Turning to face Max I want to punch him in the mouth "I am not loosing my shit over her, I fucking love her! Do I have to explain that to you again? So of course I want you and George to like her!" I shout back at him, fucking idiot. "I do like her Knox you know that. I think you are good together but you keep mixing up your emotions towards her, did you not see her face back there. She was scared, weather it was for you or of you I don't know" I snap my head up to look at him "Why would she be scared of me, I would never hurt her Max"
"Yeah I know, so calm the fuck down" I sit on the curb watching the door of the bar. "Look Knox we will talk to George tomorrow, I don't know if I should even take Paige out now" I look over to my brother I know he has been lonely since Sarah left last summer but for some reason he didn't want another relationship just a fuck here and there, but now. "Hey do you like her?" I ask him, he smiles looking across the street "So take her out, don't let him tell you otherwise. We already dealt with one fucking asshole father we don't need another one" I say throwing a rock.
Max checks his watch "Let's get these drunks out so we can go get laid" he says standing up, I can't help but laugh "Yeah because three times last night wasn't enough for me" I say looking at him, he punches my arm "Fuck you". We walk into the bar and start shouting for everyone to leave. Most people leave the minute we start shouting I think they know we mean business, there is one or two chicks trying to get our phone numbers "Awe come on batman, how about I be your Robin?" some chick says as I take the empty glasses "Sorry I already have a cat woman" I say walking away. The chick and her friends laugh "Yeah I saw her, that girl needs to put on some panties" turning around I slam the glasses down "We are closed go home" they stop laughing pushing each other to get out of the booth.
Max and I have the bar empty within ten minutes I take off my costume, which I forgot I was wearing and put on my t-shirt. "Let's go Max" I shout out through the beads. My uncle took off already I don't get him. Max walks down the hall turning off the lights. Taking out my phone I text Bailey I will meet her at her place. "Hey I am going straight up to Bailey's, I'll see you tomorrow" I hug him tight "Ok be safe" he nods "You too, bro see you tomorrow". We pull onto the road going in opposite directions.
Bailey
I get a text from Knox telling me to meet him at home "I better go" I say to Paige waving my phone. "I hope he is ok I so do not want to fight" she hugs me "I'm sure he is ok, you know guys" we hear the roar of a motorcycle "Well your date is here, I will vacate the parking space" I smile as she climbs out "Night Bailey" I pull out as Max arrives waving at him I drive off.
By the time I get home I am exhausted, pulling into the drive I see Knox sitting on his bike with his feet on the ground and his arms crossed. He follows me into the garage opening my door "Hey, your baby looks great. They did a good job on her" he looks over the car checking for any discrepancies. "Yeah they did" I walk into the house silencing the alarm heading straight for the hot chocolate "Would you like one?" I ask over my shoulder "No thanks darlin" Knox sits on the chair with his arms on his knees and his head low, I can see the tension in his jaw. When my drink is ready I am hesitant to go over but I do and sit beside him.
I can feel his body heat slam into me "You ok Knox?" he heaves a heavy sigh raising his head to me, his eyes are a dark green now with burning anger behind them, I take a drink of my hot chocolate and notice my hand shaking, Jesus what is wrong with me today. "Yeah I'm ok, I am pissed off at my uncle for treating you like that" I just nod because at this moment I don't trust my voice "Bailey, I love you. I know we are only together for a short while but I can't stop myself from loving you. You are the first thought in my head and the last. I want to protect you from everything and everyone so, seeing that bullshit tonight" he sighs raking his hand through his hair. "Then you on the ground nearly having some kind of attack just pushed me over the edge, I am sorry if I scared you. I can't help but feel you are keeping secrets from me"
I look at him and swallow hard I don't know if he will finally tell me its over now but I am honestly expecting it "It was a panic attack, I got my first one when I woke up in the hospital after Summer, then a few more from nightmares after that but I haven't had one since July so I thought they were gone" I look into is face looking for some hint of what he is feeling but that stoic mask I first saw him wear is back. I sip my drink but now my stomach is churning. "Do you think were moving to fast?"
I can feel my heart beat pick up, I inhale a deep breath through my nose counting to five then let it out "I don't think we are but If you do then I will understand, I know I have a lot of drama surrounding me but I am trying really hard to move forward with my life and I want you to be a part of it, but like I said if you don't want to I will understand" I put my hands under my legs to control the shaking but nothing is working. Knox looks at me "Are you crazy? Of course I want to be with you. I think you are amazing and strong, for all that you have been through Bailey I admire you for getting yourself together so quickly" He reaches for my hand linking my fingers with his "Baby you're shaking"
I smile weakly "I'm ok now" pulling me into his lap "Bailey please don't hide anything from me" he smooth's my hair. "I thought you wanted to break up with me," I say sheepishly. His eyes grow large "No way darlin never. I am keeping you all to myself" I feel myself relax against him "Knox, I know I am a bit of a mess right now but since I met you I have been able to bring back little pieces of myself and I just want to say thanks" he peppers kisses on my lips and jaw line "You don't have to thank me Bailey, that's what love is for and you are not a mess" I see his eyes soften returning to that bright emerald green I love so much "Now darlin lets go to bed" I bite my bottom lip trying to stop the grin that spread across my face "I love when you call me that" I say nuzzling his neck as he carries me to bed.
