and decided to wait it out. The kids were discussing what they wanted, Shawn2 and Sasha moved out of the line to look into the restaurant. What they saw impressed them so much that Sasha went back and got her mother, "Mami, come look, this place is nice." She held her by the hand to pull her into the dinning area to look at things. Because she and Derrick weren't talking much, she went against her usual decorum and let her daughter pull her further into the place to look around.
The restaurant was done up in stunning Asian styles, complete with strategically placed aquariums, a fountain that flowed down the center of the room dividing the bar area from the dinning room, lamps, plants, the decor, all of it, top notch. As Meribel stood looking around, her eyes went naturally towards the bar area, and to her surprise, there stood a group of people laughing and talking at the bar, one of them - Margaret Wheeler.
The moment her eyes set on her, everything she'd felt about her came to the surface. Without hesitation she made her way down the long part of the fountain stream-like, to cross over a little bridge into the bar, with Sasha following her, thinking she was wishing to see it closer. As she walked towards Margaret, it was to see her back to her, as she hadn't noticed Meribel in the restaurant. Margaret was laughing and talking to a man at the time, apparently in the midst of others who were teachers from the school who made plans to meet there.
"How very interesting puta! So you can go for other men I see, but then, perhaps he is married too, like my husband!" Meribel started out, loud enough for all those within the group to turn to her, including Margaret. The moment she turned to see Meribel, her face turned red, her eyes grew wide, fear and humiliation washing over her as she realized that Meribel was going to make a scene.
Meribel looked at the man Margaret had been speaking with saying, "So where is your wife? At home waiting for you maybe? I assume you married because this puta here, she only likes men she can't have! Like my husband! You know she's a stalker? Beware, or you'll be next - trying to break up your marriage."
Embarrassed, the man looked from Meribel to Margaret, not sure what was going on.
"You look ridiculous and you sound absurd, standing here making a fool of yourself-..." Was all that she got out before Meribel lit into her.
"Bitch, I am not the one, I will tear you apart in this place! Don't you dare pull that holier than thou shit with me! You sick, demented freak! You call yourself a teacher?! And how fuckin' dare you, break into my home! Go through our things! Steal pictures of my husband and piss - like the low life piece of white trash that you are - on my things - my clothing - because you can't have my man! Oh yeah, how do you like it now - you twisted whore!? I will fuckin' snatch you bald and finish that crack in your ass up to your neck bitch! You want to try me?! Huh puta?!! Tell these people, your friends, how you called my house over and over again, harassing me, calling me racist names because you want my husband!! TELL THEM BITCH! Tell them what a sick, psycho cunt you are! But you fucked up when you broke into my house bitch! We called the police! Yes! They have your finger prints! They have your foot prints! They have your nasty ass urine you silly sick whore!"
"Move and get out of my face!" Margaret hissed, trying to walk around Meribel, but she wouldn't let her by.
"MOVE me puta! Go ahead, try it! When the police are done, proving it was you in our house, we are going to press every fuckin' charge we can on you!"
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Margaret shouted, burning in shame.
"WHO YOU YELLING AT? YOU BROKE YOUR RESTRAINING ORDER CUNT!! NO! NO! LET ME GO!" Meribel snatched her arms free of her husband who was now there, trying to pull her away. "YOU HEAR ME-E-E! I CATCH YOU - NEAR MY HOME AGAIN - BE READY FOR AN ASS WHIPPIN' THEY'LL BE WRITING ABOUT IN THE NEXT NEW TESTAMENT OF THE BIBLE - YOU NASTY SICK STALKER!!" Meribel screamed at her, as Derrick lifted her off the ground and over his shoulder in order to take her out of there.
Sasha had run to him when she realized what was going on. But he could hear her loud and clear from the line and had been rushing to see where she was, his sons behind him. Everyone in the restaurant could hear her - which was her intent. Margaret had tried to walk away from her, but Meribel had gotten in her face, blocking her so she couldn't leave. Margaret dare not touch her, she was already afraid Meribel might attack her. None of the teachers with her, stood to step in and assist, they were too busy watching, listening, learning. As it was, gossip around the school made many of them aware - but not until that moment - had anything been absolute about her, Margaret; until Derrick's wife confronted her there.
The restaurant owner, manager, waitresses, all speaking in English and Chinese, were trying to get Derrick to get his screaming wife out of their establishment quicker. But Meribel grabbed hold of things so she could get her last words in. "SEE YOU - IN COURT - BITCH!!!" Was the last she screamed when Derrick, with his sons help, pealing their mother's fingers from the door frames that finally got her outside. He made quick steps toward the van, their children around them as Meribel struggled to get down.
"Put me down, now!" She ordered her husband.
Derrick ignored her until they got to the van, he stood at the passenger side door for her, "Open the door Marcus!" Who ran doing so right away, opening it for them. Derrick set her down, blocking her from getting out of that area, "Get in the van - now!" He ordered.
