Darius stood in the driveway of his home with a contractor right by his side. “Are you sure about this?” the man asked. “Yes,” Darius said. “Tear it down. I want the new house built within the year just like the plans state.”

“Do you know how much this is going to cost?”

“I don’t care. Just do it.”

The contractor nodded. “It’s your money. It’ll be done within the year.”

Darius nodded, turned and walked away from his home. The next time he planned to step foot on this ground would be to see a new home with a new life.
