Paige and I are moving to the beat of the music as Max brings our drinks over "Thanks Max" I say to him. "This place is nice," I shout to Paige, she nods sipping on her straw. Knox puts his arm around my waist when another person interrupts our little outing "Oh My God!!! Knox" some girl screams running at him wrapping her arms and legs around him "When did you get back into town, OMG" Knox is trying to extract her looking a little panicked he pushes and she slides down fixing her dress "Hey Bev" she smiles looking around noticing Max and us "Hey are you guys playing again?" she asks looking a little excited. Knox coughs "Hey Bev this is my girlfriend Bailey and Max's girlfriend Paige" he nods at each of us.
Paige and I look at each other then Max puts his arm around her shoulders and nods at the girl "Bev" she waves at him smiling fro ear to ear "Any way I'll catch you guys later, maybe we can have a dance" she takes off, both Knox and Max sigh in relief. Max takes his hand off Paige "Sorry but she wouldn't leave us alone if she knew either of us was single," he says to us.
Paige and I dance as the guys do what guys do and stand they're watching us. I get annoyed with it and grab Knox onto the dance floor with me, Max is laughing until Paige grabs him shutting him up. We are all dancing together having fun, the music is loud and thumping. Paige and I take off to the restroom as the guys get more drinks. Paige is a little off balance and giggling I bring her into the big stall with me so I can keep an eye on her. She is facing the door when we hear a girl in the next stall "Hey you would not believe who is back in town, what? No the Porters" Both Paige and I look at each other I put my finger to my lips to shush her and she nods, we listen on,
"You need to get down here, they are with two sluts but if you get here we can be like old times with them" she is quiet for a minute "Yes I'll meet you at the door in ten, bye". We wait for her to leave then Paige opens her mouth "Get up I need to pee I have ten minutes to make Max fall in love with me" she pulls me up out of her way "Jesus Paige let a girl finish" she just waves "No time" We wash our hands and fix our faces then run back to Knox and Max.
"Hi baby" I say kissing him, he wraps his arms around me enjoying himself "Hey yourself" he hands me my drink, I see Paige looking conflicted I know she wants to be with Max but I don't think she is brave enough even with alcohol. Sliding up to her I put my hand to her ear "What are you waiting for?" She looks at me and shrugs "I can't just kiss him, what if pushes me away?" I roll my eyes at her "Hey you heard that chick, its you or her. Make your move Paige or you will loose" The music changes to a slow song so I bump Paige off balance and watch Max catch her "Hey Paige, If you wanted to dance you should have said" he winks at her and she nods. Glaring back at me, I just smile and wave.
Knox takes my hand twirling me into him as we dance "Why did you do that?" I look at him confused; he shakes his head laughing "Push Paige into Max?" I smile "He was taking to long" I shrug wrapping my arms around him "Oh Bailey, Bailey" I press my lips to his silencing him. Knox pulls me closer resting his head against mine "Are you coming home with me?" he nods without taking his head away "Good because I have a surprise for you" he pulls back looking at me with his eyebrow raised "Commando baby commando" I smile. Knox takes both my hands in his bringing them to his lips pressing hard "You are going to kill me" I laugh placing my hands on his face as he wraps his arms around me "I love you Knox Porter" he crushes his lips to mine probing my mouth with his tongue as grabs my ass groaning into my mouth, pushing his hips into me showing me just how much he wants me.
The music picks up again, I grind against Knox with the beat of the music he dances in time with me, feeling the music pulse, the alcohol in my system and my boyfriend dancing like a stripper with me gives me a heady feeling. I look over to see Paige by the bar with Max both standing looking around, I frown turning to Knox "Hey babe, Does Max like Paige" Knox shrugs "I don't know and right now I don't care" he dances closer to me putting his hands on my waist under Neath my top. We dance for a few more songs "Need a drink?" he asks. I nod, as we walk to the bar I pull Knox down to me "Find out if Max likes Paige" Knox looks like I just asked him to shoot someone "Babe she really likes him" I say slapping his ass "Ok, Ok Jesus you chicks " he holds his hands up.
Paige and I do a shot or two and go back to dance but not too far from Knox and Max, I see them talking so I turn my head "Paige what happened?" she looks upset "Nothing, he danced for one song then got a drink" "I'm sorry" I say rubbing her arm she shrugs. I look over to see two girls in very little clothing chatting up Max and Knox; I see the little touches on the arm or the chest. One of them even tries to slide in between Max's legs. I stop dancing and walk a few steps towards them, I cross my arms and stand looking at Knox with my eyebrow raised, Paige is beside me "Well I guess they made it" she says.
Max and Knox don't even notice us and are too busy laughing and flirting. I walk over taking my drink then walk away as Knox grabs me "Whoa darlin what are you doing?" I take my arm back "Don't you remember the other night?" he looks quizzically at me "The night I got my stitches Knox, I told you don't fucking do that to me again. If you want to be a playboy then finish it with me, I don't play second fiddle" I finish my drink then go back to dance turning my back on them. Paige is eyeballing the bar over my shoulder "They are coming over" she announces stepping in front of me starting to dance. I just continue dancing when I feel Knox slide his arms around my waist he leans down into my ear "Darlin I would not do that to you again, we used to know them" I laugh breaking away from him "Yeah I heard her in the restroom calling her reinforcements, to come and be like the old times with the Porter's"
It's his turn to laugh "Yeah darlin and like the old days they didn't get anywhere" I see the two girls watching us from the bar; I put my arms around Knox. Glancing at Paige she looks pissed off, I nod to Max and mouth "Do it" I see the resolve in her eye then she grabs him and kisses him fisting her hands into his hair. I am in shock, Max is not pushing her away either. Putting my finger on Knox's cheek turning his head towards them. He just grins pulling me into him "Remind me again of my surprise?" he asks, I shake my head no and he nods yes, we do this a few times before I kiss him hard.