Looking up at him, she decided she'd had her say, in fact, she felt pretty good. Turning, she stepped, ever so lady like into the van, and crossed her hands over her lap. Derrick stood staring in at her profile a moment, shaking his head, he ordered the kids, "Get in!" They all jumped into the van. He slammed her door close and walked around opened his door and got in to the sounds of giggling and stifled laughter. His kids were trying to cover there mouths, making a true effort not to laugh at the scenario.
He started the van, sat a moment, then asked, "So, where would you all like to eat, since Chinese here is out of the question."
Laughter burst out and then quieted all but for a few sputters and snickers when he turned giving a narrowed glaring eye to those guilty of thinking this funny. Sighing, he looked once more at his wife's profile, "Well? Any suggestions?" He asked her.
"This is not the only Chinese restaurant in Madison."
Derrick nodded, "So you're right, and it's a good thing too, because we sure as hell won't be allowed in that one again."
"Upset because I embarrassed your piece on the side?" Meribel seeped nastily.
Surprising her, Derrick leaned over quickly, grabbed her by the cheeks, snatching her face around to him and growled out low, "She is not - my piece - on the side! Now, nor ever will be! Understand!? Enough!" He kissed her then, long and hard, letting go of her cheeks to palm the back of her head to keep her mouth to his; right in front of his kids. He didn't care. It was the kind of kiss they'd never seen their father give their mother. Each one sat watching with their eyes widening as the moments went by. When he finally broke the kiss, he looked into her eyes, declaring loud and clear, for all to hear, "You are the only woman, I will ever want - ever! Do you hear me?"
Meribel reached up to dry her lips, trying not to smile, nodding her head. "Yes papi, I hear you."
"Well it's about time." He leaned in, kissed her once more, and then sitting back on his side, pulled out of the parking lot.
Margaret Wheeler sat in her vehicle. She had seen them pull out of the parking lot. She sat in her vehicle feeling as if she had been on fire. Never in her entire life, had she felt such embarrassment, so much humiliation. The scene burned so deeply into her that her mind spun with it. Once Meribel had been taken from the restaurant, she had turned, face still burning to try and dismiss her as being ridiculous, but not one of the people she'd come there to meet, would look her in the face now. They all, suddenly appeared to be embarrassed to be with her, the ugliest silence she'd ever known was directed at her. Having no other choice, she'd grabbed her purse and left the restaurant. She knew they would now spend the rest of the time there talking about her. She could just imagine the things they would be saying. She couldn't believe that she'd done such a thing, in a public restaurant in front of everyone. She couldn't believe that Derrick couldn't see the difference in them; if that had been her that someone had done those things to, she would have never lowered herself to making such a public spectacle of herself - airing her dirty laundry in front of complete strangers. Now everyone knew. Margaret sat as it went through her mind, that those teachers would tell others, and in no time at all, they would all know her business, thanks to his low-class wife! The more she thought about it, the angrier she became from what she'd done to her. 'How dare you do that to me, who do you think you are!? Humiliate me that way! I'll teach you, I will certainly, teach you!'

L.A. - Wherrington Manor
"What are you still doing here?!" Georgiana demanded, charging into Oscar T.'s office.
"I live here, you silly twit!" He responded looking over the repairman's shoulders as they were fixing his desk, re-installing his security drawers so they could be locked and not broken into again.
"I told you, I want you out of here!"
"Tough! Take me to court! I'll leave when I damn well please! Don't forget, we're still married, I have every right to be here, and here I will remain, until a judge says otherwise."
"I want you away from me! Out of my life!" She shouted.
"So you get the hell out then! I like it here, and here - I plan on staying."
"After what you tried to do to our own daughter!!!" She raged.
"You watch your damn mouth in front of the workers! Spreading lies started by your lover!"
"Everett Styles is not my lover!"
"Breaks your heart doesn't it?" He hissed at her.
"When it comes to real dick, a woman has to get it where she can! 'Specially when her husband's nothing but a mini limp noodle." She fired back, evil look on her face.
"Yeah, he is a real dick and you're a real cunt!"
"That's Ms. Billion-dollar-Cunt to you - you common white trash coal miners son! My father covered my mother in diamonds and yours covered your mother in coal dust! So common he didn't even have the manners to wash his ass clean before he jumped her, and she was so common, she didn't care!"
He lunged at her, "Do it, all it takes is one hit, and I'll have you out so fast it'll make your head spine." She threatened.
He stopped and laughed at her, "Don't you wish. Yeah, I guess I'd best be on my best behavior, after all, give you enough rope, you'll hang yourself. By all means, carry on my dear wife, societies top nympho'! You've had more prick than a pin cushion. I've accepted that about you, but won't stand for you accusing me of trying to kill our own daughter!"