Over the past two weeks Knox and I have been spending as much time together as possible, we decided to get to know each other a bit more by ourselves and away from the bar. Knox took me back to the mountains to that spot for a picnic again, we talked about our childhoods and growing up which weren't all the different from one another. Where my parents got divorced, his mom passed away so we both lost a little of ourselves through different circumstances.
Knox and I have grown closer and it feels good, tonight is our last night staying in my dad's house because he will be home tomorrow so Knox wanted to have a romantic dinner at home. He is quite a caring person when you strip away the motorcycle and tattoo's but that is who he is to me and I wouldn't change it. He is cooking downstairs and I am banished to my room until he texts me. I have decided to dress nice for him so I put on a pair of black satin pants and my gypsy shirt I bought when I first got here. I only use lip-gloss and mascara tonight, I don't want anything to hinder the after dinner romancing. I am watching a movie when my phone beeps telling me I can come down to the kitchen.
Giddy with excitement I run down the stairs and into the kitchen where I stop dead in my tracks. Knox has the table laid out like a five star restaurant, with cutlery, wine glasses and candles. I am so surprised by the table I don't even notice him standing beside me. "Hi darlin" he kisses my cheek, I turn slowly looking into his handsome face "Knox, wow" I breath. He smiles taking my hand leading me to my chair "Anything for my beautiful" he says pulling out my chair. Sitting down I still can't believe this, he brings over two plates with roast chicken, veg and a baked potato. "Thank you babe" I say rubbing his leg as he sits to the side of me "You are welcome" I smile so wide I think my cheeks will pop. Knox raises his glass to me so I pick up mine "To us, I will miss waking up beside you Bailey" we clink glasses and I feel the pin prick of tears. "I will miss you too" I smile at him. After dinner we watch a movie and fool around on the sofa. "What time does your dad get in tomorrow?"
"About noon but he's going to the office before he comes home, why? Are looking forward to meeting him?" Knox laughs into my neck "No way, What guy wants to meet the father of the girl he is sleeping with" I roll on top of him pinning his hands beside his head "Well My dad is cool I am sure you will be ok" leaning down I kiss him "I better take my time tonight, just in case" he says kissing me back. I smile down to him memorizing every detail about his handsome face, every hair that falls into his eyes and his perfectly kissable lips.
"See something you like darlin?" he raises an eyebrow and I laugh "Yes babe I see a whole lot" letting his hands free he puts them on my hips "You know your beautiful, right" shaking my head no, he laughs taking my face in his hands lowering it to his "You are and your mine" our lips meet in a soft sensual embrace. I love kissing him, his lips fit with mine like they were meant for each other. Knox rolls on top of me then lifts me up into his arms "Bed darlin I want to make the most of tonight" rolling my eyes I wrap my arms around his neck as he takes the stairs "You are going to have to take your truck more often babe" he looks at me smirking "Well you won't fit in the back seat of my car, you are to tall" I kiss his neck and feel him chuckle "Sure if you say so darlin".
Knox lies me on the bed "Be naked when I come back" he winks going into the bathroom, "Demanding much?" I shout after him while removing my clothes. He comes back with a bottle of massage oil "Where did you get that?" he just shrugs taking off his clothes. I lay on my stomach as he smooth's the oil on my back massaging slowly "Do you know how give a massage now?" I feel his body heat as he leans down to my ear "Does it matter?" he whispers. I shake my head no and relax back onto the bed. His hands work across my shoulders moving down my back slowly, he reaches my ass paying close attention there, slipping his hand between my legs teasing me. I can't help the moan that escapes, with one had he massages my lower back while the other he inserts his fingers inside me slowly moving in and out. The sensation is amazing I have to bite my lip to stop myself crying out in pleasure, he slides his fingers out while kissing my neck and shoulders positioning himself above me he enters me from behind. Keeping his movement slow he glides in and out, my breathing is getting heavier with each push of his hips. He cocks an eyebrow at me "Demanding much?" giggling I nod yes; I let my knees fall apart as he lowers his head. The alarm goes off at six in the morning alerting me for my run, turning it off I roll back into Knox "Lazy" he says kissing my temple, "I want another hour in your arms" he pulls me close wanting the same thing. By eight thirty we arrive on campus, we don't have classes together but have a half hour of overlapping lunch "Ok babe see you on the quad for lunch" Knox pulls me close kissing me "Love you Bailey see you in a while" I kiss him again before walking in opposite directions, I am half way across the grounds when I turn looking over my shoulder. Knox is doing the same to me, we both laugh and wave taking out my phone I text him.
Me: miss you already
Knox: Miss you too
I put my phone away as I walk into computer class, Paige waves me over to her "Hi Paige" she smiles "Hi Bailey how's it going?" I look at her with a sad expression "Knox won't be staying anymore dad is home today" Paige gives me a hug "You guys can always hang out in my guest room" "Yeah maybe I just might take you up on that" our instructor walks into the class, this is my favorite class so I shush Paige and she laughs at me "Kiss ass". We are assigned a group project so Paige and I agree to be partners as we discuss our work the instructor asks me to stay behind after class "Ooh what did you do" Paige sings. "Nothing, at least I hope so" she looks at me sideways "I will see you at lunch" then she walks out of the room.