At the end of the night we are walking out to the car when the doorman stops Knox "Hey Bro, good seeing you again. Are you in town for a while?" Knox shakes his head "No just tonight" They guy nods "Ok cool bro, come back again. It was good seeing you and Max" Knox smiles shaking his hand as we step out into the cold night. We all get into the limo tired and slightly drunk. Max and Paige are all over each other, turning to Knox I smile "Awe our very own peep show" I whisper. "Get over here" he pulls me onto his lap kissing me. Sliding his hand up my skirt, groaning into my mouth. He slides his hand down to my knee, nuzzling my neck "Just checking" he whispers. I smile against his lips "You're allowed to".
The limo drops us off at my house "You guys will get in trouble if you stay" I look at Max and Knox who both have desire in their eyes, Opening the door Paige and Max take off up to the guest bedroom. I am laughing at them when Knox grabs me from behind "What are you laughing at?" he lifts me up into his arms walking up to my room. We just about make it into the room before our lips are joined; the kiss is hard and wanting. Knox is pulling my top off as he walks me backwards towards the bed kissing me all the way. I open his shirt as he pushes me against the wall, running my hands down his chest and abdomen I reach fro his belt. I sit at the table and put my cheek on it "Yeah, why are you so chipper?" he rubs his face with his hands "About three coffees" I just smile at him. Knox smooth's my hair from behind me "You ok darlin?" Lifting my head I turn to him "Yeah babe". Paige strolls in looking a little green "Oh god what did I drink?" she asks sliding into the chair resting her head in her hands "Everything" Max answers getting up to make her a coffee. We all look and feel like hell, I hear a shrill ringing coming from the counter "Make it stop" Paige cries covering her ears.
I get up looking in my purse for my phone "Hello" I croak "Hey Bails" I hear on the other end, I check my watch it's only eight am. "Your up early" I say as I lay down on the window seat. "I thought you would be celebrating today?" Brad snorts, "No I am not, you sound hung over" "That's because I am Brad" he laughs "Yeah I can tell" I feel Knox put his hand on my hip, lifting my glasses I look up to him. "You hungry?" I smile nodding at him as he bends down to kiss me.
"So how come you're calling me the morning after your engagement party?" He sighs "Yeah, that didn't happen" I turn so I am lying on my back putting my feet up onto the wall "Why is that then?" I ask him. "Let's just say that you were right and I was wrong about a lot of things" "Brad you don't need to call to tell me that, it's your life and you need to live it" "I know Bails, I just wanted to tell you that I finally saw Emily and Ben for what they are. I don't know why but the last few weeks I have been thinking of Summer and all the stuff she went through"
"Yeah I know, it's hard to forget," I say. "That's the thing I did forget, I forgot I was her friend since we were thirteen and you were right when you told me that but I just couldn't see it at the time. I don't know why I agreed to get engaged in the first place"
"Maybe she manipulated you too" I shrug not that he can see me "Yeah I guess she did, I just wanted to call to apologize and see how you are doing? I do miss talking to you"
I wish I could tell him the same but I can't, I have moved on "I am good Brad really good, apart from the hangover" "Oh yeah that bad huh?" he asks "Yep go big or go home bad" I say and we both laugh "Wow must have been a good night" I smile as I watch Knox make us breakfast "Yeah it was great, we had fun at a club" Brad picks up on the "we" "Ah so you are seeing someone?" "Yes I am, he is great" Brad is quiet for a few minutes "Well I will let you go I just wanted to say hi" he says again "Ok Brad bye, hope it works out for you" "Yeah you to Bails, see ya" I hang up the phone rolling off the window seat.
Knox looks at me giving me a small smile, I know he is probably wondering why Brad called me so I walk over slipping under his arm "Everything ok?" he asks. "Yes babe, he was calling to tell me that he did not get engaged to that evil witch because he finally saw in her what I seen all along" Knox just nods turning over the bacon. I kiss his chest above his heart "You know you make me happy Knox?" I ask him, he beams one of his dazzling smiles at me "Yeah darlin I do".
"Oh get a room you two" Paige calls out, Knox and I laugh at her. I help him serve the breakfast. Noticing Max and Paige acting weird towards each other I guess I will find out later what's up. "So got your costume for tonight?" I ask everybody. Knox and Max nod "Yeah batman they say together" I nod "Two batman's in one band huh?" they laugh "No four batman's in one band, we are all wearing the same" "You guys are nuts" I say.
At about two in the afternoon I drop the guys home then Paige and I head into town for lunch, we sit outside at the pizza place enjoying the October air "So what's the deal with you and Max" she just shrugs "I don't know, I mean I thought last night was amazing but this morning he kind of ignored me. Maybe he thinks I am a whore for putting out on a first date" I nearly choke on my soda "No way Paige, Maybe he was just trying to be cool you know the way guys act like douche's" she laughs "Yeah I hope so because I do like him" I hope he likes her too and is not playing her, I like Max but that would be bullshit on his part if he is.
